If it was this bad, with weak lasers, low speed, pathetic targeting etc, then why in Chaos did Palpatine give it to his ultimate elite corps? It just doesn't make sense. Evir Daal 07:58, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

NPOV flagEdit

I flagged this with the NPOV because of the repeated use of extreme disparaging characterizations of the I-7's weapons and targeting computer. Yes source material makes mention of the poor performance of the fighter's weapon systems, but I think the article in its current form goes overboard in emphasizing this above and beyond how it's represented in the source material. Also the use of "woefully outpaced" in describing its speed in comparison to the E-wing. The reason I flagged it is because the article in its current form just seems like it was written by someone who really hates the I-7 and wrote it in a way so that other people would come to the same conclusion. (see above section) It just seems like this could be rewritten in a less biased manner. Xavic Kae 18:55, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

Scale Edit

This craft is supposed to be super tiny but it's length is only 3 feet less than the X-Wing, and the scale in that picture with a guy standing in the cockpit is way off. Pretty weak. 64.47.148.150 18:33, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Hyperdrive Edit

Please note on pages 8 and 9 of Dark Empire 1: The Destiny of a Jedi a squadron of I-7s are not observed boarding or departing other hyperdrive capable support ships.

Again on pages 11 and 12 of Dark Empire II 1: Operation Shadow Hand a single fighter piloted by Kam Solusar, flying escort to Luke's X-wing (hyperdrive capable), is observed.

Likewise on page 21 of Dark Empire II 1: Operation Shadow Hand another squadron is observed landing at an orbital base on Byss and again are not seen boarding or departing other hyperdrive capable support ships of any sort.

A Third time on pages 9 and 12 of Dark Empire II 6: Hand of Darkness we see a squadron of these fighters leaving Vjun and arriving at New Alderaan with no assistance and under thier own power.

None of the original sources even suggest these ships require transport on larger hyperdrive capable craft for interstellar travel. The notion of these ships not being all hyperdrive capable must be a typo generated somewhere in the publishing history either in the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels and/or the Dark Empire Sourcebook. -- Frank V Bonura 21:20, November 1, 2014 (UTC)
