References[]
This is missing any references at all to his first appearance in the Season 1 finale "Hostage Crisis"—Unsigned comment by 203.173.15.242 (talk • contribs).
Link[]
There is a link to this article in Featured articles list overhead, but it is obviously not FA. We need someone to change that link to Cad Bane/Legends. 17:44, February 9, 2017 (UTC)—Unsigned comment by Aruteous (talk • contribs).
Is Cad Bane's death canon?[]
At celebration a clip from an unfinished episode of Clone Wars was shown which showed Boba Fett and Cad Bane dueling. Bane is killed in the duel, but since this episode was left unfinished, unlike bad batch, is it canon?—Unsigned comment by JohnnyCreampuff (talk • contribs).
- The clip was pretty ambiguous about Bane's fate, and Filoni never actually said if he died or not. So even if the clip is canon, we don't know if Bane died. - Cwedin(talk) 02:16, April 18, 2017 (UTC)
- Maybe we should at least put a speculation on Behind the Scenes, or in "Later Life", Bane was seen fighting fellow Bounty Hunter Boba Fett. The two got into a duel, where they each shot each other. Boba lived, but it was unconfirmed Bane survived or not. --Metalworker14 (talk) 00:32, April 19, 2017 (UTC)
- This clip was a look behind the scenes, not an official story release, so the only place it would be appropriate to talk about would be in the Behind the Scenes section. But even then, we shouldn't mention a death because, as Cwedin said, we don't know if he died in that clip or not. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 01:40, April 19, 2017 (UTC)

Potential conflicting information about Cad Bane's canonical age[]
Bane's DOB was originally listed as 73 BBY (the source for which was listed as Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know). However, Scum and Villainy - Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious features a wanted poster (dated 7956 CRC) which estimates Bane's age at "41 STANDARD YEARS (ESTIMATE)," which would place his DOB roughly ~7915 CRC (or ~62 BBY), assuming the poster was catalogued the same year it was created.
Does the new source material written by Pablo Hidalgo supercede the canonicity of the date established by Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know, and if so, would it be appropriate to indicate that 62 BBY is an estimated DOB rather than an established fact in-universe?

Bane as Sith minion[]
Why is he not in the Sith minions category? He does Palpatine/Darth Sidious's bidding by stealing a holocron, unlocking it by torturing Jedi Master Bolla Roppal and later kidnaps Force-sensitive children for him. Not only does he do the Dark Lord of the Sith's dirty work but also that of the Sith apprentice, as he later helps Moralo Eval escape so he can plot to "assasinate" Chancellor Palpatine with Dooku/Darth Tyranus and is part of their team of bounty hunters. He serves the highest bidder and for several times the Sith have used his services as a mercenary. --Alex of Star Wars (talk) 19:50, August 26, 2019 (UTC)
