On a planetoid in Wild Space, Emil Graf, CR-8R "Crater", and BB-00 "Boo" were busy trying to get mynocks off their starship, the Star Herald. Crater recommended that Graf try a more "softer" approach to getting the mynocks. Graf did not understand what he meant and Crater offered to explain.
Many years earlier, the assassin droid, IG-88B was given the task of capturing the Gatto Gang who owned a lot of money to the Black Sun. As IG-88 was walking through a market, the gang noticed him and split up. One of the the gang members, Moggee made a run for it. He connected three Energy binders in order to get IG-88 electrocuted. Realizing what was going on, IG-88 instead lifted the lever, causing Moggee to be electrocuted by the energy binders.
Another gang member, Ziggee was running across the tops of stores and shouting at IG-88 to try to get him. Ziggee went to go make a leap across a building but slammed into a billboard in front of IG-88.
The final gang member, Sylvestarr ran into a store and grabbed a jetpack and a helmet. But the jetpack flew off and Sylverstarr stayed on the ground. IG-88 came by with the other gang members and they all walked off.
Back on the Star Herald, Emil Graf was able to catch all the mynocks, taking Crater's advice to take his time and not to rush.

Notes and references
- As shown in "The Lost Stories, Part 3," the events of all the Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Wild Space comics are set a relatively short time apart. "Tales from Wild Space: The Best Pet" depicts CR-8R being aware of the events following those of Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, and "The Lost Stories, Part 1" features the First Order. The Star Wars Book places The Last Jedi thirty-four years after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope and the fall of the First Order thirty-five years after A New Hope, which, according to Star Wars: Galactic Atlas, corresponds to 34 ABY and 35 ABY, respectively. Therefore, the Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Wild Space comics must take place at some point between those years.
- Tales from Wild Space: "IG-88 vs. the Gatto Gang" takes place some time during the Imperial Era, which began in 19 BBY and ended in 5 ABY according to Star Wars: Galactic Atlas.
