Bane's height? Edit

Anyone find a source w/ his height? I'm sure we could at least get a shot of him w/ another character to get an estimate. ARC Commander Zek 23:52, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

  • An estimate is not a source. For data to be put in an article it must be explicitly stated. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 00:01, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
    • From what I read about his kind on, one of the common heights is 1.7 meters (Which I think 5'7" I believe){CaneBanesLover 21:52, November 3, 2009 (UTC)}
      • Once again, I'm going to ask you to read {{Talkheader}}. Talk pages are not the place for speculation. CC7567 (talk) 23:34, November 3, 2009 (UTC)

I have a question: is he a cyborg? Maybe we should add this breathing tubes to his infobox? ShaakTi1138 11:57, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

  • I guess so; added. —CC7567 20px-Rex.png talk 20:57, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
  • Check out the Children of the Force episode!! When he is disguised as a clone trooper in the beginning on the ship, Anakin jumps on the starfighter he's trying to escape in. Anakin knocks off his helmet, and there are NO TUBES!! Also, the more common spelling is "Embedded." Fluberbuton 14:00, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
    • There are tubes. You probably just can't see them. Please watch the episode more carefully. CC7567 (talk) 18:35, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
      • I have watched the scene in slow motion several times. There are distinct dents or spaces where the tubes normally are. Look at 1:49Fluberbuton 21:22, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
        • Actually, nevermind; I see them missing now. CC7567 (talk) 21:34, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

            • If you watch the whole scene in slow motion, his tubes are missing the entire time, so this obviously isnt an animation error. It must mean his tubes and armor are removable. Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).
              • The article has already been updated accordingly. Please don't waste your time reiterating the issue. CC7567 (talk) 02:08, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
                • Someone has restored the article to a previous version. These changes are gone. Fluberbuton 04:01, December 26, 2009 (UTC)
  • Taken word-for-word from the Equipment section: "He had removable[28] cybernetic breathing tubes that were embedded in his cheekbones;[3] they were directly connected to his windpipe,[30] allowing him to work freely in the harshest atmospheres without requiring additional protection.[3]" CC7567 (talk) 19:18, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

In current episodes of Clone Wars he's entirely without any of his equipment, including the tubes. So he obviously doesn't need them. --Jaguartalon 04:42, May 3, 2012 (UTC)

Eyes Edit

Why do his eyes glow? Do all of the eyes of his species do that, or is there some more cybernetics that we don't know about? Unsigned comment by Fluberbuton (talk • contribs).

they do seem to glow more then the duros in a new hope. just because this is cgi and that wasnt you think? Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).

probably. i am going to remind you to sign your post with 4 tidles, and take note of the talkheader policy at the top of this page Ralphjedimaster 00:30, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

Cad Bane's P-38 Starfighter Edit

Recently I came accross a Hasbro Titanium Series die-cast model of a P-38 satfighter called the Xanadu Blood. The back of the packaging claimed that it was given to Bane as partial payment for his services to the Separatists (presumably in Season II). The model has a red, black, and gold paint scheme on top of the standard P-38 scheme. Since the only sorce I can find is from Hasbro, should it be added yet, or should we wait for a confirmed appearence in season II? I would post an image of the ship, but I am quite new and inexperienced, so i will provide link to Entertainment Earth's Titanium Series wave 9 image: the Xanadu Blood is in the lower left corner of the image. Sorry for the trouble!

--Rouge 2 01:57, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

  • There's no particular reason to wait till it appears in the series, but the ship itself needs to be verified with proper sourcing (that doesn't include forums). Would it be possible to upload the back of the packaging somewhere so that others can check? (Not necessarily here, but perhaps on an image hoster or somewhere.) CC7567 (talk) 02:20, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

I would, but I didn't have a thing to copy the packaging back onto at the time I saw it, sorry! I will try to find it on the internetsomewhere though. I know it isn't on as of this posting, and the Entertainment Earth page lacks cardback info. Once Rebelscum puts it in the photo archive I can get somthing, but that might be a while. I tried to get the high points into my last post. I will work on it! -- 03:00, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

That last comment was mine, apparently I forgot to hit the signature button. Sorry again. --Rouge 2 04:07, 21 June 2009 (UTC

Sith minion?Edit

Hey guys, i was surfing Wookieepedia tonight and I saw Cad Bane's name in the Sith minion category. Seriously, how is Cad Bane a Sith minion? Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).

  • He's not. I've removed that category. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 06:52, September 7, 2009 (UTC)

New quoteEdit

"I either give or you take. And we tend to take."
―Cad Bane[src]

From the new trailer for Season 2, I think that would be a better main quote then whats already up there. DjMack 18:32, September 23, 2009 (UTC)

  • It's not confirmed to actually be IU, and I highly doubt it is. I see no reason to change the current quote. CC7567 (talk) 23:37, September 23, 2009 (UTC)
  • At this point, I personally think that the top quote should be changed to this one:
"Sure, sure. As long as I get paid, it makes no difference to me."
―Cad Bane, to Darth Sidious — Quote-audio Listen (file info)[src]

It better defines his overall character role as a bounty hunter. The current one just references his role during a single episode and on one of his many infamous missions. I don't think it gives a proper outlook on his entire character too well.--Mateo22 Seperatist leadershipContact 00:04, April 15, 2010 (UTC)

  • The current lead quote gives a better impression of his imposing personality and does perfectly fine, and plus, it's more notable. CC7567 (talk) 01:46, April 15, 2010 (UTC)

Bounty hunter status Edit

Can it really be said that he is the best and deadliest bounty hunter? Alright, he is up there on the list with Jango, Boba etc., but that statement is really just an opinion. Besides, I'm sure either of the former two could compete with him with little trouble. They are about even IMO. --Mateo22 20:26, September 28, 2009 (UTC)

perhaps it should say the best and deadliest bounty hunter of his time? And, im wondering: is he even a bounty hunter? we haven't seen him capture anybody- to me hes more of a hired terrorist. Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).

"The greatest hunter since Jango lost his head is now taking interviews! It's an honor, sir, to be considered for your posse."
  • Oh yeah, forgot about that line. The image caption has been tweaked. CC7567 (talk) 04:07, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
  • Very well, greatest of his time works. And his official title is bounty hunter, but I don't think it would be too unorthodox to say in the article that he could somewhat be called a terrorist, since he got paid to do things other than just killing targets. --Mateo22 23:50, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
    • Whatever other names you try to slap on him, he's still working for the highest bidder. That does not mean that he is purposefully a terrorist. CC7567 (talk) 23:56, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
      • I agree. To call him a terrorist is way off base. Anyway, "killing targets" is not what a bounty hunter does. A bounty hunter is, traditionally, hired to find and obtain people or objects (ex. Ziro the Hutt, the Jedi holocron). Discussion and speculation aside, he's a bounty hunter (ie. "Rise of the Bounty Hunters).--Demos Traxen 05:03, October 4, 2009 (UTC)

I know that the Databank says that he was hired by the Hutts to break Ziro out, but are we sure that isn't a mistake? Altogether, it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense: Jabba is perhaps the most powerful Hutt in the galaxy, and Ziro conspired to kidnap his son and take over the clan. You think he's going to let the clan break the same guy out of prison? Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).

  • Until another source changes that, that's what we have to go off of. Furthermore, it wasn't specifically clarified that it was Jabba that hired Bane; it only said "Hutts", which could very well mean Ziro's allies—if he has any. The current wording in the article is purposefully unspecific to avoid speculation. CC7567 (talk) 22:50, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Quote Edit

I recently got Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes for my Wii, and there's a pretty good quote Bane says twice at the end of the game. "No one messes with Cad Bane." Perhaps you could consider updating his main quote with this instead of, "I'm in control. I make the rules now." 18:39, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

  • Both are self-centered and bold. The current one is more specific. CC7567 (talk) 20:33, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

Fourth InfantEdit

I know he kidnapped Zinn Toa and Wee Dunn and failed to capture Roo Roo Page, but he was ordered to kidnap four but I don't recall if he said the name, species, or planet of the fourth. Did he, and if so who, what and where? Cad Bane Owns 19:32, October 10, 2009 (UTC) User: Cad Bane Owns 3:33 Oct 10 2009

Cad Bane's armor? Edit

My brother brought home something he got from a lunchable (or something along those lines) that said that Cad Bane's armor is specially made to counteract the force. Is there any claim to this anywhere else? --DSandrius 03:07, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

  • Not anything official at the moment, no. CC7567 (talk) 03:12, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
  • im sure i read it also, maby in the databank? Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).
  • What if said thing were scanned and uploaded to this converstion? --DSandrius 08:07, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
    • That depends what said thing is. CC7567 (talk) 08:27, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
    • It's the thing that my brother brought home that talks about Cad Bane's armor. I was just wondering if I'd be allowed to post it up in here. --DSandrius 08:44, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
      • Actually, that information is in the navbox for Cargo of Doom dataclip on the Cartoon Netwok website. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 14:14, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
        • I'll add it in, then. CC7567 (talk) 18:35, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
          • Another source for that is Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 1 DVD. There's a feature next to the episodes that on the final disk, at the last episode, a person did say that his armor as for combating Force users. Like the tubes, thy're for prevention of getting Force Choked. --Uasp Erbomee

The clone wars giude says that to. Sorry this clone wars card says it.-- 13:29, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

Highest bidder, I think for a bounty hunter that is self explanatory. I think we can leave it at Cad Bane's Posse but that's just me. What do you think? T-888

  • As a bounty hunter, his affiliation can change every day. Highest bidder is the easiest way of saying this, if you ask me. --DSandrius 01:24, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
    • I am sorry but I think it sounds too corny but that might just be me. By the way he has worked for Ziro the Hutt hasn't he? T-888
      • Some advice: don't whine about stuff sounding corny here, as it won't get you anywhere. Second piece of advice: read the article yourself to answer your own question. CC7567 (talk) 01:31, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
        • Well I'm sorry, I do watch the Clone Wars and think that everything should be accounted for, well I guess what we have is okay. —T-888[Comlink] 01:30, October 15, 2009
          • No reason to get defensive. We all love Star Wars just as much as the next fellow/gal. Let's just keep this thread free of negativity (if I'm making any sense) --DSandrius 06:22, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
      • I think that we should add Confederacy and Hutts, personally. In the episode they specifically say that he is working with the Separatists and I can guess that will continue. Hntr.peters 23:16, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
        • Quite plainly, that is a connection that was never elaborated on. Discussions have already been held here for why the affiliations remain the way they are now. CC7567 (talk) 23:48, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

How he Became a Bounty Hunter Edit

Does anyone ever wonder how he chose his path to be bounty hunter? I think he should have a back story or something. Like maybe he became one due to a traumatic thing in past that convinced him it was the best thing to do, family business, or something. {CaneBanesLover 21:21, November 3, 2009 (UTC)}

  • Sure thing. All you need to do is write up a story, submit it to LucasBooks for approval by Lucas Licensing, then have it be published. Let us know when you get all that done. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 17:10, November 3, 2009 (UTC)
    • And once you've done that, please read and mind the {{Talkheader}} tag at the top of this page. CC7567 (talk) 19:49, November 3, 2009 (UTC)
      • I'm sorry if the idea was lame. :( I just have a bit of a curious nature and even if I wanted to write a back story, I don't think I would be good at it...{CaneBanesLover 21:21, November 3, 2009 (UTC)}
        • I would seriously read {{Talkheader}} again and then take your discussions to an actual forum, since Wookieepedia is not one. CC7567 (talk) 21:45, November 3, 2009 (UTC)

Placement of republic heroesEdit

The Databank entry for Bane says that Sidious began relying on him after he proved his worth during the hostage crisis, and at the time he was a new threat to Sidious. DjMack 19:43, February 1, 2010 (UTC)

  • That doesn't affect Republic Heroes in any way. The DB entry still gives no indication as to what the placement of events is. CC7567 (talk) 19:54, February 1, 2010 (UTC)
    • It doesn't give the exact placement of the game, but from what I've read in this article, Sidious was Bane's employer in the game, which would mean that it could take place any time after the hostage crisis, and we have the events of the game as taking place before the hostage crisis in the article. DjMack 22:40, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
      • "Bane also plays an supporting role in the forthcoming video game, Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes (2009, LucasArts)." In no way does that even come close to identifying his employer, if he even had one. Also, it has never been directly clarified as to who his employer for rescuing Ziro was—only the Hutts, if any, so using "Hostage Crisis" as a point of reference is basically useless. CC7567 (talk) 00:26, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

The article about the game says it takes place between seasons 1 and 2, therefore, the section on the events of the game should be placed in between the Hostage crisis and Sidious hiring Bane to steal the Holocron. I tried doing it myself, but it prevented me from doing so, so someone else please do it for me. And what does Bane's employer for rescuing Ziro have to do with ANYTHING!--DinoTyrannus 19:58, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

  • Just because you don't care for something doesn't mean that it isn't important. Regardless, the sections have been moved to conform to the screwy timeline. CC7567 (talk) 22:39, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

Wrong Place!Edit

The Theft from Kul Teska section is supposed to before the Senate hostage crisis! If I remember right, The Battle of Belphour begun before Bane's attack on the Senate! Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).

  • See the above discussion. CC7567 (talk) 17:21, March 8, 2010 (UTC)

Stupid pictureEdit

First Ahsoka, now Bane! Guys, can you please stop putting these pictures on these articles? Bane looks like a old man! Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).

  • Here, on Wookieepedia, we prefer to use more realistic images. ShaakTi1138 08:07, July 27, 2010 (UTC)

I can't see how the current image is more realistic/superior in ANY way. It looks like a freaking painting. The main image should be a profile shot from within the show (not only would that look much better, but you can't make it more realistic than in-universe material; this is promotional artist crap). It used to be that, but I don't know why it was changed to this poor excuse for a profile shot. --Mateo22 Seperatist leadershipContact 03:13, January 16, 2011 (UTC)

  • If the current image looks like a painting, it's because it has more detail (and because it is a painting)—probably more detail than the animated series will ever be able to reach, because it's animated and is bound to the restrictions of computer animation. Yes, it's a promotional image, but I don't see why that should detract from the clear quality of the image. Yes, he's squinting more in this image, but that's the sacrifice that was made for using this image. CC7567 (talk) 06:18, January 16, 2011 (UTC)

Jedi Alliance Edit

In the game Jedi Alliance there is concept art for Cad Bane. Should this be mentioned since the game came out after the movie? Tetsu Aero 14:50, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

  • That depends on where it is. Is it in the databank or something? It's been a while since I looked at it, but I haven't come across it as of yet. CC7567 (talk) 04:17, July 27, 2010 (UTC)

on here it says that cad's wrist gauntlets are equipped with flamethrowers, but WHERE has he been seen using them? i have never seen him use a flamethrower, and i don't see no flamethrower on his gauntlets. please give me a source to where he has used them and where they are on his gauntlets. i really want to know. unregistered contributor, 9:30, agust 16th, 2010.

timeline mix-upEdit

republic heroes is supposed to be between season 1 and 2, but it says republic heroes happened before the raid on the senate! the raid on the senate was from season 1, so it is obvious that republic heroes events happened AFTER the raid on the senate. i need to know if it is alright if i can update it to it's real chronollogy. Ralphjedimaster 17:06, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

  • actually, i wouldn't know how to move it so can someone please change it to it's correct chronollogy? Ralphjedimaster 17:09, August 21, 2010 (UTC)
    • Supposed to take place between the seasons? According to which source? -- 1358 (Talk) 17:10, August 21, 2010 (UTC)
      • No official source has confirmed that the game is supposed to be the two seasons, and it would be senseless to break up the Battle of Ryloth chronology or override the episode order when it isn't confirmed as of yet. CC7567 (talk) 20:13, August 21, 2010 (UTC)
        • oh yeah? well, just look at the article for republic heroes, and it says it happened between the two seasons, so it apparently is confirmed.Ralphjedimaster 18:30, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
          • Wookieepedia is not an official source, and that information on the Republic Heroes page needs to be referenced too. An official source needs to be provided for a claim like yours; otherwise, it is nothing more than unverified info. CC7567 (talk) 18:57, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
  • then in that case someone has apparently assumed it happened between the seasons and changed the article according to what they thought. just a suggestion.Ralphjedimaster 15:25, August 26, 2010 (UTC)
  • no, not anymore. it had to have happened after, even my sister colliequest says so! for one thing, if republic heroes happened first, how did anakin know cad bane in republic heroes? he first met him in hostage crisis, so that was obviously before republic heroes. it makes perfect sense! Ralphjedimaster 01:55, September 4, 2010 (UTC)
    • We do not know how they met—it is perfectly possible that they were introduced to each other outside of any source released so far. The lack of clarification with the time line still remains. CC7567 (talk) 02:32, September 4, 2010 (UTC)
  • well, until then, i still am very sure it happens after hostage crisis. Ralphjedimaster 17:18, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

ok, due to the secrets revealed section of the episode guide for evil plans on, i am inclined to aggree the theft from kul teska was before the hostagecrisis but after the holocron heist. Ralphjedimaster 17:25, November 6, 2010 (UTC)

New quote Edit

Could we change the quote at the top of the page to one of these seen in the Clone Wars season 3 trailer?

  • "I'm your worst nightmare!"
  • "I'll take on any job--for the right price."

I think they seem to describe him better than the current quote.--Shadow34 00:00, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

  • As I've already said before, the current quote exemplifies his audacity, and neither of the proposed quotes do as good a job as the current one does. CC7567 (talk) 06:00, October 6, 2010 (UTC)
"Cad Bane, at your service. I'll take on any job... for the right price."
―Cad Bane[src]

That would be the full proper version of his best Season 3 quote. Since it's his most recent self-describing saying and is more along the lines of his overall/general character, in addition to showing off his audacity quite well, I think this quote is indeed superior to the current one. The top quote of a character's page should tell readers important things they need to know about the character and describe it in as much depth as possible. His one from Season 1 is not only from just one of his many infamous escapades, but his character isn't solely about showing audaciousness to others he encounters in the galaxy; he's also for serving the highest bidder and getting the job done no matter the amorality at stake. Can we please change it already? --Mateo22 Seperatist leadershipContact 03:23, January 16, 2011 (UTC)

  • I'm sorry to keep beating a dead horse here, and while I do agree that this new quote exemplifies more of his bounty hunting character, it still fails to get at his (audacious) ability to control situations. The fact that one of his greatest skills was "the ability to gather, organize, and make use of data necessary to controlling situations" is the whole point to his character—otherwise, he's no different from all of the galaxy's other bounty hunters. Most if not all of the bounty hunters out there are committed to money, and the only thing that makes Bane different from them is therefore his ability of being in control; he would not be able to complete his jobs otherwise, and that can be seen in every one of his appearances so far. I really do appreciate your desire to improve the article (I wouldn't be replying here otherwise), but I feel that in this case, the article is fine as it is. CC7567 (talk) 06:18, January 16, 2011 (UTC)

bounty on Cad BaneEdit

Hello! New here(just registered actually, I've been lurking for a long time), but I noticed in the 'Raid on the Senate' section of the article that the bounty put out on Bane by the Republic is listed as 5,000 credits...I thought it was 500,000 credits(I'm basing this off that wanted poster that CN released which may or may not be a canonical source). Anyway, if it is a typo, being a new user, I am unable to edit it. If it's not, then disregard this message. Thanks for your time. --Lkexpress 19:22, October 21, 2010 (UTC)

Chronological order Edit

Okay, on, in the episode guide, it says that "Hostage Crisis" takes place after "Holocron Heist". So should the article be edited to match the timeline?--Shadow34 14:10, November 6, 2010 (UTC)

projectile thingies Edit

ok, when obi-wan knocks banes pistol out of his hand with one of bane's own shots, he fires 2 small projectile thingies at obi-wan. should it be mentioned in the equipment section that he had a small projectile launcher in each gauntlet? Ralphjedimaster 00:25, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

dual flamethrowers?Edit

i just rewatched the episode hunt for ziro, and i noticed when bane used his flamethrower against vos, he first fired fire out of his left gauntlet, and then some out of his right. should it be mentioned that he had dual flamethrowers? Ralphjedimaster 01:33, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

  • Added to the article. CC7567 (talk) 06:13, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

messed up sections Edit

ok, i was trying to add something to the skills and abilities section, and somehow, it got merged with the equipment section and the equipment section picture got removed, my bad. could someone fix this, as i have no time at the moment? Ralphjedimaster 20:39, November 21, 2010 (UTC)

  • Please do not make additions to featured articles without consulting the nominator, who in this case is CC7567. 1358 (Talk) 20:54, November 21, 2010 (UTC)

spoiler warnings Edit

shouldn't the spoiler warnings for Evil Plans and Hunt for Ziro be removed? Ralphjedimaster 22:51, December 7, 2010 (UTC)

Main picture Edit

Shouldn't the main picture on the Cad Bane page be a picture from the animated series rather than a painting of him?--Wheresthebounty 10:16, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Non-Canon Bts Edit

A sub-article titled What if Padmé Duelled Cad Bane? is printed with a Clone Wars Infinities logo in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Comic UK 6.15. I agree that it barely warrants an article, but the results of the non-canon duel likely warrant a mention in the Bts, no? Most FAs acknowledge Infinities appearances and sources. SinisterSamurai 03:02, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

  • Good point. It's been added to the article. CC7567 (talk) 06:23, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Image for Endless career-section Edit

Should the image of this section be replaced with something that actually has something do to with Bane's reputation, like, say, this poster, or anything? Maybe just me, but I fail to see how does him throwing a thermal detonator has anything to do with a "reputation". Kreivi Wolter 12:53, February 23, 2011 (UTC)

  • I was mainly going for a good image that wasn't already in the article and that looked proper. I'm rather hesitant about including an image like the poster in the article, as its in-universe relevance and place are really rather shady. If you have another image to suggest, you're welcome to. CC7567 (talk) 08:18, February 26, 2011 (UTC)

Bane's past Edit

shouldn't it tell you more about his past life? 1220 B0BA FETT 23:27, March 14, 2011 (UTC)

please respond to my post.  ; )

  • No source has presented even a hint as to his life prior to The Clone Wars, which is why it isn't in the article. CC7567 (talk) 02:13, March 19, 2011 (UTC)
  • ok but still i think it would have been cool for George Lucas to have made up a past for him. 1220 B0BA FETT 17:27, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

Raid on the Senate Edit

The last section of this caption states that a bounty was placed on his head after the Hostage Crisis. However, the bonus page for Cad Bane: Jedi Hunter shows that Bane was already wanted before that time. Should this be revised in the article? Something like, the bounty on his head was reinstalled following the Hostage Crisis? Kreivi Wolter 11:33, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

  • I just went ahead and merged it with the earlier mention of the bounty earlier in the bio. CC7567 (talk) 20:55, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

Survival Edit

In the "endless career" section, it says his fighter was destroyed. How did he survive this happening? It never says he left the fighter, and yet, it doesn't say he died. If its know, it should be explained, if not, it should clearly say its unknown. Thanks, 05:44, May 28, 2011 (UTC)

  • Wookieepedia does not state the "unknown"—the site is centered around an in-universe perspective, and stating that something is "unknown" makes it OOU. Please become more familiar with Wookieepedia's policies before continuing to contribute. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 08:12, May 28, 2011 (UTC)
    • Then place it in the inconsistencies/behind the scenes section. 18:21, May 28, 2011 (UTC)
      • "Fell prey" does not specifically mean that his fighter was destroyed by the mynocks—it only means his fighter was attacked by mynocks, that's all. The article doesn't require a change because there are no inconsistencies. CC7567 (talk) 19:35, May 28, 2011 (UTC)

Source? Edit

What is the source for him being in Season 4? Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).

Link to Edit

It's currently #62 in the Notes and references. That source counts as canon? 14:40, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

Did Bane survive The Clone Wars? Edit

Quote form the acrticle: "Bane maintained his reputation as a veteran hunter throughout the Clone Wars, even until the war ended in 19 BBY. Following the newly christened Emperor Palpatine's establishment of the Galactic Empire, Bane became one of the Empire's select freelancers, playing a part in many Imperial dirty dealings."

Is this confirmed by a cannon source? If so, they can't kill Bane in the series! (I need to know this because i fear Bane is going to die next season!) Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).

But how do we know if this is true? Perhaps they'll let him die in the series. And if he doesn't die perhaps he will return in the upcoming star wars series. Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).

Contradiction in Bane's mission 'style'. Edit

'Bane was smooth and thorough in his jobs and did not leave a mess behind unless he was paid to do so;[26] as such, he derided Sy Snootles's assassination of Ziro as sloppy.'

'A dispassionate realist[79] and an arrogant killer,[10] the callous Bane[40] was happy to cause collateral damage as part of his work.[10] He did not take prisoners,[11] preferring to instead obliterate everything and everyone in his path to his intended victims, regardless of the trail of carnage he left.'

Might it be prudent to make up our minds, here?

--TheRailwayMan 17:36, December 30, 2011 (UTC)

  • Have to go what with sources say here. I do admit, though, that they tend to play up his personality for dramatic effect, potentially to the point of exaggeration. CC7567 (talk) 19:31, December 30, 2011 (UTC)

Cad Bane and Boba Fett Edit

So, regarding the article move, I know a forum leaking stuff on Season 5 of the Clone Wars mentioned Boba Fett being an alias of Cad Bane. However, what about the Boba Fett from Attack of the Clones, not to mention the one during the Galactic Civil War and onward? There were constant references to him being a Mandalorian, not to mention a clone of Jango Fett, so where does that go? Weedle McHairybug 02:25, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

  • Dude, its an april fools joke-- 04:08, April 1, 2012 (UTC) Non user

But Boba and Cad were never the same perso. And superman isnt the force.-- 04:20, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

Ok, i really want to know the references backing that cade bane and boba fett are the same person? cause as far as the films have shown, boba fett is the clone/son of jengo fett if this is purely fanon content of people trying to say they are one and the same then that should be tagged as such, or if someone is screwing with the pages they need to be blocked(again) at this point tho the cade bane page should be tagged with whatever little warnings things that admins put up saying that the quality of this page is in dispute or something--CecilQel-Droma 07:44, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

Boba. fett. is. not. cad. bane. what the heck is going on here?

seriously, just because Bane might've used the name, there is no reason to assume this. unless this is an april fool's joke, in which case, you got me. Swordsquirrel 08:26, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

Should wikis seriously succumb to the absolute idiocy of April Fools Day jokes? Really? People use these as a floating reference and to do something like this is highly inappropriate. 05:51, April 2, 2012 (UTC)

Boba Fett Edit

Did Bane really operate under the alias Boba Fett? Or is it an April Fools Day joke? --User:Darkjedi55 (Comlink) 08:37, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

  • i'm gonna give up and wait for tomorrow. anything that's still here tomorrow is not a joke. today, who knows? Swordsquirrel 08:39, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
    • For the record, this is a joke, so just humor them until tommorow. 501st DogmaRepublic emblem(Comlink) 12:51, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
      • It is not an April Fool's joke. This is actually real. JangFett (Talk) 14:56, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
        • We will see tommorow.... 501st DogmaRepublic emblem(Comlink) 15:05, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
          • This is not true, do not believe anything about it! Tomorrow, they will be apologizing for making this stuff! Or if not, I'm outta here... :(--XXLVenom998 16:05, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

Obviously it really was a joke. I don't like how Wookieepedia messes up their own wiki for April Fools Day. People don't go on Wookieepedia to be fooled by jokes, they come here for Star Wars canon. --User:Darkjedi55 (Comlink) 06:33, April 2, 2012 (UTC)

Canon, not Legends Edit

Why is this page under the Legends banner? Cad Bane's from the canonical Clone Wars cartoon 23:02, May 22, 2014 (UTC)

  • Every canon topic needs a canon article made. Matt Seay (talk) 23:07, May 22, 2014 (UTC)
    • To make a long story short, every article containing non-canonical information will get slapped with a Legends banner. As an example, the Cad Bane article contains information that is no longer considered to be canon, so therefore the article is now a Legends article. Rest assured, CC7567 will create Cad's canon page soon. JangFett (Talk) 23:18, May 22, 2014 (UTC)

This topic has a lot of people confused. It will be nice when we have all the "canon Articles" made. Matt Seay (talk) 23:21, May 22, 2014 (UTC)

Great jobEdit

Wow, this is a great article. Good job everyone! Gen. Grievous1138 (talk) 11:57, June 3, 2014 (UTC)

Voice of Cad BaneEdit

Hey all. I understand this is Featured so I am inquiring here as to why we don't have Cad's voice actor listed in Behind the Scenes here. After some cross-referencing, I found it is Corey Burton, but it is absent from the article. I was considering adding it, but not before inquiring first. Was this simply overlooked? Also, since we still need to build up Cad Bane's Canon article, should that version be the focus of any additional edits? -- Riffsyphon1024 19:10, November 8, 2014 (UTC)

  • It's not missing from the article. It's in the first sentence of the fourth paragraph of the BTS. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 19:12, November 8, 2014 (UTC)

Dind't he have a droid sidekick? Edit

I swear, in at least one episode he had a tiny droid as a side kick, but I don't see any mention of it. PyroGothNerd (talk) 23:14, January 18, 2016 (UTC)

Suggestion for Morality section Edit

It goes on and on about him putting his pay above most other things and his treatment of other beings, but it doesn't once mention the events of The Box where he saved Hardeen since he had saved the others during the trials, or the fact he seemed disgusted by Eval's attempt to take Hardeen out during the final trial, telling him "If you're gonna kill him, do it like a man."

It's in the history on the canon article, but in the morality section of the "Morality, or lack thereof" section it's not mentioned. I don't know about you, but that seems like some pretty important insight. It shows:

  1. He is not below rescuing someone who has frequently helped him out, despite previously abandoning Cato Parasitti, who had also helped him on a mission. The difference between the situations may be Hardeen saving his life, versus Parasitti simply helping him accomplish a mission.
  2. Change of attitude towards Hardeen, whom he previously had tried to abandon, and whom he previously looked down on.
  3. He is disgusted by Eval's cowardly, low-handed tactics.

I think it's a little skewed for the morality section to only discuss the areas where he is lacking, without even mentioning those events. --PyroGothNerd (talk) 02:56, January 19, 2016 (UTC)
