Highness[edit source]

Is it accurate to say that the Emperor could be addressed as "your highness"? In the real world that style is for monarchs of much lower rank and the only time I recall Palpatine being called Highness is Luke's sarcasm in Ep. 6 and I wouldn't expect a farm boy like Luke to know proper monarchy styles, especially if he was being sarcastic. • That mistake is quite common in Star Wars though, but I think it's because of the writing—i.e. not an "in-universe" mistake. If you remember, several characters address Amidala as "Your Highness" too in Episode I, although it would be improper in real life. --LelalMekha (talk) 10:42, September 2, 2015 (UTC)
    • True. I almost forgot about that. Only Palpatine called Amidala by the proper style of "your majesty." GreenDragonRanger (talk) 02:12, September 8, 2015 (UTC)

Dissolved or not[edit source]

I was under the impression that the position of Galactic Emperor was effectively dissolved after the death of Gallius Rax. However, the article was recently updated stating that Amedda was still officially a proxy Emperor, despite being placed under house arrest. This information is sourced to Life Debt, although I don't recall reading this in the novel. But if that is indeed the case, then was Mas Amedda still technically the Emperor by the end of Empire's End, and is that position a ceremonial office now? Empire's End states that Amedda was reduced to being little more than a figurehead, but I don't recall any mention of him still being Emperor, or if that position still exists after the Empire's fall. Kylo Ren[edit source]

Wasn't Kylo Ren the Emperor of the Final Order for a brief time alongside Sidious? Fused Zamasu (talk) 17:16, December 22, 2019 (UTC)

  • (To my memory) Ren was to be offered the place, in the scenario of Ren bringing Rey to Sid.. This did not occur, however, as Sid. was preoccupied by first Rey, then Ren/Ben himself when he forced into Sid's citadel. - - -CIS roundel.svg OOM 224 ༼༽{talk}༼༽ 17:26, December 22, 2019 (UTC)

Naming[edit source]

From which source(s) is the title 'Galactic Emperor' from? Neither this nor the Darth Sidious article tells. The Legends page only references the Intergalactic Passport from 1980. - - -CIS roundel.svg OOM 224 ༼༽{talk}༼༽ 20:44, April 4, 2020 (UTC)
