Possibly Nyriaan system?[]
Should this be titled Nyriaan system instead? I've looked in Star Wars: The Essential Atlas Online Companion and couldn't find a mention of Luire system anywhere, but Nyriann system was a new addition, and it has all the same stats as this system. I suggest we re-name this page to Nyriaan system. TK-299 (Click Here) 13:09, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
- Problem is, is that Nyriaan has a pretty extensive write-up in Galaxy of Intrigue, and the Luire system is specifically referred to on multiple occasions as the name of the system, whereas the Online Companion is a simple chart of names and positions, one that can be inaccurate and has been corrected for information in the past, and likely the future as well. What this does serve to do is throw into question the notion that the names on the Companion are definitively system names, and not just planet names in some cases. Might be worth mentioning over wherever that debate is going on. Dangerdan97 05:38, June 17, 2010 (UTC)
- Both the Atlas and the OC list their systems by planet name instead of their proper system name. This isn't a problem for systems already named after a planet they contain, but in cases like this we usually take whatever the original source says over the Atlas/OC name. If a system has a unique and that's the one used most often, then we keep it at that name, regardless of what the Atlas/OC says. Just redirect Nyriaan system to Luire system and you'll be all set. - How about adding "Nyriaan system" as an alternative name? Imperators II 18:23, March 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, when a name already exists, its better to let it. But a redirection can be a good idea.Hk 47 18:31, March 16, 2011 (UTC)
