Dramatis PersonaeEdit

Isn't that DP the exact same one as the one from Legacy of the Force: Betrayal? If it isn't, it's missing some people (notably Tenel Ka and Allana). StarNeptuneTalk to me! 06:26, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

  • You know Star... I think you're exactly right. I think someone accidentally copied and pasted the corrected/updated DP from the starwars.com forums that Sue Rostoni posted onto the Tempest page rather than the Betrayal page. So... I am going to go back and revert all the edits I just made, and revert the DP as well. - Breathesgelatin 06:29, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
    • Sorry. TFN reported that the Tempest list had been posted, and provided a link. I copied and pasted the list without checking the actual post. Blame TFN ;) - Kwenn 07:04, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
      • It's OK. A lot of people are confused about this from what I've seen. - Breathesgelatin 10:49, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
        • I have a feeling the Solo's genetic connection to Allan will be revealed in this novel--Darth EJ 18:20, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
  • Uh, the DP just got updated with World Brain and Alema Rar. Where is that info from? - Breathesgelatin 16:14, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
    • Legacy of the Force: Bloodlines has a Tempest excerpt in it - with Alema Rar and the World Brain. QuentinGeorge 22:34, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
      • So Alema Rar did survive The Swarm War. Either she's back with the Jedi like Raynar Thule or, more likely, with the Sith. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem 22:37, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
      • Woah woah woah, where'd you get an excerpt from Bloodlines? Darth EJ 22:14, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
        • Bloodlines was released Tuesday and in the back there is an excerpt from Tempest. - Breathesgelatin 20:48, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
        • O.K. thanks. I havent been able to get a hold of a copy of the book so I have no clue where some of this stuff comes from. Thanks again

The real Dramatis PersonaeEdit

  • Sweet! - breathesgelatinTalk 03:14, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
    • Nashtah sounds interesting. We've already heard this name before...as a nickname for a certain pale-skinned, Jedi-hating human/unknown female assassin who'd be roughly 93 as of Tempest... - Kwenn 07:26, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

- Yeah. This series is basically to tie up loose ends (although quite a good tier-upper at that). If, un fourtunately, they follow the way the authors have gone so far (see Ailyn Vel), Aurra's sung her last song. User:SingAurraSing

  • Wonder if they'll mention Wade Vox...anyway, they've removed Sal Solo and Vel...pattern, anyone? .... 04:02, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Hmm. We'll, they did throw Sintas a mention (although they had too). They tossed in Taun We. I guess to wrap things up, they'll give him a mention. SingAurraSing 04:17, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
      • Well, I'm not sure - according to Chee, none of the Demolition endings have been determined to be canoninical. .... 04:18, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Why is Wedge Antilles and the World Brain included in the DP? They are not in it! Why do you guys still include them? User:Zinnos

  • Because the World Brain is in it. It's in the Excerpt that came with Bloodlines .... 03:02, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, so? It isn't in the DP. I find it stupid that Wedge and the World Brain are included when they are NOT in it! User:Zinnos

CoverEdit

This is SWEET!!! This is what I'd been hoping for for AGES! OMG!! squee! *runs off to fangirl Tenel Ka somewhere on the net* - Breathesgelatin 02:13, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

  • What, does she run the risk of cutting something else off? I know it's a bad joke, but its true. -- SFH 04:48, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Interesting point... Why does she have TWO arms on the cover? Shouldn't she just have one? 169.229.121.94 05:07, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Look closely at the cover. The second arm is cut off at the elbow. QuentinGeorge 05:16, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

        • Yeah, I was kidding. And thank god. .... 04:21, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Im going to change the release date because i just got home from school and sitting on my kitchen table was tempest.69.26.85.41 22:12, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

  • This is not a change in the official release date, but merely a variation in distribution, however. - breathesgelatinTalk 22:17, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Ok sorry i will change it back. 69.26.85.41 22:17, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

I have this bookEdit

Yes, though you may not believe me, I have this book (yay for preorder!). Of course, I haven't finished it yet, I only just got it. I can confirm the Dramatis Personae to be correct. But yes, if you see me add any info, this is my source. Just thought I'd best say. Skywalka 03:07, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

  • I just got mine today. I work at Barnes and Nobles, and I went into the receiving room today, and there it was, sacks of them sitting near the computer station. It's strict on sale, meaning it can't be sold until its release date, but no one was back there, so I took it out, left it behind my desk, and during my break I brought it over to the register and bought it. Gonna start on it tonight. :) --Danik Kreldin 02:52, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Character Edit

  • Who is the new character? The foe from long ago? What do they do also? I don't have the book, so will someone who does please tell me, and add a summary to the page. Thanks. Chack Jadson 23:03, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Aurra Sing makes a reappearance, as well as Alema Rar. So does Jagged Fel. Other than that, not many new characters. No one major, anyway. --Danik Kreldin 01:36, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
      • Oh. I thought Aurra was in this. Anyway, I asked because somewhere it says "a foe believed to be long vanquished by the Jedi make a shocking return." I think it's in one of the Legacies, whether it's the comic or novels. Maybe it's Darth Krayts true identity. Chack Jadson 01:15, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
  • That foe is either Aurra or Alema. Both were thought dead, but are now back. --74.68.17.86 21:29, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Update!! Edit

Will someone please update this article?? What is the plot of the book - what happens?? Day-by-day??

Oh my... Edit

Was there some secret ceremony between bloodlines and tempest that promoted lumiya from a dark jedi to dark lady of the sith? see DP. what kind of foolishness is this? blatant sloppiness or do i just not get it?

i totally agree with this, i mean Lumiya gets to claim shes SITH all this time because there's nobody to smack her down like Dooku did to Asajj. Darth Depressis

Didn't she use the title Dark Lady of the Sith way back in Marvel Comics' Star Wars series? Its been years since i've seen the issue, much longer since i've read it, but I beleive she used that title then.

  • She was using that title long before any of the Legacy of the Force novels.--Lord OblivionSith holocronSith Emblem 23:38, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
    • She was Dark Lady of the Sith way back in Marvel days. Bloodlines is in error. QuentinGeorge 23:39, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

"Continuity Error" Edit

Hello all. I have a quick point. The article mentions a continuity error between The Courtship of Princess Leia and this book about Aurra Sing's records aboard the Chu'unthor. Yet, there is another article that mentions that her records were on it (the Clone Wars Chu'unthor). Is this in error, or does anybody mind if I change the article?? --71.237.225.160 04:38, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Abeloth Edit

When jacen is looking at the planet and the clouds seem to turn into a face it sounds similar to the description of abeloth's has anyone else noted this and if so would it be worth noting?--Mando'ade1138 09:09, January 30, 2010 (UTC)

I also seem to recall a similar sounding vision but witnessed by leia being in tatooine ghost but i'm not completely sure, can anyone verify this?--Mando'ade1138 18:31, February 23, 2010 (UTC)

Hardcover? Edit

Hello, everybody. It has certainly been a while since I've made any kind of appearance while logged in.

Anyways, I was browsing at my local Barnes and Noble when I noticed at least six or seven hard cover copies of Troy Denning's Tempest (on the bargain shelves, no less). Now, I remembered reading ages ago that only the first, fifth, and final novels in the Legacy of the Force series were mentioned on this site as being released in hardcover, so this definitely confused me. I felt this was worth mentioning on the talk page before adding the information to the article, since I didn't want people thinking I was just being an idiot or something.

The book is 392 pages with no excerpt from Exile; the ISBN is 978-0-7394-7705-2 (which doesn't pull any results when typing the number in the Book Sources page, nor throws an error), and the plot summary is inside the dust cover instead of outside on the back. Other than that, I notice no differences between the two versions. Below are some pictures of both versions; ignore the crappy quality of out-dated camera phones. // Mikah

  • Check the size of the book against your other SW hardcovers. Is it a bit smaller? If so, it's probably from the Science Fiction book club. They sold SW novels in a slightly smaller hardcover size, which, for whatever reason, allowed them to sell them for really cheap. I know a few people who ordered all of Legacy of the Force in hardcover through them. Weird that you found it at Barnes and Noble, though. Menkooroo 07:05, September 16, 2011 (UTC)
