During a funeral procession on Korriban for Dark Lord of the Sith Marka Ragnos, Sith rivals Naga Sadow and Ludo Kressh, both hopeful to become the next Dark Lord, engage each other in a vicious sword fight. They are interrupted by the ghost of Marka Ragnos, who explains that the Sith Empire will soon die if something is not done. On Koros Major, Odan-Urr explains to Empress Teta that he has had a vision of an impending Sith attack.
