Hair color[]

why is it listed as blonde if in the pictures it looks more light brown?--72.215.154.27 23:06, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

Powers and abilities[]

I recently revamped the powers and abilities section because it seemed so lacking and jumbled. I put everything already there in chronological order then I added stuff from the Marvel comics, I Jedi, Dark Empire 2, YJK Jedi under siege, Jedi Outcast, Legacy of the Force, and Fate of the Jedi. I'm fairly certain all of his major duels are now there, except for The New Rebellion duels but I'm still reading them, but if anybody has any comments/criticism on the change it would be appreciated. What ever happened to Luke Skywalker[]

Why is it that Luke Skywalker seems to have disappeared from the media? He hasn't been seen in any movies or tv appearances since the 1970's unless you count the scene where Padme gives birth to him an Leia in Episode 3. It seems like Anakin is taking his place in the star wars world, he stole his look, his name, his job, even his prosthetic arm. is he ever gonna show up on tv or the movies again? Unsigned comment by Tsl3161991 (talk • contribs).

While I'd be glad to engage in some discussion and speculations, and address a couple of inaccurasies, such a discussion wouldn't be relevant. The talk page here is for discussion of article improvement, not the subject matter itself. You might want to ask your question in one of the many other online forums devoted to Star Wars discussions.  :)

update Luke Skywalkers powers and abilities section[]

I found this comment (below) I can’t remember were but it's referring to Luke in the new novels that I have not red and it mentions force powers that are not in the powers and abilities section on Luke Skywalkers Wookieepedia page. Perhaps sum-one cold update that section pleas.

In the EU, Luke Skywalker can use the force to move black holes (Dark Tide: Ruin) and rip apart fortresses (Before the Storm). In the Vong War he took on hundreds of Vong Slayers by himself (The Unifying Force) despite the fact that a single Vong Slayer is a match for a skilled Jedi Knight. And currently, Luke is matching the Star Wars equivalent of Cthulhu, her name is Abeloth, a being who has enough power to melt an entire city of Sith with a single scream (Fate of the Jedi). -- Strength 2 23:08, December 11, 2011 (UTC)

It says Luke was born to the queen of Naboo, but wasnt Padme no longer queen when Luke was born.

Luke's Romances[]

Shouldn't Tenenniel Djo be included on Luke's romances? ObiKenobiUPC 02:02, February 29, 2012 (UTC)

Jedi Council Link Box[]

Why have the Solusars been removed from the Jedi High Council link boxes at the bottom? They've definitely been on the Council since the Dark Nest Trilogy, even if they don't always take part in Council meetings.McJediProbie 18:39, March 30, 2012 (UTC)

Hilarious coincidence[]

At one time I think I actually had his hair cut 6rosalina 11:29, April 14, 2012 (UTC)

Empty Feelings...[]

So, as we all should know, Luke finally killed Abeloth for good, (Or at least for a while), but in doing so, she punched a hole in his soul or whatever the Mindwalking makes you, (Pure force energy or something), But whatever the case, he can still feel her tentical in his stomach, even months after the fight, and he still looks weak. I wonder what this means for the future. Perhaps this will lead to his death or maybe Abeoth will try to return though Luke. Lastly, you can't count this as miss use of the talk page because I think we should add that little part about him still feeling her tentical in his stomach, not just, "He was left injured".--Jet Twilights 12:58, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

Luke's hand[]

I heard that Luke revieved a organic hand from his service under the emperor this should be included in the article if canon

Missing Lightsaber Style[]

What style was he using when astral projected himself onto the anikan solo in the book legacy of the force: ininvible?

Luke's jedi class?[]

The Jedi Guardian page lists Luke among guardians, but where's it said that he's a guardian?--Shioroi (talk) 14:33, May 27, 2013 (UTC) 23.20.219.54 23:44, August 6, 2013 (UTC) It Doesn't say it should be removed23.20.219.54 23:44, August 6, 2013 (UTC)

Other abilities "unarmed proficiency"[]

I'm having a big problem with Luke's page not recognizing Luke's exceptional skill in unarmed combat when Cade Skywalker and Plo koon are recognized. Luke was able to defeat Guri unarmed in shadows of the empire. Guri is Exceptional in the arts of unarmed combat. Luke had tons of combat experience since Shadows of the empire to Fate of the Jedi. Luke took on Abeloth unarmed in the duel of the lake of apparitions. Luke ended up defeating Abeloth by pushing his elbow through her head! Luke should be recognized in being a skilled unarmed combatant. September 2, 2013 Dark Skywalker3000 (talk) 04:31, September 2, 2013 (UTC)Dark Skywalker3000

Legacy Appearance[]

Is this[3] a canonical appearance for Luke in the legacy era? Razzy1319 (talk) 16:59, February 16, 2014 (UTC)

New Canon[]

What is to be done about all the info that is no longer considered canon by Lucasfilm? All that old EU is now in the Legends continuity and not part of the Main canon anymore. How will this be sorted out? Matt Seay (talk) 02:14, May 9, 2014 (UTC)

  • There is a discussion at the Senate Hall about this issue for the entire site, and there is also a vote on the matter as well. Most likely, articles which have both the official canon and Legends material will have two tabs, one for Legends, and the other for Canon (kind of like the Old Databank). Admiral James Kaizer (talk) 17:47, May 9, 2014 (UTC)

Okay thanks for the info. I foresee the site getting a HUGE overhall after the Lucasfilm bombshell. Just wanting to stay in the know about how the site will handle the Legends continuity and the new canon. Matt Seay (talk) 01:22, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, the site is going to be very different, and it will be quite awhile before we have all of the articles tabbed and fixed up I expect. One good thing is that none of the Legends info will be removed : ) Admiral James Kaizer (talk) 20:10, May 11, 2014 (UTC)

Well that is good. Just added to it's own section. Can that be done already for this one. All post Jedi stuff is now under Legends for Luke. Or do we wait until Episode VII comes out? Matt Seay (talk) 21:28, May 20, 2014 (UTC)

Are they going to add canon bars around the sections that are part of the official universe? Just have a giant Bar that says CANON Unsigned comment by 23.28.21.187 (talk • contribs).

  • Nope! We have two separate articles: Luke Skywalker is just for canon information, while this article is for Legends (which includes Episodes I-VI and The Clone Wars). - Brandon Rhea(talk) 17:03, July 12, 2014 (UTC)

2.2 Updated with new information[]

Luke Skywalker is listed at 1.72 Meters and 77 kg (5'8" , 170 pounds) as a character, but the actor Mark Hamill himself is listed at 5 ft 7 and 130 pounds (or 1.70 meters, and 59 kg) in all the magazine interviews from the 1970's: Tiger Beat Magazine 1971, Tiger Beat Super Special Vol. 1 #4, 1977 pg 55. I could name half a dozen more references. --67.5.217.165 09:26, August 28, 2014 (UTC)

  • This is a Star Wars wiki, so we go by the information provided on characters in official Star Wars sources, even if they don't match the actor's height and weight. All those interviews don't mean anything. At most, the discrepancy can be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. QuiGonJinn (Talk) 09:30, August 28, 2014 (UTC)

Ok. Thanks. And who knows-- maybe Mark grew an inch after age 24, and gained 40 pounds for the role as Luke?....;) Although, his "29 inch" waist Khaki pants which recently fetched $36,000 at auction last year would tend to suggest otherwise. --67.5.217.165 09:43, August 28, 2014 (UTC)

Jedi Individuals category[]

He appears in the Rebel Jedi list, but he wasn't a Jedi before 2 BBY, which technically makes him a Rebel Force-sensitive, no? Can anyone clarify?--Fekyu 08:36, May 8, 2015 (UTC)

reference issue[]

The {{Succession box}} at the bottom of this page includes a handful of references. However, this box is below the Notes and references section, so these <ref> tags result in the error message Cite error: <ref> tags exist, but no <references/> tag was found appearing at the bottom of the page.

The order of these items is correct—the {{Succession box}} should be after Notes and references—so it is unclear how to handle this. My best guess is that the <ref> tags in the box should be removed: in theory, the box should only be summarizing information that is in the article body, hopefully with proper citations. Any other ideas? Asithol (talk) 05:59, February 8, 2016 (UTC)

  • The Layout Guide clearly indicates the Notes and references section should be after the {{Succession box}}. Imperators II(Talk) 11:37, February 11, 2016 (UTC)
    • Indeed it does. (Teach me to rely on my own memory...) Fixed now. Asithol (talk) 03:29, February 24, 2016 (UTC)

Opening sentence[]

"Luke Skywalker was a Force-sensitive Human male who helped defeat the Galactic Empire in the Galactic Civil War and helped found the New Republic, as well as the New Jedi Order."

I'm surprised that for an article this old, the opening sentence is so elementary. Shouldn't it be explicitly mentioned that he was a Grand Master of the Jedi Order in the first sentence for example? The vocabulary of the sentence is also too basic. Sol PacificusFirestorm 17:58, September 14, 2017 (UTC)

2.7 Modified image(s)[]

Would it be more plausible to have the introductory picture of Luke as his older Legends self? I know most other articles practice updating their front pictures in accordance with the characters current appearance. No problem with the current one, but I was curious if anyone else felt like the picture should be of an older GrandMaster Luke instead of him from episode VI.

Birth Date Source?[]

The birth date given for Luke Skywalker here is 16:5:24. However, no source is provided for that piece of information. Where does the info that he was born the day after the Declaration of a New Order come from? Keeper of the Timeline (talk) 03:20, April 24, 2020 (UTC)
