Name[]
Why come he has such a lame name? -- Doo Doo 07:15, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
- I think his name probably comes from the English word Horse (if pronounced exaggeratedly as hoe-ass) and the Latin equus (pronounced eck-wuss). Andskar (talk) 17:46, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
Picture?[]
Can we use the Corroney image as the main picture? It's ten times better than the hella lame one from NEGTC, which is just a horse in a pilot suit.--Valin Kenobi 07:26, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- Actually forget it--I just went ahead with it. Easier to ask forgiveness than permission, right? And I think most will agree this looks much better.--Valin Kenobi 07:28, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- Incidentally, it's too bad we can't also incorporate this piece of super-kickass fan art by Mido Kapetanovic.--Valin Kenobi 07:42, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- "just a horse in a pilot suit" -> I agree, but, when you see how this character has born, I believe that was the point. I mean, it was first some sort of joke, but as "lame" as it could be, it was only that, a guy with a horse head. In my opinion, we shouldn't try to get away of that very first intention. -- Kaal 17:12, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'll lean more to Runt's creator Arron Allston's vision [1], than ROTS artists. -Fnlayson 18:19, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- I wouldn't be averse to linking that page in the article's "External links" even though it is fan-art. It might be a bad precedent, but if the character's creator says the fanart is accurate, then it should be OK. -- Darth Culator (Talk)(TINC) 20:00, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- It was close. That link was listed on Dan Wallace's Blog page in the External links (now a reference). -Fnlayson 20:10, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- He may be a horse in a pilot suit, but I prefer the NEGTC version. Compare the pics, they don't look like the same person or even species! 66.63.86.156 23:28, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- The SW gamer pic (Infobox one) matches Runt better. He is described in the X-wing novels as having a fair amount of hair (more than NEGC image). -Fnlayson 23:38, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- I added that link to External links. But it may get reverted. -Fnlayson 20:22, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm, I think this sets a dangerous precedent. Sure, it may correspond with the author's mental image of the character, but it's still unofficial. How about simply adding a bit in the BTS section on how this fan art helped Allston visualize the character, using the link as a reference? --Imp 20:26, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- Sure, that would be better. -Fnlayson 21:15, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
