Thanks to their recent inclusion in the novel Survivor's Quest and the movie Revenge of the Sith, members of the 501st Legion are the only known living Star Wars characters.

What does this mean, exactly? Red Head Rider 21:41, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

It could be better worded, but I think it is trying to point out that the real-world organization came first, and then they were added as character's to the film by Lucas as a tribute to their good works. —MJBurrageTALK • 14:55, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Survivor's Quest was released in 2004 whereas the organization has been around for many years before that. Now my question is, when was the first garrison formed? -- Riffsyphon1024 05:32, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
    • You mean the real-life or the ficticious organization? Stake black msg 23:38, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
      • The real life version of course. I assume that the in-universe 501st started with the first batch of clone troopers on Kamino. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:31, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
        • The first Garrison was formed just after 1997. The Legion's been around for 10 years now. KChristley 07:52, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
          • Thank you for your response Mr. Christley. -- Riffsyphon1024 04:02, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

A minor addition Edit

Hello there... I just made a minor adition into the 501st Units list...

I just added COSTA RICA OUTPOST to the list.

Your freindly nightbor XENDOR a.k.a ID5494 Ed "Grand Admiral ED" Jara. GPR Costa Rica Outpost

How are Country Detachments Formed?Edit

I am Cipher from Ireland and just noticed that Ireland doesn't have a Detachment. I'm too young to know how to set them up and don't have any uniforms or any means to make them. Do you have to like register somewhere and is there an age limit?Ciphe 21:16, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

  • I would check out the 501st's official website, and get in contact with their public relations people. --Xarathion 03:11, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Minor addition Edit

I noticed that the Imperial Gunnery Corps did not have a link so I added it in. Also corrected the theme to point at the Wookipedia article and not a blank page.

Added an external link to the detachment as well.

User:Stormer1850- Also someone should add the Great Lakes Garrison to the list. I should soon be a part of it.

17 And Under? Edit

I just went to my local garrison's website, and it said that it accepts only (among other requirements) people who are 18 or over. Does anybody know why, or if there are any other 501st-like groups for people under 18? Stormie1138 03:05, June 10, 2010 (UTC)
