NPOV[]

The article doesn't feel like an encyclopedic entry, although the expansion was great it needs to be reworked to avoid retelling the novel or adding personal bias toward the character and their actions.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 05:03, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

  • I agree. A lot of the article reads more poetic than it does objective or factual. I'm not sure how much of it's just directly lifted from the novelization(s), but either way, I don't think that fits in with standards. Reddyredcp (talk) 05:25, July 13, 2020 (UTC)
    • I also agree. Many sections aren't paring down or synthesizing the information into a "historic" style/perspective, particularly where they paraphrase from internal narratives in novelization(s). I'm up for taking on a piece of it. -- Immora (talk) 02:29, July 15, 2020 (UTC)

So is he good or bad?[]

I am learning about Star Wars and hope to watch it soon, but I don't know if Ben Solo is evil or good. From my knowledge he used to be evil but now he is good.Unsigned comment by SomebodyRandomly (talk • contribs).

  • It's way more complicated than this, but basically he was good, then he turned bad, then he turned good again. Crawly Monster (talk) 00:18, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

Species: Human (Chandrilan)[]

Implies Chandrilan is his ethnicity. But his father is Corellian and his mother is half-Naboo, so how exactly is he of Chandrilan ethnicity? --Potsk (talk) 21:37, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

  • Chandrilan refers to any person from Chandrila, so I don't think it's unreasonable to say that he's a Chandrilan. It's not exactly an ethnicity in the sense that "French" is in our world, at least not to my understanding. VergenceScatter (talk) 22:17, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
    • Then why is it in "Species" if it has nothing to do with his race/ethnicity? --Potsk (talk) 08:49, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
      • Listing a culture of birth or adoption isn't unique to this article. See for example Leia Skywalker Organa Solo who is Alderaanian rather than of the Naboo culture like Padmé Amidala (and not a culture from the Polis Massa Base either), or the Jedi Master Depa Billaba (Chalactan). Immi Thrax RainbowRebellion2 (talk) 09:39, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
        • It still doesn't make any sense to have it under "species". "Twi'lek (Rutian)" or "Sith (Kissai)" are much more fitting examples. Why not have a "Culture" module rather than placing it somewhere it clearly doesn't belong? --Potsk (talk) 12:42, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
          • I see why it may not seem like the right place, but at the moment, it's in keeping with other articles. An idea like that is an infobox change that would affect many articles, not just this one, so it's a bit beyond this talk page. Perhaps you could ask why it's this way in the Ask An Editor A Question discussion post or begin a Senate Hall topic? Immi Thrax RainbowRebellion2 (talk) 13:24, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
