Why is it that we have to explain away continuity errors when the Prequels disagree with the Expanded universe???
Not all STAR WARS fans recognize the Prequels and some of these fans are angered by the Prequels lack of continuity with products we have spent hundreds of dollars for over the last 30+ years. The Battle of Dreighton occurred 37 years before the battle of Yavin and is in conflict with the Prequels. Lets be honest with the public please.
We should be exposing these conflicts for the benefit of Gamemasters who run STAR WARS Roleplaying Games. History is paramount to Game masters and trying to cover up these mistakes does the roleplaying community a disservice. Again lets be honest with the public please and give them the privilege to come to their own conclusions about continuity errors. To do otherwise is forcing your own personal agenda on the readers/visitors of this site.
Thank you.

- You expect Wookieepedia to ignore canon, no matter how retconned it may be, to accommodate the whims of one subset of fans? Time for you to have a reality check. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 18:20, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
- "Retcon" is a dangerous word. If you keep changing the past (history) you disrupt the present and erase the original reason why we became STAR WARS Fans in the first place. If you forget the past you unravel the future. "Subset" or large percentage??? If you were to survey SW fans you might be shocked to discover how few supporters of the prequels there really are out there. Another pervasive problem is many of the original SW fans who hated the prequels are no longer SW fans at all (they gave up on SW completely). I myself lost a few SWRPG players permanently because of the prequels. You may not like admitting it, but detractors of the Prequels exist and exist in great numbers. It might be nice to see the Wookieepedia Community having some tolerance for a broader STAR WARS audience by being more inclusive of those who do not recognize the Prequels. Food for thought my fellow editors. - Frank V Bonura
- You're always welcome to create your own wiki that stops recording SW material at 1999 if you like. Dangerdan97 00:04, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
