Article Name[]

This organisation is formally referred to in follower mails in-game as "Alliance Against Zakuul", just like the Rebel Alliance is formally known (and named so in the Wiki article) as the "Alliance to Restore the Republic".

The article should perhaps be renamed to reflect that. I know, it's a minor change, but I wanted to point it out anyway. --BTD (talk) 18:56, November 2, 2015 (UTC)

Rename to Eternal Alliance[]

For those who had played Chapter IX: Eternal Throne of the KOTET expansion, I think we should rename this article to "Eternal Alliance", given the player character's ending speech.--Unic of the borg (talk) 02:48, December 6, 2016 (UTC)

  • I have not yet played the expansion, and do not intend to until I am finished with exams, but from what it sounds like the "Eternal Alliance" took the place of the Alliance, similar to how the New Republic took the place of the Rebel Alliance. Darth Ravigious (talk) 07:13, December 6, 2016 (UTC)

Alliance and Eternal Alliance[]

Are they not two separate entities, one of which that reorganized into the other? It seems rather indicative that the Eternal Alliance is an official government that succeeded the Alliance founded in Fallen Empire, similar to how the Alliance to Restore the Republic ultimately restructured itself into the New Republic following the Galactic Civil War. Darth Ravigious (talk) 14:13, December 7, 2016 (UTC)

Terminus vs. Gage[]

In the "Military" section, it says the Terminus-Class Destroyer was used by the Alliance. I always get confused between this ship and the Gage-Class transport, for they're nearly identical. But didn't the Alliance use the Gage instead of the Terminus? If so, could someone change it? If not, don't. (Scott209 (talk) 03:53, April 17, 2017 (UTC))

Dissolution[]

The article claims that the destruction of the Eternal Fleet brought about the end of the Alliance. From the walkthroughs I saw to keep myself updated, this did not seem to be true. Could someone who has played the game to that point confirm one way or the other?

So, back in the Republic, then?[]

I admit to wondering who made the decision that the Alliance has gone completely Republic-centric since the faction war restarted... --Joshmaul (talk) 13:59, March 16, 2020 (UTC)

  • A concensus was established in November 2019, with the follow rule "we assume as canon that the player character is of Republic affiliation, makes choices that support the Republic" and "The Eternal Alliance joins the Republic at the end of the expansion 6.0 Onslaught's storyline.". Any other player choice (imperial and/or saboteur) is to be featured in the Behind-the-scenes section of the article. This is done to ensure continuity over wookieepedia in the absence of official canon, both towards SWTOR story and previous consensus established earlier for SWTOR content. --NanoLuukeCloning facility 14:11, March 16, 2020 (UTC)

If the Empire version of he events has to go in the "Behind the Scenes" section at the very least you could all give it more detail.[]

If the Empire version of he events has to go in the "Behind the Scenes" section at the very least you could all give it more detail, just like you give it to republic characters, this isn't fair at all for us Empire fans specially if we simply want to brush up on the story, plus when the game inevitably ends (because everything ends) the only record to will remain is this wiki, its not fair to have the Empire's version of the story just fade away while allowing the republic's to remain like if its canon (and let me remind you neither has been confirmed as canon in regards to Legends continuity) and assuming it is also a mistake, since whole argument of "the republic survives so the outlander must have sided with them" rings hollow when you realize that between this Era and the next major Jedi vs Sith conflict have a gap of around 1600 thousand years, literally anything could have happened that resulted in an eventual republic victory while still allowing the option of having the Outlander side with the Empire in the current Era, so yeah i'm disappointed since you all took easy path instead of trying to be unbiased which is what a wiki is meant to be about, just fact and no bias.Unsigned comment by 191.95.139.133 (talk • contribs).

  • Thanks for bringing this to attention. Yeah, the wiki's coverage of the Imperial/dark side paths in the game is lacking, but it's better to have at least some of the Republic/light side paths written down rather than nothing, so that's why the existing information should not be removed. What should be done moving forward is for alternative paths to be noted in the Behind the scenes sections of TOR articles. OOM 224 20:45, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
  • Let us know if you want help with expanding on the Imperial/dark side paths though. It would be great to have more editors improving this wiki's TOR coverage! OOM 224 20:48, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
