ROJ or ROTJ?[]
I'm pretty sure the What's the Story? caption for this was wrong, as it was featured in (I think) Galactic Gallery recently as the 'ROTJ BG Ship', and I can't imagine what ROJ stands for. If anyone has information to contradict me, feel free to change it. --Thetoastman 05:54, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I reckon it is what the article describes it as "Return of the Jedi background ship". It's pretty cool that they're looking at these more unknown designs now. I hope to see more mystery ships from both ESB as well as ROTJ get some attention. Not to mention some of the mystery wreckage seen on Mygeeto and Saleucami in ROTS. VT-16 10:11, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
- I totally agree- the idea of fans not just writing the backstory of an unknown, seen-for-half-a-second character but instead the specifications of an entire, unique cruiser definitely vindicates my Hyperspace fees. --Thetoastman 17:27, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
- I even hear they're eventually going to move over to more EU stuff, when they run out of movie items. That's going to be fun to watch... 8) VT-16 09:08, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, until I saw this article, I wasn't aware of this cruiser. Now I find out that the specifications are going to be created. Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 01:50, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- Since I'm a bit vary about names, could any of you, if you've got access to the competition, please give it a name that includes "corvette" or at least "frigate"? It's not that big a deal, but those who know me here, know I like warship nomenclature to be more "down-to-Earth". ;) VT-16 09:07, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- I haven't submited an entry since I tried working on the planet now known as Bal'demic. But I might try to give it a name, at least. Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 12:35, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- Does anyone know what size this is? If it's about as big as a Corellian Corvette, then it should be a corvette. Ship classifications are already screwed up enough as it is, and I hope this doesn't end up as a [small] "cruiser." JimRaynor55 23:30, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- I think it's around the size of a Corellian corvette, but the Official Site supplied an image from RotJ showing this ship and Home One for size comparison. Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 00:04, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
- Oh no, if they go with "HO being 1 200 meters", then this'll be much smaller than the CR90. VT-16 13:07, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
- Shows how much I know... Oh well. Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 13:11, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
- Well, no matter the size of the original model, it was seen so briefly and from so far away that I really doubt model-accurate sizing will be taken into account by the judges. I mean, honestly, how do we know it wasn't as big as the Executor? It's far too far away in both shots to tell. --Thetoastman 18:18, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
- But wasn't it shown next to other Rebel starships in the movie that would allow us to determine Home One's size? Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 18:23, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
- One of those shots, yes. But it's not the safest way to judge any size, since it's closer to the camera than the HO. In the other scene (pic in the article), it's moving relative to the camera (or vise-versa), and there it looks similar in size to the CR90 in front of it. VT-16 20:51, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
- I understand it's not the safest way, but it does give us a figure. Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 21:29, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

- On the ship's BTS name; The Hyperspace Photoreceptor featured this ship in one of its earlier images, which was tagged with "ROJ BG Ship", not "ROTJ BG Ship". That's why WtS called it as such; LucasFilm themselves designated it as ROJ - Kwenn 17:16, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

- Oh... that makes sense. When I originally created this article, I assumed that was a typo. I saw that Photoreceptor a while back, but I didn't remember its actual name. Since ROJ is the only official name we have right now, we should use that one. I'll redirect. --Thetoastman 02:33, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- Am I crazy, or does this ship have an insane amount of firepower on it, considering it is only 90 meters long? Yeah, I know it has the whole "built exclusively for war" gimmick, but compare to the Corellian Gunship, which is 120 meters.--TIEDefenderPilot 06:11, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- Why is it impossible, though? Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 11:20, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- I never said it was impossible; I do believe it is highly ridiculous, however.--TIEDefenderPilot 05:04, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

Rebellion[]
I think this ship shows up in the background of either issue 2 or 3 of Rebellion, so does that place it in the fleet prior to ROTJ?Tocneppil 19:52, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
- We'll need to have it confirmed first. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 01:15, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- Aren't Capital ships sized at 300 meters and over? I fail to see how, if this is so, anything so small as 90 meters be considered a Capital ship.70.69.245.78 20:15, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I suppose it depends on who made the ship. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 22:55, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- I think the old EGVV gave a rule of thumb that capital ships were in general anything 100m+. 90m isn't too far from that mark.75.93.59.214 12:42, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
