I have removed the insignia from that page. As is stated here, this is not the insignia of Havoc Squad, but is seen on the armor of every Republic trooper. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:03, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

  • Thats what I said. VolteMetalic 20:29, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

Re: File talk:Havoc Squad Insignia.svgEdit

Havoc Squad Insignia

I am probalby the only one who noticed it, but this is not a insignia of ONLY Havos Squad. Look on any official screenshot from the TOR, on every screenshot of Trooper, and look on his right shoulder pad, and what you will see? This insignia. Also on the official page of Trooper you can see in the background this insignia. So all in all, this is insignia of Republic Special Forces. VolteMetalic 23:40, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

  • It's a game, and they probably used it so they wouldn't have to design another logo to go on the Trooper model. I mean, what does the letter "H" have to do with the Trooper, or the Republic Special Forces? -revelae-talk- 02:43, August 22, 2010 (UTC)
  • It dont neccesery means "H". because when you will look carefully on the screenshots, on the concept arts and on the video, the insignia is not horizontal, or not even vertical, its rotated 45°, facing to the "north-east". In this state, what you see as "H" means nothing, or just dont means letter. Ofcourse, if you want to say me that all RSF forces are under Havoc Squad, that will explain everything. VolteMetalic 10:20, August 22, 2010 (UTC)
  • You've never seen diagonal text on Earth? "Ofcourse, if you want to say me that all RSF forces are under Havoc Squad, that will explain everything." I'm sorry, but I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. If you are, thanks for adding to the discussion in a constructive manner. If you aren't, that wouldn't make sense. -revelae-talk- 04:17, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
  • Ofcourse I was sarcastic. Havoc Squad is part of RSF, thats a well-known fact. Another fact is, in the game all troopers have these insignia on their right shoulder pads as a members of RSF. So overall, this insignia should be classified as RSF insignia. But like always, admins of this wiki will never accept this fact until LucasArts or BioWare will place it infront of their eyes. VolteMetalic 17:21, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
  • Well good for you then. But just because it's that way in-game doesn't mean it's canon information. We don't currently have enough information to say for sure either way, but obviously I think it's Havoc Squad's insignia and you think it's for all of the RSF.  -revelae-talk- 16:19, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
  • So by your logic every Republic Trooper is member of Havoc Squad? How many facts you want to accept it? Look on official page for Trooper on, and look on the background behind the Trooper, and you will see this insignia. So everything is by you Havoc Squad, and RSF doesnt exists, correct? VolteMetalic 22:28, August 28, 2010 (UTC)
  • The developers have said that the class story for the trooper is that the player is a member of Havoc Squad. In the first trailer, the troopers didn't carry the insignia but all the concept art for the class does. Based on that fact and that the sign contains the letter H to me looks like a pretty good indicator that it is in fact the Havoc insignia. The class is under Havoc squad, but that doesn't mean all of RSF is. "The writers were more than happy to help us out here–story-wise, you’re not playing just any Trooper, but rather a rising star of the Republic Special Forces unit known as Havoc Squad."

"But when the game begins, [new trooper characters have] just finished advanced training in forward assault, search & destroy, and advanced recon, and been asked to join Havoc Squad, the most elite of the special-forces groups."

  • That's not what I'm saying. As per SarimThiri, the fact that the insignia is on everything supports my opinion that those in trailer, and game, are part of the Havoc Squad, which is a unit of the RSF, and that the insignia is, indeed, for the Havoc Squad.  -revelae-talk- 01:15, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
  • I'd just like to point out that this symbol is a Aurabesh Herf, real-world equivalent to the letter "H". "H" for "Havoc". I'd hedge a good bet that this is definitely either a symbol for Havoc Squad, or the RSF in general. 02:17, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
  • When its official, I accept that, but than why its called "Havoc Squad", when it will have hundreads, if not thousands of members? Why it cant be named Havoc Division, Havoc Brigade, Havoc Corps or something...VolteMetalic 21:29, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
  • Because it's a game, and just because there are hundreds, if not thousands of members playing doesn't mean that there are that many canonically. Do we criticise the devs for including a non-canon ending in TFU or KotOR? Nope.  -revelae-talk- 01:15, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
  • Okay, until it is officially stated that this symbol belongs exclusively to Havoc Squad, we cannot claim that it is the Havoc Squad insignia. It may very well be, but, once again, until it is officially stated, we will not attribute it as such. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 02:01, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
  • Agreed. But nevertheless, I think the article itself should acknowledge that the squad appears in the game as well as the trailer, based on developer interviews and the blog, and it's role in the Trooper class story. And just a small comment on VolteMetalic's previous comment: Vette will be a companion of every single player Sith Warrior in the game. There will be hundreds if not thousands of Vettes in the game, and every player of the Trooper class will be of Havoc Squad. User:SarimThiri-Talk page 02:40, August 30, 2010 (UTC)
  • Okay, but should the insignia be added to the Republic trooper article? Of course, it would need a caption that makes it clear that the insignia is only on the troopers in the game.  -revelae-talk- 23:58, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Technically it is very possible that as a player of the Trooper class in SWTOR, you play as a member of Havoc Squad in general. As each class has its own complete story arc based on the class itself, it is easily explained in this manner. You could spend your time as a member of the Havoc Squad. Whether you decide this is the Special Forces emblem or more specifically the Havoc Squad emblem, it is all speculation until it is announced by Bioware. 10:19, September 19, 2010 (UTC)Echelon

Squadron instead of Squad? Edit

I think that this page was renamed or moved in error. The unit is repeatedly named as Havoc Squad in all released materials, and the words "squad" and "squadron" are not interchangeable in meaning. This change should be reverted.

Sith NOTE:This Topic Will Contain Spoilers Edit

Did all of Havoc Squad, including Jace Malcom, join the empire, or was it just tavus and his crew?

  • From what I gather, ALL of Havoc defected. The general clearly states that the player is the last member of Havoc squad, and that he is to both reform the squad with new people, (Jorgan, Elara and such) while at the same time hunting down Tavus and the others. As for Jace Malcom, he is still part of the republic, but not a Havoc member. He can clearly be seen at the end of the Jedi Knight campaign and at the battle on Ilum standing with Satele Shan, so he must have resigned from the group after his injury or something.--Jet Twilights 20:34, January 6, 2012 (UTC)

Who is the Founder?Edit

This wiki states that Jek Kardan is the Founder while this page states that Jace Malcom is the founder. Nzambi (talk) 11:59, February 7, 2017 (UTC)
