Tales of the Jedi: The Golden Age of the Sith 2: Funeral for a Dark Lord is the second (not counting the prologue issue 0) issue in the Tales of the Jedi: The Golden Age of the Sith series of comics. It was originally published on November 1, 1996 by Dark Horse Comics, and has since been republished in both Tales of the Jedi: The Golden Age of the Sith (TPB) and the upcoming Omnibus: Tales of the Jedi Volume 1.
Marka Ragnos ruled the galaxy with an iron fist. He was the Dark Lord of the Sith — the most powerful of the most powerful. But now he is dead. And two innocent hyperspace explorers, Gav and Jori Daragon, may follow suit if they get caught between the warring factions hoping to fill the Dark Lord void.
During a funeral procession on Korriban for Dark Lord of the Sith Marka Ragnos, Sith rivals Naga Sadow and Ludo Kressh, both hopeful to become the next Dark Lord, engage each other in a vicious sword fight. They are interrupted by the ghost of Marka Ragnos, who explains that the Sith Empire will soon die if something is not done. On Koros Major, Odan-Urr explains to Empress Teta that he has had a vision of an impending Sith attack.
Back on Korriban, Gav and Jori Daragon arrive, having input random coordinates when fleeing from Koros Major. They offer a trade agreement, but the Sith's Massassi warriors grab them and take them prisoner.
