Lair of Grievous Statues

It's been confirmed in the TCW behind the scenes feature on the season DVD that the statues in Lair of Grievous are of Grievous during his time as a Kaleesh warrior. Grievious' canon Midi-cholrian count being High

While I know it's an unpopular subject, I want to talk about Midicholrians. From the "Everything you need to know" guide it stated that Grievous' Midi-cholrian count is above 10,000. While in old C-Canon it was explained that he was given a transfusion from Sifo-Dyas, there is no current canon explanation as to why he has a canonically high midi count (higher than Bane's). This is especially odd as he's NOT force sensitive, which flies in the face of the explanation that a certain level of midi count is what's necessary to be force sensitive. I think it's possibly their way of slipping from under the thumb of midi-cholrians being the be all end, all power measure(much like how DBZ had power levels but soon enough that became a non-issue/the heroes became as strong as plot demanded). Grievous' health

Now we know that The Clone Wars animated series is non canon, is somewhere in the new canon an explanation about the cause of Grievous' coughing? We see him coughing (in the animated series, was caused by Mace Windu's attack but this attack is not longer important info) in Episode III. Dragon NJMB (talk) 06:51, January 16, 2016 (UTC)

The story of how Grievous became his cyborg self has yet to be told in canon, therefore, we should hold off on mentioning such things—unless It's mentioned as one of his traits. Nivlacanator^(talk) 07:08, January 16, 2016 (UTC)

Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know states that "GG chooses to upgrade his organic body with synthetic parts. But with his heart and lungs failing, he has serious breathing problems and a nasty cough". And that's the only canon source for now. Yeah, Lucas said in behind the scenes material that Grievous' cybernetics weren't advanced enough, but he never provided in-universe explanation. You can read about it more in Star Wars Insider 84. According to San Hill's card in the Star Wars: Card Trader game, "Hill conspires with Poggle the Lesser and Count Dooku to destroy their volatile ally General Grievous; they then rebuilt him as a super-cyborg of servitude. —Unsigned comment by Brules (talk • contribs).

Attack on Kamino

The article calls it their second attack, but watching the episodes seems to suggest that the incoming attack in "Rookies" and the one featured during season three is the same attack. Does anyone know what the timeline is like to fix it properly? Sanokal K-T (talk) 01:48, January 23, 2016 (UTC)

If you look closely in the Rebels trailer, you can see that Thrawn has Grevious' mask in his possession. Should that be mentioned? Darth Ravigious

Anatomy of arms

Has anybody noticed that in the Clone Wars TC series (the new one) in the second episode GG has only 4 fingers on each arm, but they still look separable into 4 arms (2 fingers per each hand in that configuration), while in RotS he obviously has 6 fingers on each of two arms (3 on each hand when separated)?

• I'd say it's worth adding to the personality and traits section (which this article currently lacks, but feel free to add it if you'd like—just be sure the information is cited properly). It's also worth pointing out that in the Crystal Crisis on Utapau arc of The Clone Wars, Grievous has a new character model more in-line with his appearance in Episode III, and has three fingers on each hand when separated. Grievious' canon Jedi kill count

Well I wasent able to find a actual Jedi kill count for canon General Grievous neither here or on Jedipedia or elsewhere. But the canon 2008 Clone Wars actually gives us enough information to create a canon kill count for Grievous. After my research I come to the following canon kill count for Grievous. While some numbers are indeed estimated (but only on canon sources) the number of a minimum of 13 killed Jedi cannot be denied and should be implemented in General Grievous canon article.

Canon:

LEAST POSSIBLE MINIMUM: 13 Jedi

-13 Jedi is the absolute minimum and its almost 100% sure that it were more as it assumes that all his lightsabers he used in the clone wars 2008 series were from the dead Jedi he also collected VISIBLE trophies from in episode 1x10 which were 12 plus the kill of Nahdar Vebb.

Possible Maximum: 13-21+ Jedi

-Assuming that there were no or only partialy as much as lightsabers in his collection as strands of hair from dead Jedi and he had to replenish them by new kills. We can atleast assume more then 13 kills as parts of the showcases of his strands of hair collection werent visible to the angle or clone troopers staying in front of it. But they were reffered by Jedi Knight Nahdar Vebb as "SO MANY!".

Here is where I draw those information from:

I just counted all the lightsabers from his collection we were able to see to estimate the amount of Jedi he killed in canon.(So the amount of lightsabers or other trophies we saw in ROTS and The Clone Wars 2008)

In the clone wars series Grievous lost several times a saber or was disarmed for example he lost 4 lightsabers alone at his short time capture by the EMP wielding Gungan Grand Army.

He lost 8 lightsabers during the whole Clone Wars 2008 Series.

SO if we count every lightsaber he lost during the series and had to replace plus the trophies we see in his secret hideout in TCW 1x10 we can conclude the canon numbers. By doing this I was able to make an estimate on his canon kill count.

There are 12 visible trophies of murdered Jedi in his secret hideout. VISIBLE and therefore again a MINIMUM!

As we arent able to see how big the room is and how many showcases were in it. Also some Clone Troopers partially hindered sight on the showcases. But 12 Trophies are visible in slow motion and with the kill of Nahdar Vebb thats a ABSOLUTE minimum kill count of 13 Jedi which cant be denied.

Allied with?

"Grievous was allied with InterGalactic Banking Clan Chairman San Hill, Archduke Poggle the Lesser, and Dooku, the count of Serenno"

There is no source for this and I do not remember seeing this is anything under the current canon. It's placing in the article seems to indicate this was prior to the Clone Wars, but again I do not remember much (if anything) canonically referencing his alliances prior to the Clone Wars

(I am aware this is most likely a legacy associated with the now Legends 'canon' but with nothing to support it now, it should be removed)

I also do not like the term 'claimed to have chosen to be rebuilt and have portions of his body replaced with cybernetics' There is nothing canonically stating otherwise, as such the word 'claimed' is implying there is another canonical reason to dispute it, but there are none

If there is nothing to canonically dispute these points they should be removed. I will consider removing it myself if no-one has any objections

His alliance with IBC is mentioned in Star Wars: Card Trader and Star Wars in 100 Scenes mentions that he claimed to be rebuild. This is further explained in General Grievous: Beneath the Armor in Star Wars Insider 149. ShaakTi1138 (talk) 17:01, February 21, 2017 (UTC)

(I don't know how to reply individually so Im just lumping it all in one comment) The Card Trader game and the mentioned books etc are non-canonical and are Legends sources only. As stated on this very website, the only canon sources currently are: Films, Clone Wars Film & Series, Rebels and Star Wars: Darth Maul—Son of Dathomir Comic. On that basis, surely the references I made in my original post should be removed? (As I said, saying Grievous 'claimed' to be rebuilt seems a moot point, canonically speaking, there is no reason to doubt him and thus it should be treated as fact, not just a claim on Grievous' behalf) 90.219.25.218 21:21, February 22, 2017 (UTC)

I think the quote used in the capture of Eeth Koth section should be the top quote

While the quote at the top of the page shows his hatred of the Jedi, this quote does that as well. ("A future where there are no Jedi") In addition it shows us more of his character (the "I'm not errand boy" part) than the current top quote does, and it mentions his leadership of the droid army ("I am the leader of the most power droid army the galaxy has ever seen").--Afilmfanforlife (talk) 02:43, August 21, 2018 (UTC)

Origin

Ultimate Star Wars states Grievous "chose to become a cyborg to increase his fighting prowess", and another comment on this talk age says that Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know says that Grievous "chooses to upgrade his organic body with synthetic parts. But with his heart and lungs failing, he has serious breathing problems and a nasty cough".(merely quoting that person I do not ownthat book or the later version of it). According to this artcile the new book Star Wars: Alien Archive - Species Guide says that he got the cybernetics after a crash. I don't own that either, but it does not seem to go into detail based on what I see here. So what should we do? It's possible that the crash happened and then he chose to be rebuilt.Or he was getting slowly rebuilt (as seen in the lair of grievous statues) and then the crash happened?--Afilmfanforlife (talk) 21:56, November 20, 2018 (UTC)

• Note that the Alien Archive is the first source to mention being involved in a crash, whereas before the other sources just say he choose to be upgraded etc. Now we have the reason why he chose to be.
