Death confirmed[]

Just to note that Leland 'Keeper of the Holocron' Chee's latest Blog states Veers died on Balmorra, confirming his previously 'reported' death - Kwenn 16:50, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

  • That bit about Sedriss demoting Veers and sending him on a suicide mission doesn't make much sense, though. As I recall, Sedriss idolized Vader (he disobeyed a direct order from Palpatine to destroy the Vader statue at Bast Castle), so I'd expect him to be thrilled by the idea of having Vader's top surviving subordinate under his command. Red XIV 02:57, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
    • I agree Veers was too well connected with Vader for him to be demoted and ordered to his death by Vader's biggest fan. Plus in the At-At accident at Hoth he wasn't killed, but lost his legs. It is hard to believe that Sedriss would send him on a suicidal mission. 10 August 2006 General M. Veers

Imperial Academy[]

Is it confirmed that it was the Imperial Academy he went to? Assuming he joined up at age 18 (which is when all other (proto)-IA graduates, save Pellaeon, entered) it wouldn't have been the Imperial Academy until his second year at the earliest. Kuralyov 06:31, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

Source questions[]

What is the source for the claim that Veers' was in command at Endor?Vymer 16:09, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Is there really such a statement? The commander of the Imperial fleet at that time was Captain Firmus Piett. Lorth NeedaStriptease 16:51, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
    • I mean it says he was in command of the AT-ATs on Endor. Is there a source for that?Vymer 22:02, 17 October 2006 (PDT)

Inconsistency in the timelime[]

There are inconsistencies in the time line concerning when Veers created the AT-AT between the first two sections. The first section says that AT-AT's were used in a battle and the second section says that Veers then went to participate in a secret program to create the first AT-AT prototype. Image[]

If anyone here has a copy of DEII, could you please scan the image of Veers's command speeder on Balmorra? I think it would be a good addition to the article.--CT-5619 helmet comlink 01:29, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

New changes[]

The abovementioned continuity error was explained in the game databank for Galactic Battlegrounds--Veers was constructing a new version of the old walker. I've worked this information into the update, as well as more info from Empire at War and the Movie Trilogy Sourcebook. TalonCard 06:59, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

One little change[]

Just to tell that with his homeworld, can we just put it to be Unknown just to put a little mystery for the character because if a person is wondering what the characters homeworld is, they're going to be thinking we've forgotten it even though he doesn't have one so can we just put unknown down. --Vitas 23:07, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

  • It goes against a widely accepted precedent on the wiki. Otherwise I wouldn't take issue with it.—Graestan(This party's over) 23:11, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
    • It's absolutely pointless and unhelpful. Having the field not show up is more useful than a field which looks like it's going to say something important but instead says it has no idea. -- I need a name (Complain here) 23:18, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
      • But it's not harming anything. So whether it was there or not wouldn't really matter so putting it there wouldn't really make a difference. I mean where's that Star Wars spirit. --Vitas 23:22, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
        • See you've left it for this long and there's no harm done. --Vitas 23:33, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
          • We've probably removed it now. Anyway, I think typing "unknown" into the infobox would make a difference. If we wrote "unknown" in the in-universe section of the article, it could imply that no one in the Star Wars universe knew where he came from, and that this mysterious status is a canonical fact. If we just leave it out, it is simply an admission that we, the fans, don't know his homeworld because the authors haven't established it yet. —Silly Dan (talk) 23:36, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Hoth AT-AT accident[]

This seems to come from the original Empire Strikes Back novel, although he dies along with the T-47 pilot. Now it's said that neither died. Where else does it say that a T-47 crashed into Blizzard 1? If it doesn't anywhere alse then it should be considered useless non-canon garbage like the Emporer being weak-minded and Owen being Obi-Wan's brother. Can anyone provide a canon source that states a T-47 crashed into Blizzard 1 without contradicting anything? Stormiefan 00:44, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

  • I can't name any such source. Out of curiosity, is Veers seen anywhere in Episode 5 after the battle? If so, then that kind of shoots down the whole "no legs" business. -MPK 01:20, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
    • The "legs business" is in the New Essential Guide to Characters, and Galaxy Guide 3: The Empire Strike Back confirms the T-47 crashing into Blizzard 1. The NEGtC retcons the whole event, so there's no reason to go bellowing that the Blizzard 1 destruction is "non-canon garbage". Cull Tremayne 20:52, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
