Continuity ErrorEdit

  • I contest the stated continuity error of Echo's helmet binoculars. The binoculars are not integral to the helmet, it's an attachment that doesn't have to be installed in the helmet all the time, he could very well carry it on one of his many pouches and put it on once they went outside the base. Can I remove that line? Gry Sarth 17:25, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Again Edit

Like I said about the whole Hevy saying "hell" thing, I dont get it.

Hand Print Edit

Was it really Echo who really got the hand print? From what I thought, it was Fives, which would be appropriate because of the hand having five fingers.--Darkforcerising 47 03:21, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

  • The action figure and show both say that it was Echo. VhettSkirata Mando'ade 02:56, January 3, 2010 (UTC)
    • Yes. Echo received the hand print on his armor. Fives is identified by the little "5" tattoo on his head. JangFett (Talk) 12:37, January 4, 2010 (UTC)

Echo lieutenant Edit

Is he lieutenant i mean look at his armor he looks like lieutenant maybe we should rename it to lieutenant 110px --Wcrolas990 07:23, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

  • If he is not directly confirmed to be a lieutenant, he isn't one. CC7567 (talk) 09:06, September 26, 2010 (UTC)
    • Explain why he isn't one i mean look at this blue color --Wcrolas990 07:23, September 26, 2010 (UTC)
      • Echo is not confirmed to be a lieutenant. You're only speculating that he is one, because you're judging by his new blue strips on his arms. JangFett (Talk) 15:44, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

Echo's DeathEdit

I don't understand how/where Echo's death was confirmed. The cannon with the commando droid was in shot behind Echo making him fly forward and when it shows his helmet falling of that makes a higher chance of him surviving. Please somewhere on this Talk Page or on Echo's Main Article tell me where it says he is for sure dead. --jzrazzledazzle 11:43, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

I think Echo survived because the shot from the Turret, when it shot down Anakin Skywalker and Even Piell It didn't blow it up just shot it down. So when the turret fired at the shuttle it would or maybe should have only done the same damage. Anyway the shuttle blew up but I think that it wouldn't blow Echo up but blow him towards the turret that was hit by a part of the shuttle. The turret then exploded which I think would of not kill but injure Echo badly. Obi Wan presumed but did not confirm that Echo was dead. I think this is a possible story to what happens to Echo. After this Echo probably went into hiding and lived on Lola Sayu. He may of high jacked a ship and went to a near planet but we do not know. He may still return in the clone wars.--KitFisto2 18:43, October 29, 2011 (UTC)

  • Do you have an official source that supports this theory? If not, it's speculation and belongs neither on talk pages nor in the article. 1358 (Talk) 18:46, October 29, 2011 (UTC)

Dave Filoni stated on a Google Hangout that it was possible that Echo lived but fans should be more focused on the new clone Commando Gregor. I don't have a exact quote but if some one can qoute him please do.--Arcinius (talk) 01:44, August 21, 2013 (UTC)

Filoni has now flat out stated that Echo lived. Concept art of his updated look is even viewable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxR5g_zxQKw

Main image Edit

I think it's time to visit the topic of updating the infobox image for Echo. The infobox is supposed to display the best quality, and when possible, the most recent IU depiction of the character.

Current imageEdit

  2. Nahdar Vebb (talk) 16:14, August 26, 2012 (UTC)

New optionEdit

  1. This is the most recent IU depiction of the character, and there is no datapad in front of his face detracting from the image. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 02:40, August 26, 2012 (UTC)

CommentsEdit

  • I know I do not own the article, but as the one that FA'd him, I prefer the current image, JMAS. JangFett (Talk) 02:42, August 26, 2012 (UTC)
    • That is fine. I disagree, however, and that is fine too. World would be pretty boring if we all agreed on everything little thing. So, I decided to let the community decide in this particular case. I'll put your vote for the current image. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 15:25, August 26, 2012 (UTC)
      • Please do not put my signature in a section without me knowing man. And if you recall Krell, you should've asked me on my talk page if I wanted a new infobox image, not beginning a vote because you feel the image needs to be replaced. JangFett (Talk) 15:28, August 26, 2012 (UTC)
        • My apologies for adding your signature. I overstepped there. Regarding asking on your talk page first, I did. Your response on my now archived talk page was to decline. This was the next step. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 23:49, August 26, 2012 (UTC)
          • 6th archive? JMAS, you might as well begin a new talk page section in my current talk page. I really don't buy any of this, considering Krell was somewhat more recent. JangFett (Talk) 23:54, August 26, 2012 (UTC)
            • Would you response have changed since then? Your first comment here confirms the answer is no. There is no point to arguing about it here further. The vote will decide what the community feels the best infobox image is. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:05, August 27, 2012 (UTC)
              • Most likely, considering I don't remember/study my talk page archives, JMAS. I feel that your desire to control images is most annoying. JangFett (Talk) 00:07, August 27, 2012 (UTC)
  • Voting is closed; consensus is to adopt new option. CC7567 (talk) 18:34, September 19, 2012 (UTC)

On the recent clone wars livestream someone asked if Echo was confirmed dead, they replied saying no. Should we remove the Died part in his infobox? Separatist (talk) 23:47, February 2, 2013 (UTC)

Wrong Hell quoteEdit

The word Hell was used in that episode after the eel attack; What the hell was that? Not sure who said it, but I don't remember the current one.74.83.86.133 16:11, December 21, 2013 (UTC)

Alive Edit

Filoni has confirmed that Echo is alive... http://starwarsblog.starwars.com/2014/03/10/to-fans-of-star-wars-the-clone-wars-thank-you/ Ressor (talk) 18:05, March 10, 2014 (UTC)

  • Filoni is not a source. Mind you, this is the same guy who said Han does not understand Chewie. Let's wait until a sourcebook, Chee, or someone further clarifies. JangFett (Talk) 18:31, March 10, 2014 (UTC)
    • We should at least note Filoni's statement in the behind the scenes section, since that's still info to be noted. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 18:57, March 10, 2014 (UTC)
      • I would like greater explanation as to how he survived. Filoni's "Oh btw he's alive, bye" is not enough to warrant a BTS note. JangFett (Talk) 18:58, March 10, 2014 (UTC)
        • To be fair, authorial/production comments are still worth a note in the Bts section regardless of whether they're fully canon or not. We've mentioned stuff of far less importance before. CC7567 (talk) 19:30, March 10, 2014 (UTC)
          • Right, but this might nullify his death. Updating isn't much of a problem, it's the lack of explanation. JangFett (Talk) 19:32, March 10, 2014 (UTC)
            • There's nothing we can do about that, unfortunately—as you know. All we can do is be as objective as possible while respecting all currently available information. CC7567 (talk) 19:34, March 10, 2014 (UTC)
              • If only Chee was useful and actually replied to concerns on facebook. This would be a good time to ask for his opinion. JangFett (Talk) 19:37, March 10, 2014 (UTC)
                • He's marginally more responsive on Twitter, which might be helpful. CC7567 (talk) 19:38, March 10, 2014 (UTC)
                  • Eh do you have a twitter account? If not, then I need to find Cav or Xd, since they have access to a twitter account. Some more explanation adding onto Filoni's statement will help a lot. JangFett (Talk) 19:40, March 10, 2014 (UTC)

Echo is alive, if you read http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/03/10/dave-filoni-thanks-star-wars-the-clone-wars-fans

http://starwarsblog.starwars.com/2014/03/10/to-fans-of-star-wars-the-clone-wars-thank-you/ states Echo is NOT dead. Should we update the information?

  • Unused concept art is not canonical. Likewise, Filoni saying he is alive isn't enough to confirm it. Supreme Emperor (talk) 22:46, March 10, 2014 (UTC)

Why, exactly, is the creator of the series not enough of a confirmation? - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 04:29, March 11, 2014 (UTC)

  • If George Lucas, the creator of the films, released info about lets say Jek Porkins being alive, you would take that as real. How is this any different?? Legoclones 22:56, March 11, 2014 (UTC)

Technically, George Lucas is the Creator of the show, he gets the credit lol....but yeah if he comes outand says something about the character showing uo again then we can say he is alive. Matt Seay (talk) 19:20, March 12, 2014 (UTC)

    • And Filoni has cratorial status on CLone Wars. SO his statements, barring any other from a higher source should be taken as authoraative.
  • Echo is alive! It was on Dave Filoni's webpage AND the new Clone Wars season 7 (which hasn't come out yet, by the way)!

64.131.61.2 20:55, March 20, 2015 (UTC)

We will need to update this now, saying Echo went Missing in Action after the explosion on Lola Sayu, Colby James (talk) 05:47, April 17, 2015 (UTC)

--StarWarsGuy2 (talk) 16:52, May 31, 2015 (UTC)It is offical he is alive!!!! It is on star wars.com http://www.starwars.com/video/the-bad-batch-star-wars-the-clone-wars-story-reel [1]
Hi. That story came out after April 25, 2014, which is the day that the new canon was officially announced. Because of that, it only applies to Echo's canon page: CT-1409. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 16:59, May 31, 2015 (UTC)

Filoni on Echo Edit

I feel until such a time when an author or someone like Leland Chee either confirms or denies that Echo is alive or not, then we should assume he is dead. It's the same thing that happened over at the Call of Duty Wiki over Reznov (Hints at his survival in Black Ops were made and there was a rush to change his status to "alive" or "unknown" even though there was little evidence to back that up). --Geekius Maximus (talk) 16:41, March 13, 2014 (UTC)

Diffrent commander Edit

"When the Confederacy invaded Kamino, Echo, who now served in the 501st Legion for several months, did not disobey Clone Commander Colt's dangerous assignment of guarding a bridge"

  • Actually that clone commander was Havoc. not Colt! --46.123.205.191 03:48, March 30, 2014 (UTC)

"Unfinished episodes of the Clone Wars are Canon" Edit

Lucasfilm has continually said this is so, and Wookieepedia has canon articles about things that never were finished, and "The Bad Batch" would have included Echo (alive obviously). This, in addition to Filoni's comment, I believe means Echo is canonically alive. CloneMarshalCommanderCody (talk) 19:57, December 26, 2014 (UTC)

  • I'd assume any info about Echo being alive, then, would be info for Echo's canonical page, as opposed to his legends page. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 03:33, December 30, 2014 (UTC)
    • I think Filoni also said such a thing before the announcement of the new canon. - AV-6R7User talk:AV-6R7 03:51, December 30, 2014 (UTC)
      • Well if you read the note in Echo's infobox, it is mentioned how, without an actual source stating it, Filoni's word can't be taken for canon. And as for the unfinished canon articles, did they just become canonized in other stuff? Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 05:22, December 30, 2014 (UTC)

They need to update his "died" thing, because he never died! (Watch the Bad Batch story reel on starwars.com)--zphil123

  • Hi. That story came out after April 25, 2014, which is the day that the new canon was officially announced. Because of that, it only applies to Echo's canon page: CT-1409. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 21:40, May 31, 2015 (UTC)
    • So what exactly is the purpose of this page? Echo literally only appeared on Clone Wars, which is canon. There is no such thing as 'Legends' Echo (there are many cases of this strange page splitting here btw).93.228.100.230 20:34, July 2, 2015 (UTC)
      • As you can see in the Appearance section of this page, Echo makes an appearance in three Legends sources, hence why there's a Legends page. For the purposes of Wookieepedia, we also include The Clone Wars in Legends because of how engrained the show is in many Legends works. You can read more about that here. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 22:01, July 2, 2015 (UTC)

Echo Survived Edit

This article needs revising, as echo did in fact survive the attacks on the citadel, he appears again in the "the Bad Batch", "A Distant Echo", "ON The Wings of Keeradaks", and "Unfinished Buissness" canon story reels. 108.90.185.29 23:32, July 17, 2015 (UTC)

  • As the top-of-the-page banner and the Canon/Legend tabs at the top of the page indicate, this is the Legends character, and thus the TCW Legacy reels have no bearing on this character. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 23:38, July 17, 2015 (UTC)
    • But shouldn't the fact that he survived carry over as saying otherwise would be just like claiming luke died on ds1, which is an untrue statement. Leaving him listed as dead at the citadel will confuse people if new legends content with ct-21-0408 comes out. The statement that claims he is dead should be removed.Multiman2 (talk) 23:54, July 17, 2015 (UTC)
      • Aside from source material released after the April 25, 2014 announcement whose canon status is unclear, Legends articles are for Legends material, and canon articles are for canon material. We make that distinction both for readability purposes and to properly document canon material as Lucasfilm releases it. CC7567 (talk) 21:06, July 18, 2015 (UTC)
  • I just reread an interview, which dates from before the Legends/Canon split, and confirms that Echo is alive, though there is no further information on what happens to him after.--ID-21 Dolphin DolphinJedi(Talk) 19:05, May 25, 2017 (UTC)

Hi, what about Echo's involvement in the events of the Bad Batch story arc? Is someone doing that part?
