Why does this page exist? It's exactly the same as the Pre-Republic Era. --{{SUBST:User:AvatarRokusGhost/Sig}} 07:04, May 15, 2012 (UTC)

No, it isn't. "Before the Republic era" is an out-of-universe era—a publishing era—while "Pre-Republic era" is a chronological in-universe time period.--LelalMekha 08:23, May 15, 2012 (UTC)

If 6 Was 7[]

This article claims the Before the Republic era is both "the seventh in-universe publishing era ... established" and "the first since the creation of the original five publishing eras." Both of these can't be correct.

(It's possible "in-universe" is misplaced: that this is both "the seventh publishing era established" and "the first in-universe era since the original five," since the Infinities "era" is not an in-universe time frame.)

Is there a real-world timeline of publishing eras: when each was established, when names were changed, etc.? Asithol (talk) 22:01, May 12, 2016 (UTC)

You're right, and I've corrected the article! This Leland Chee blog clearly establish the creation of the Legacy Era as the sixth. However, I don't know yet how to reference the fact that "Before the Republic" is the seventh, and I'll leave it as that for now.
