Turbolasers[]
Is there any information on where the turbolasers are actually mounted on a Marauder? I sure can't see them. 68.47.234.131 04:59, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
- The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels shows the general location of several turbolasers on the Marauder. We can't see most of the turbolasers on Star Destroyers either, but then we saw in Episode III that they are internal and fire out of windows. Without proof of their existance, we must have faith. In that way, turbolasers are kind of like God. Also, the smiting. They're both good at that. —Darth Culator (talk) 07:23, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
- Not really "windows", but close enough, I guess. Admiral J. Nebulax 12:32, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
eaw version[]
hey im just asking about the empire at war version of the ship. Now could that version be a possible modification or is it one of empire at wars non canon features?
- It's probably just an in-game feature. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk)

- in the expansion pack for empire at war, the black sun pirates appear to be using the usual version with 8 turbolasers. it does not, however have any fighters.

Darth Maul Comic[]
- Asa Naga escapes the destruction of Darnada's station in a Marauder-class corvette, but it was incorrectly drawn to be the size of a starfighter. It really should have been much larger than Maul's Scimitar. Would it be a good idea to add this inconsistency to Behind the scenes?--Darth Oblivion 15:23, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'd say so. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- It's possible that Sienar simply built a starfighter with a similar hull form to the Marauder (which already resembles a fighter). Red XIV 20:31, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

- Is there any source for this being a Marauder-class corvette? Maybe we should call it just Asa Naga's starfighter or Marauder-style starfighter?—Unsigned comment by 84.141.214.182 (talk • contribs).

Star trek similarities[]
This ship also seems to have elements of the Klingon bird of prey. Marauder http://sovereignreplicas.com/finalFR7.jpg

Width and Height Dimensions[]
After learning that the original dimensions for width and height were derived from measuring the schematics in The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, I corrected the numbers for these measurements based on the following:
By my calculations, the Marauder is only 131.16-131.26 meters wide, and 22.02-22.04 meters tall. I arrived at these numbers by taking scanned images of the schematics and rescaling the two views (dorsal and anterior) from The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels to match one another (they are not to the same scale as one another as printed) in an image editing program, then calculating pixels per meter based on the length of the ship's dorsal view, and applying that form of measure to the width of the scanned and scaled image of the ship's anterior view.
While I still feel that this is borderline "original research", it is as exact as I can imagine making these estimations, and it could be argued that this sort of measurement falls under WP:ATT 2.2. I have added an abbreviated explanation of how these figures were sourced to the "Behind the scenes" section so that it is clear that these figures are not explicitly stated in any canonical source so as not to potentially mislead readers. --Matthias777 07:39, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
Rebellion[]
I was under the impression that the CSA sold a number of their marauders to the rebellion. It looks like this has been removed? —Unsigned comment by 76.24.10.30 (talk • contribs).
- If you wish to add it back, go ahead. Just make sure it's sourced. Cheers, Tomotron
