Whooooo!! CooperTFN 05:13, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Hodges has confirmed that it was a Firefly on the official site's message board. .(http://forums.starwars.com/thread.jspa?threadID=245373&start=015 ) You will need Hyperspace to access the thread. The Broox 06:09, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

  • He confirmed that it's meant to be a Firefly, but unfortunately, until the name itself is used in a canon source the article title is only speculation. CooperTFN 05:27, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
    • Shiny! Adamwankenobi 05:28, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
      • I would think the restricted access forum on the official site should hold some weight, at least as an official source. Maybe not as a canon one? VT-16 12:08, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
        • Nope. Certainly not because it's restricted. =p If Leland Chee were to name it a Firefly, that'd be another story. CooperTFN 22:15, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
  • So hey is the Firefly in the movie Revenge of the Sith or just in the comic? It would be so sweet to see Serenity flying through Coruscant's skyways. --144.92.215.78 18:37, 12 July 2006 (UTC)Kyp-Durrn

Isn't the infobox conjecture? We don't know what whether the ship is actually a freighter, or what kind of engine it has, from the strip. The crew and passenger values are also debatable. You could easily cram more than 10 people in Serenity, like when Mal wanted to evacuate the entire whorehouse in Heart of Gold. -LtNOWIS 21:18, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

  • I'd imagine the minimum comfort space for ten humans is the same in both universes, but you're right in the larger sense. Maybe we should just take the infobox out. CooperTFN 22:15, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
    • I agree. I think it's best to leave the official information down to jyst something along the lines of "Fireflies were a class of transport ships." Incidentally, anyone know where in Shindig the Starlight Intruder was? Kuralyov 22:23, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
      • It's in the background when the group is first walking into town at the beginning; right before they see the dress shop. You can't miss it. =) CooperTFN 22:27, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
        • Now I really regret lending out my Firefly DVDs. Kuralyov 00:41, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
      • Heck, is that an ATR from the X-Wing series right above it? Looking at the screenshot from the Starlight Intruder page, it sure looks like it. It certainly has a very similar rear profile, engine configuration, and fins. I can't tell if the top fin is there though.Basilisk 01:54, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
        • I doubt that. It looks like it has a central bubble-type cockpit and the ATR has a flat-fronted command deck. I don't think they'd make an effort to include a ship that would be mostly recognized by gamers. The Starlight Intruder is more recognizable from being in the comics. —Darth Culator (talk) 02:43, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

Imperial Shuttle[]

I heard something about an Imperial Shuttle being in Serenity (the episode). Has anybody else heard about this? -- Ozzel 04:09, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Yes, it is in a scene near the beginning on Persephone when Inara is docking her shuttle with Serenity. Adamwankenobi 23:32, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Categorization[]

It seems like there should be a category covering things like this, xenomorphs, Brodo Asogi and so on. Maybe "Imported canon", "Imports from other works" or "Crossover elements in Star Wars", but none of those seem to fit exactly. --Andrew Nagy 04:08, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
