Unless I'm mistaken, the ISB is not represented in the Joint Chiefs. Here's an excerpt from Tarkin: "Just now the Joint Chiefs of the Empire’s military were gathered—Admiral Antonio Motti, General Cassio Tagge, Rear Admirals Ozzel, Jerjerrod, and others—along with several top officers from COMPNOR, including Director Armand Isard, ISB deputy director Harus Ison, and Colonel Wullf Yularen. Naval Intelligence was represented by Vice Admirals Rancit and Screed, who had requested the meeting." It says that COMPNOR officers were present at the gathering alongside the Joint Chiefs. They're not part of them. --Lelal Mekha (Audience Room) 00:31, November 13, 2014 (UTC)
Hmm, I'll take the time to reread the chapter tonight. The way the scene was set up later on made it sound like it was a meeting among only the joint-chiefs.
If I am wrong, I will make a separate article for COMPNOR.
- That article already exists at Commission for the Preservation of the New Order. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 01:02, November 13, 2014 (UTC)
Ranks In Infobox Edit
Is it necessary to have to ranks of the Joint Chief members in the Infobox? It just clutters to box, and, as seen in Tarkin, the ranks were constantly changing, so its basicaly pointless. Thanks - Tommy-Macaroni (talk) 18:42, April 10, 2016 (UTC)
Full name? Edit
At one point in Tarkin, this council is referred to as the "Joint Chiefs of the Army and the Navy," but is this an actual full name of just a bit of contextual fluff? --LelalMekha (talk) 16:07, May 17, 2016 (UTC)
Members on the Death Star Edit
In the meeting on the Death Star, are all the gathered members part of the Joint Chiefs? Or was it just some Joint Chiefs as well as commanders on the Death Star? If it is the former, we could add members such as Moradmin Bast. Tommy-Macaroni (talk) 18:46, June 28, 2016 (UTC)
Tagge as only survivor Edit
The article says Ozzel and Jerjerrod as being members early on, but later mentions Tagge being the only survivor of the Chiefs because the rest had died on the Death Star. Is that actually what was said in that comic, or is that a misinterpretation. Does that mean they were no longer chiefs? If not, the sentence about Tagge should be reworked to say that he was the only survivor of the chiefs who had been on the Death Star.20:49, December 22, 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah it's tricky. After Tarkin, we hear no mention of them being joint chiefs, but after 14 years they could have easily quit the group, and judging by their jobs in ESB and RoTJ, this seems likely. However, I take your point so feel free to change this in the article. -Tommy-Macaroni (Talk) 20:56, December 22, 2016 (UTC)
Inconsistency between A New Hope and Incident Report Edit
So, on this page Ozzel and Jejerrod are identified as members of the Joint Chiefs per Tarkin. In "Incident Report" from From a Certain Point of View, Motti describes the meeting depicted in A New Hope as a meeting of the Joint Chiefs and lists Ozzel and Jerjerrod as people present in the conference room while failing to mention Hurst Romodi or Wullf Yularen. Kinda perplexing but where does the canon stand on this? Are Ozzel and Jerjerrod retconned into the room? As we've never seen Tenant or Tallatz in canon to my knowledge I guess they could be two of the unidentified officers (presuming they don't have names in canon) but it's all rather a mess --UmbraWitchAlraune (talk) 20:14, December 31, 2017 (UTC)
- We don't need to worry about it, it is clear that the list of attendants Motti was listing is wrong --Lewisr (talk) 20:19, December 31, 2017 (UTC)
