The New Essential Guide to Droids describes the Exile as a "heroine," making her canonically female. This is further reinforced by the Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide and The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, which explicitly state that the Exile is female. An administrator will step in and take appropriate actions if there are any attempts to change this canonical fact.

Plot hole[]

According to the more recent KOTOR material, the Jedi Council begrudgingly authorized Revan, along with any Jedi who chose to follow him, to intervene in the Mandalorian Wars after they saw what happened on Cathar. The Council, including the Jedi that remained loyal to the Council, simply chose to stay out of it. So why was the Exile punished for following Revan to war? JRT2010 18:54, May 9, 2011 (UTC)

  • Because Vrook and Atris are jerks. And what material do you reference?Karohalva 18:57, May 9, 2011 (UTC)
    • Yes, Vrook and Atris both seemed intent on punishing anyone connected to Revan, since they coudn't actually punish Revan himself. The material that I mentioned is Knights of the Old Republic 42: Masks, in which the Council reluctantly sanctioned the intervention of Revan and his followers, but still kept the overall Jedi Order out of the fighting.JRT2010 19:37, May 9, 2011 (UTC)

Well, well I want to contribute with something new, I've played Knights of the old Republic II: The Sith Lords a lot of times and I have found an alternative ending besides the common dark and light endings. The story is like this: After defeating Darth Nihilus the Jedi Exile returns to Telos where she meets Carth Onasi, who talks with her about her actions and Carth compares her with Revan, after a short talk Carth leaves and then Bastila Shan appears to talk with the Exile, and then she tells her about Revan and his last quest for the Sith, and tries to convince the Jedi Exile to follow him to see what happened to him, after that there's a moment of silence followed by the credits of the game. To reach this ending I tried to take actions on both sides, sometimes light and sometimes dark, I was kind of in the middle. Kittor 15:10, July 11, 2011 (UTC)Kittor

  • I've never seen or heard of this ending. As it goes in the game—the Exile defeated Darth Nihilus, met with Carth Onasi on Telos for a short while, and then went straight to Malachor V. Also, she never spoke with Bastila; Carth told the Exile about Revan's actions in the Jedi Civil War and how he disappeared into the Unknown Regions of Space. Bastila entered the room after the Exile left, so there was no interaction between them during that cutscene. The only way to access that canonical cutscene is to tell Atton Rand—at the beginning of the game—that Revan was a man and that he saved the Republic from Malak and the Sith. In any case, the canonical ending is the only one that can go in the biography section; non-canon endings are regulated to the Behind-The-Scenes section. But feel free to edit this article if you have any additional information to include. Just remember the few basic rules: Information for every section (minus behind-the-scenes) has to be from a canonical source, your writing has to be of a sufficient standard (i.e. good writing style, correct use of grammar and sentence structure, spelling, etc.), and cite all of your information with footnotes to show where the info came from. I hope this helps, but if not, then you should ask one of the administrators, or just someone else who's been here a lot longer than me.JRT2010 16:04, July 11, 2011 (UTC)
    • Sounds like a glitch or bug, and thus not worth adding. –Tm_T (Talk) 19:50, July 11, 2011 (UTC)
    • Sounds like made-up shit, and now you're being watched. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 19:56, July 11, 2011 (UTC)

Rename page to Meetra Surik, as of the Exile's new canonical name (as per The Old Republic: Revan)

Also, all references to "canonical light side ending" can be removed.

The exile is now known to have done the following:

She's definitely female, to reiterate. Cut herself off from the force to protect herself from the effects of the Mass Shadow Generator (According to Atris, but she seems unsure) Her name is Meetra Surik. Revan referred to her as his most trusted general. No more "one of".

That's all I got thus far.

Thanks, ◄Chartax►talk 01:33, November 9, 2011 (UTC)

Meetra's face[]

First off, yes I'm using her real name now. Second, I want to mention the way she looks. I've been studying this profile picture and came up with one conclusion. IT DOESN'T MATCH ANY PLAYABLE FACE!! The closest I can get is the blond girl, but it says her hair is brown. Why would they make her canon features unattainable for any playthough of KOTOR II!?! The only way to get the canon face is via a Mod!

Well I am assuming that the blond girl with the same hair is her because look at her closely. Brown her are re-growing so i'm assuming that she dyed them in blond but is in fact brown her as natural. BlasterS33 07:01, November 15, 2011 (UTC)BlasterS33

Actually, whoever you are, thats a REALLY good theory. She could have dyed her hair after the War to be incognito for a while, when got caught back up with the Sith before it grew back in brown!

That's about as much as I can come up with. I mean it's possible it's another one of the ugly faces with brown hair but the haircut doesn't look the same as the figurine (as much as we can see I mean there is not a single large picture of that figurine nor one who shows it's haircut close) so I think it's the most logical explanation. Meetra Surik[]

Can we please get a page move to her actual name, Meetra Surik? Thank you. Squishy Vic talk 19:23, November 15, 2011 (UTC)

Hi I've copied the Jedi Exile story to the article name. Idon't know if I have clearance or anything for that but I don't see the problem now that her name is official. If someone know if I have the right or not please let me know! BlasterS33 04:38, November 16, 2011 (UTC)BlasterS33

    • Could the talk page archives be moved as well? I think that requires sysop rights. Tinwe(comlink) 18:35, November 17, 2011 (UTC)
      • Done. Cheers, 1358 (Talk) 19:32, November 17, 2011 (UTC)

I have been doing a little amateur research on the gender of the name "Meetra". The Exile is canonically female but I think Her given name is unisex or could plausibly be so. Granted that might not mean much in a Universe where the chief hero/villain is a boy nicknamed "Anniee". Word/Name gender might be fluid in a galaxy far far away but it would make sense. After all both Revan and Jaden Korr are canonically male but if you play them as females in the games the names stay the same. The names are clearly unisex. Thus this might also apply to the Jedi Exile. The non-canon LSM/DSM Exile could be called "Meetra" too IMHO. I believe this is so because I found that though the use of the name seems to mostly apply to women I have found at a glance at least two Indian guys and an Arab boy mentioned on the net with the name "Meetra". This might be significant in the section on Behind the scenes/Gender one could use the Exile's first name as well as the last. Just putting this out there. Cheers. (Darthjimscott4th 02:29, December 4, 2011 (UTC))

  • This type of information would be classified as trivia, which are not included in Bts sections. Even so, unless you have a cited source that the writers intended the name to be unisex, it is speculation. GethralkinHyperwave 14:47, December 5, 2011 (UTC)

Add to Biography[]

I think we need to add to her biography to tell how she died in the battle against Vitiate. Just saying that.--Senjuto 17:57, November 18, 2011 (UTC)

Would anyone please add to Meetra's bio of what happened after she defeated the Sith Triumvirate up to her death at the hands of Lord Scourge and her becoming a Force ghost. --Senjuto 02:38, November 22, 2011 (UTC)

Another "Add to Biography"[]

I'd like to update Meetra Surik's page.

After her death it's said that instead of becoming one with the force, her spirit remained with Revan helping him endure the Emperor's powers for 300 years.

Thanks to the MMORPG "The Old Republic", an answer is given as to what happen to her during the events of the war against the Sith. As Revan's page has already been update, according to the same source (the game : The Old Republic)

During the war, Meetra (credited as Jedi Entity) appears to a Master Jedi called Oteg and ask him to free a prisonner on Taral V even if the name of Revan is not revealed at this moment. Oteg then sent a team on Taral V where they're able to free the mysterious prisonner (revealed as Revan) from imprisonment. When Revan asked who sent them, Meetra appears as a force ghost and tell him about the current situation ( that the war was on, peace treaty lost). She then disappears, becoming one with the force. Revan promises to finish what "they started" and also later confirmed to the team that the force ghost revealed to them was the Jedi Exile, in other words...Meetra Surik. He's indeed quoted as saying that "History remembers her as the Exile, to me she was...more"

Of course I have the sources from these informations which are taken from the game "Star Wars The Old Republic". Many videos were taken from the game and can prove that on Youtube.

Is it possible to update ? --Damienpato1987 16:12, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

Canon Face[]

MAJOR SPOILER: So I have this video showing her face and I'd like everyones opinion on which face is supposed canon.(url removed, –Tm_T (Talk) 13:40, November 19, 2011 (UTC)) BlasterS33 22:16, November 18, 2011 (UTC)BlasterS33

  • Very well done for finding that video but while I assume the ghost is her we can't be 100% sure and I don't think we should use the ghost as her main pic.--Gboy4 22:50, November 18, 2011 (UTC)
    • We cannot and we will not use any leaked video or other unpublished information here in Wookieepedia. –Tm_T (Talk) 13:40, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
      • Well, judging from information in The Old Republic: Revan and leaked video from the Taral V flashpoint, it's pretty apparent that her canon face is the 9th one in the selection. Ruthless Xero(Comment) 21:53, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
        • That one has green eyes, I think. Jayden Matthews 22:07, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
          • I just checked it in-game. They seem to be blue-gray. Ruthless Xero(Comment) 22:14, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
            • Fair enough, but the one below that also has blue eyes and blonde hair. The one above has blonde hair, but I'm not sure of her eye color. Jayden Matthews 17:40, November 20, 2011 (UTC)
              • Meetra had short brown hair! It's the exact same line that I am reading right now! So her hair was not blonde by the time she went to look for Revan some years after she had defeated Traya. Meetra had short brown hair, pale white skin, and piercing blue eyes. But as I said earlier I still think it's the 9th one as she is blonde true, but brown hair are regrowing so she must have dyed them blonde. Also they are short. My source come from the beginning of the 17th chapter. BlasterS33 02:35, November 22, 2011 (UTC)BlasterS33
                • You cannot assume that, and you don't need to try locate canon face from the game options, it's more likely (and I'd say based on the novel and the rest it definately is) none of them are canon. (: – Tm_T@Wookieepedia:~$ 08:31, November 22, 2011 (UTC)
                  • Well, then I must say that is a TERRIBLE move on there part. Do they not expect that some fans will have MAJOR OCD, (Which I do) and demand a face to link to the character!? Its almost like they based the canon appearance after this mod! http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/screenshots/File/107995/2 --Jet Twilights 05:05, November 23, 2011 (UTC)
                    • Wow, I could've sworn that the book said she had blonde hair. Ruthless Xero(Comment) 05:18, November 23, 2011 (UTC)
                      • Wait wait wait! Maybe face number 4 is the canon face. She has short hair and its brown! Just because it doesn't perfectly match the cruddy sketch we have as the profile doesn't mean its wrong, you know.--Jet Twilights 00:43, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
                        • Face 4 is impossible as it is not even close to the description. *yellow* skin and not even blue eyes? The *face* that we can't see on trhe picture of Meetra fighting Kreia's lightsaber is the 3rd one as you can only see her *ponytail*. But this doesn't mean anything as she has green eyes. BlasterS33 01:48, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
                          • Just because hair is long or short or red or blue, it does not verify identity. Hair is the easiest of bodily features to alter. GethralkinHyperwave 04:41, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
                            • Even so, none of us are smart enough to just decide on a face! Its not that hard. Its just the face that we here at Wookipeedia all HATE being wrong, so we deside to avoid what we can not prove. But, for once in our miserable lives, I say we take a deep breath, look at the faces and just PICK ONE! Were not droids, people. we can't be perfect. So, just choose the one that matches the closest! BLUE EYES, LIGHT SKIN! hair doesn't matter because she can dye it!--Jet Twilights 05:37, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
                              • I don't think it's the way it goes. I don't think we can just *choose* a picture that way. We will just have to wait to see her face on TOR when it comes out and take her face there. But as for me I think the blonde one with short hair and brown re-growing hair at the base with the blue eyes and light skin is the one ;) BlasterS33 09:17, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
  • I Agree. It was late when I wrote that, so naturally I was a little over the top with my thinking. Also I'm tired of everyone arguing over something so silly. Her force ghost in TOR doesn't look much like any of these faces because of the face that the entire thing is shaded in blue. And i'm sure everyone will get mad that she has a different hair style then any of the possible faces even though she could have easily CHANGED IT.--Jet Twilights 16:28, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
    • Sorry to burst your bubble, guys, but seeing as how Drew Karpyshyn has confirmed the Revan's canocial appearance doesn't correspond to any of the selectable faces from the game don't you think that the same will be true for Meetra? Jayden Matthews 12:51, November 26, 2011 (UTC)
      • That exactly is the situation currently: none of the game faces are canon until some source states otherwise. That's pretty much what I tried to hint in my previous message. (: – Tm_T@Wookieepedia:~$ 16:07, November 26, 2011 (UTC)

Is it really necessary to keep this banner anymore? It was silly back then and it's sillier even now with TOR: Revan out. Only with that novel out is this article now even fully fleshed, and I think the vast majority can now except the story as it is put forward in the novel. SPS 20:03, November 26, 2011 (UTC)

Since it's on the talk page, I'd recomend keeping it. Don't underestimate the desires of some fanboys/girls to override canon with personal fanon.--Hawki 11:30, December 7, 2011 (UTC)

Meetra/Jedi Exile display picture[]

Did you make that display picture? If so, I was wondering if I could possibly obtain permission digitize it with photoshop and, if it lives up to your quality standards, to use that as the display pictures..--Themanclaw 02:15, December 11, 2011 (UTC)

  • We did not design or draw the current profile picture. It was an image officially commissioned by LFL for use in the Star Wars Miniatures: Jedi Academy expansion pack. Wookieepedia does not utilize fan art or non-official fan creations, so we could neither create our own profile image nor use your modification. We do appreciate your enthusiasm, however :) Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 10:34, December 11, 2011 (UTC)
    • It's a really, truly terrible picture to be the main article image, IMO. I'd love to see it replaced entirely--though I hasten to add that I don't have any suggestion of what we might replace it with. DigiFluid 16:14, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

"This section includes" blah blah[]

Now that the Exile has not only been given a name, but canonically confirmed as having destroyed the Triumvirate and saved the galaxy (in Revan), I think the time has come to remove the 'uncertain canon' tag from this article. The 'light side ending' tradition of Star Wars games has been confirmed to have continued unabated. Thoughts? DigiFluid 18:03, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

Main image vote[]

Not much to say about this one. It has to be done! Jayden Matthews 14:19, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

Option 1[]

  1. It wouldn't make much sense to have Surik's ghost as her infobox image, especially when Anakin, Obi-Wan and Yoda's main images reflect them when they were alive, not dead. JRT2010 14:27, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
  2. I have to agree. A picture of her when she's dead, even if it's a newer image of her, doesn't seem proper. We should have a picture of her when she was still alive, and leave her spirit picture for the Legacy section.—Cal JediInfinite Empire.svg (Personal Comm Channel) 14:45, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
  3. 1358 (Talk) 15:14, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
  4. Marcheto 16:49, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
  5. Gonna have to say "duh" on this one. Nobody is depicted as a ghost unless there are NO alternatives. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 17:13, January 14, 2012 (UTC)
  6. JangFett (Talk) 00:55, January 26, 2012 (UTC)

Option 2[]

  1. Jayden Matthews 14:19, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
BlasterS33 13:51, January 14, 2012 (UTC) (Vote struck per policy: less than 50 main namespace edits -- Darth Culator (Talk) 17:13, January 14, 2012 (UTC))

Abstaining for now. The current image is awful and I'd love to have it removed, but JRT2010 makes a valid point. -- DigiFluid 14:32, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

  • I'd agree, except we have a plentifull supply of high quality images of both Anakin and Obi-Wan. The same is not true for Meetra. Jayden Matthews 14:43, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

Lightsaber color?[]

I know cyan and blue are basically the same, but Revan describes her as wielding a blue lightsaber, and we only know that Meetra's saber was cyan during the Mandalorian Wars? I think we should change her "Equipment" section to say that pre-Exile, she had a cyan, while post-exile, it was blue.--ARC Commander Colt 02:30, January 31, 2012 (UTC)

I agree. Cyan is Green/Blue and Revan would certainly had described it *cyan* if it would have been. BlasterS33 15:58, January 31, 2012 (UTC)

Meetra Surik was a Jedi Master[]

Revan has been published and we now have a fuller understanding of Meetra Surik. We should finally recognize her as a Jedi Master. When we eventually meet her character for the first time in Part Two of Revan, which takes place shortly after KotOR 2, she is wearing Jedi Master robes—obviously indicative of her choice to assume that title for herself and to train her party members as Jedi. But in addition to this subjective interpretation, it has been confirmed to me by email correspondence with Drew Karpyshyn that both she and Revan "were clearly Jedi Masters based on their accomplishments, and I'm sure at some point they would have been recognized by the Order as such." So there we have it: Meetra Surik was indeed a Jedi Master. I think it only right that we soon edit the page to reflect this fact more conclusively.--Master Dakari 04:39, February 10, 2012 (UTC)

  • Since there have been no objections—and this, being a week after my initial suggestion—I have gone ahead and made the few appropriate changes to the article.--Master Dakari 01:51, February 17, 2012 (UTC)

New Image?[]

I noticed that there now is a new picture of Meetra Surik under the subheading "300 Years Later" that shows what she looked like while alive. I just want to know what cutscene does that come from. Could anyone direct me to this? Sith1 13:15, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

Click on the image details, that info is required for an upload. — DigiFluid(Whine here) 13:18, May 18, 2012 (UTC)
Such image details aren't actually required for an upload, the only description necessary is the name of the subject, and it's source. Which we already knew. Alexsau1991 (talk page) Goddammit.svg 12:56, May 20, 2012 (UTC)
I took the question to mean where, generally it was coming from (ie: TOR). Guess I missed/mistook the 'cutscene' part of it. *shrug* — DigiFluid(Whine here) 16:35, May 20, 2012 (UTC)
  • Can we make that new image the main image? I like it better then the current one. Can we vote?--Jet Twilights 21:12, May 18, 2012 (UTC)

Make a new image vote and see what they say. DarthRevan1173 12:25, May 20, 2012 (UTC)

A vote on the main image has already taken place. My guess is another vote would yield the same result. Alexsau1991 (talk page) Goddammit.svg 12:56, May 20, 2012 (UTC)

That was because the image was of her as a ghost and you couldn't see her face clearly in this image

Meetra Surik.jpg

you can.-- DarthRevan1173 13:00, May 20, 2012 (UTC)

It's not actually clear where that image comes from in TOR, and unless it's a flashback (which I seriously doubt) it is still a ghost, as the subject in question is long dead. Alexsau1991 (talk page) Goddammit.svg 13:06, May 20, 2012 (UTC)
In fact, I just noticed that you upload it. Could you tell us where it comes from, which Flashpoint. Alexsau1991 (talk page) Goddammit.svg 13:07, May 20, 2012 (UTC)

I couldn't actually tell you. I don't have a comp at the moment that can play the game. I found it on the TOR wiki and uploaded it here since this wiki doesn't have an actual face of her. It didn't saw which Flashpoint in the game it came from, just that it came from the game. DarthRevan1173

Don't worry, I checked and it comes from a codex called the 'Jedi Entity', the description is of the Force ghost rather than the individual, so I would assume more or less the same for the image. Alexsau1991 (talk page) Goddammit.svg 13:17, May 20, 2012 (UTC)

FWIW, I think this is a great option for a new image, whether it's actually a Force Ghost or not. It looks like a living image of the character, and is both more recent and less horrid than the current main image. It's worth a discussion at least, IMO. — DigiFluid(Whine here) 16:35, May 20, 2012 (UTC)

  • Oh! Glad I thought of it then! lol--Jet Twilights 19:28, May 20, 2012 (UTC)
    • While this is a clearly a non-ghostified image of the Jedi Entity character model (just compare it to this one), it still wouldn't really be appropriate for the infobox. The dimensions and quality of this image are not up to par. For now, the current infobox image will suffice. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 19:49, May 20, 2012 (UTC)
      • WHAT!?! Now your just being nit picky. The quality of this image is WAY better then the crappy sketch we have for a inbox picture. I say we let the people decide. You know, like a democracy.--Jet Twilights 20:13, May 20, 2012 (UTC)
        • I agree with Trayus, the image is very low res; it visibly pixelated at the dimensions it's been upload at, which clearly isn't the original size. Whilst the current infobox picture isn't perfect, it's certainly better quality than the proposed image, which also has issues regarding it's possible Force ghost status. Personally I think it's fine, apart from having no colour, it's no different from a comic book image. Alexsau1991 (talk page) Goddammit.svg 20:26, May 20, 2012 (UTC)

(Reseting indent) - On the contrary there are strict rules, they just aren't enforced. I use to be an admin on TOR Wiki and participated in drawing up the rules and guidelines on images that weren't dissimilar to Wookiepeedia's. Most of SWTOR Wiki's regular contributors left for the wiki hosted by curse, due to issues with Wikia, so it's fairly unregulated. Alexsau1991 (talk page) Goddammit.svg 01:00, May 21, 2012 (UTC)

  • I stand corrected then. I'll go play SWTOR now, then cry myself to sleep, go to school, rinse repeat. This isn't that important to me anyways. lol--Jet Twilights 02:27, May 24, 2012 (UTC)

I don't understand why this picture is put on Wookieepedia, she's presented with white hair but it's established in Drew Karpyshin' novel "REVAN" that Meetra Surik had BROWN hair..

Will expand on the power and abilities section, some of the Exile's finer moments and feats seem unspoken. MasterOfEnlightenment (talk) 18:08, September 17, 2012 (UTC)

Updated relevant information with 'SWTOR: Revan's new information.

  • Your edits were reverted because of grammatical errors, run-on sentences, unsourced info, and the removal of sourced info. Cade Calrayn StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg 19:52, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
    • Then perhaps you should update the page, as it is way behind and factually incorrect due to both the 'Revan' novel and the SWTOR Encyclopedia. MasterOfEnlightenment (talk) 11:47, November 4, 2012 (UTC)

Can we please have an update to this page? There are now three sources with updated information and her personality + powers and abilities pages are lacking as well, I would do so myself but apparently my editing wasn't deemed 'neutral' or professional enough, despite being written in the same vein as the Revan page is, which by the way is filled with "he's awesome" statements, not exactly neutral either. Apprentices section[]

It states Mical as an informal apprentice, but the article states that he was her "prospective Padawan", so how correct is it to call him "informal", if she was supposed to, and did, train him in the end?--Shioroi (talk) 21:36, June 4, 2013 (UTC)

  • It's completely correct. As it says in the article itself, Mical was her prospective padawan, but then she left for the war. Later on, during the events of KOTOR II, he was her informal apprentice. Trip391 (talk) 22:52, June 4, 2013 (UTC)
    • that's just what I'm saying, if he was her prospective padawan, that means she already had clearance to train him, so it means he isn't informal if she does teach him, now or later...

K2 Canon Portrait[]

Canonically, Meetra is a fair skinned, brown haired, blue eyed woman. Only one portrait matches that. Albeit the hair is leaning towards the blonde and the eyes towards the blue-gray color. Can we make the conclusion that this render is our canon Meetra per previous precedent set by Revan and Jaden Korr? --Ice Bucket(Talk) 23:45, June 22, 2013 (UTC)

Well, I think we definitely need to do something to keep this article up to par with Revan's...whatever head we choose is fine, but we need to get as many screenshots from KOTOR2 as we did from KOTOR.--ARC Commander Colt (talk) 02:41, June 23, 2013 (UTC)
Well, we can't "just pick" a portrait. It has to be backed up by other sources. I'm asking because for all I know, this portrait might not even be close enough for Wookieepedia standards. --Ice Bucket(Talk) 16:54, June 23, 2013 (UTC)

Canonical Class??[]

A lot of searches come up for the phrase "meetra surik" with a following addition of "canon class", so it would seem that a lot of people at one point or another after the release of The Old Republic were looking to copy a canonical interpretation of Surik and replay KotOR2 as the real deal.

From what I have gathered, it would seem that Surik was highly attenuated with the Force and followed the path of the Consular, and that it was only until nearing the end of KotOR 2 that she decided to become a Jedi Master herself.

Based on that info, I could create a canonical class in the forums, but until then, does anyone question what class Surik was, and if they do, what evidence beholds this?

--JederCoulious (talk) 17:16, February 4, 2014 (UTC)JederCoulious

There is no canon class as of yet. There is no proof of her being a Consular, even if she was highly attenuated with the Force, some Jedi like Anakin Skywalker were highly gifted in the force and were Jedi Guardians. If they ever do tell her class it might be in a future novel or in-game of Swtor in the future but as of now, there is no canon class unless I missed something. Also, they would probably have already posted it here if there was so it is very unlikely that there is one as of now. --BlasterS33 (talk) 17:59, February 4, 2014 (UTC)

If you've ever played KotOR, (either of the two) the way the game plays out is based on how the player character's class is built. Given this, Force powers are restricted by certain items that would otherwise be available to Guardians and Sentinels, and Consulars have a full array of Force powers, meaning that Surik's class is likely a Consular's.

Understanding this takes having played the game, but even at that, the simple conclusion that I have reached is that Surik, who has a number of confirmed Force abilities, could only use them as a Consular and not as a Guardian or Sentinel, as she could not worn armor and carried items that would have restricted her use of the Force. At any rate, though, any canonical class could indeed be confirmed for Surik at any point, so I do not offer my evidence and conclusion as unshakably concrete. --JederCoulious (talk) 19:28, February 4, 2014 (UTC)JederCoulious

I have played and finished both games many times with every classes possible and I can say that you can play as a Jedi Guardian with every "force powers" as a Jedi Consular in both games. The only difference would be the number of "force points" and "health" with other abilities having less or more points to spend in and the rate of learning "feats" and force abilities. But you could clearly play a Jedi Guardian Meetra Surik and have various force abilities to play with. For example: I used a Revan in Kotor 1 he was a Soldier/Jedi Guardian with force lightning, yet I almost never used him as a lightsaber attacker, more like a lightning user like "Darth Sidious". The classes in the game don't restrict the player to play any way you want to.--BlasterS33 (talk) 20:07, February 4, 2014 (UTC)

In typing a response to this furthering the Consular theory I have, it occurred to me that perhaps Surik pursued the path of Kavar, beginning as a Guardian but becoming a Master, though this would be unlikely in comparison to a Consular becoming a Master. Since the Master prestige class is not restricted to a specific class with enough influence on Kreia, it could be that an unorthodox albeit possible path came off it. Maybe if I thought out a tree for both scenarios, a highly plausible class could come out of it.

EDIT: As long as a Guardian class can get the basic levels of the powers confirmed to be used by Surik canonically, then my theory would be null.

EDIT: It can be done, though a character would need to be in the high 20s as far as levels go to do it. Perhaps soon I can embed a link to the SW:KOTOR/TOR forums with a class showing a possible build.

Sequence of planets[]

What is the proper sequence of planets that Meetra Surik visited? There are more than a few articles that contradict each other.--Nostalgia of Iran (talk) 18:24, July 11, 2014 (UTC)

one question[]

one question now that kotor and TOR are not canon anymore,it can be restored to genderless and 'Jedi Exile'? since Disney has declared that the EU longer are

under the normal canon when in 'Legends'

--Arbiteras (talk) 21:53, August 4, 2014 (UTC)

  • No. Everything that has been revealed about the Jedi Exile, including her name and gender, falls under Star Wars Legends. The Jedi Exile's entire existence and all information about her is Legends, not Canon.--Richterbelmont10 R2 sig.jpg(come in R2!) 22:06, August 4, 2014 (UTC)

Why is it that we have the art/drawing of Meetra as the main picture as opposed to her appearance in SWTOR? I know she appears as a ghost, but the picture appears to be far more physically descriptive.

Darth Ravigious (talk) 16:02, November 17, 2014 (UTC)

  • Maybe it's because she's more good-looking in the drawing? Seriously, the TOR rendition is fugly...Then again, that's just my guess--Fekyu 14:01, May 8, 2015 (UTC)

Just to clarify[]

Where did this pic come from anyway? JediExileHanddrawn.JPG--Fekyu 14:03, May 8, 2015 (UTC)

In "The Old Republic: Revan" it's stated that Revan and the Emperor "were physically separated by a dozen parsecs". It's also stated that Meetra Surik's spirit "had remained with Revan, an invisible presence hovering just outside his cell". Since the Emperor was in Dromund Kaas they had to be 12 parsecs away.

One could assume she was also in Maelstrom Prison (a space station at the heart of the remote Maelstrom Nebula.)

How was the decision made to change the Jedi Exile character into Meetra Surik?[]

Do we have any information on how it was decided that the Jedi Exile was to be canonised as "Meetra Surik"? Was it Bioware in their work before TOR?

For such a controversial change there doesn't seem to be any information as to how this decision came about. Maybe there isn't any information for us to record here, but if there is I think it would be helpful to have it on this talk page.

I for one dislike the change. It doesn't seem to fit with the way Obsidian created the character in the first place and it wouldn't surprise me if a different group of writers than who came up with the character decided to change it to Meetra Surik. I'll always think of the character as the Jedi Exile, and I tend regard other companies retconning things later with a high degree of cynicism.

So, do we have any information on how this decision was made? I am aware that the change has been canonised in several forms of media, but the question remains.

  • She's female, get over it. Mike Zimbouski (talk) 21:49, December 12, 2016 (UTC)
    • Personally, I agree with Tikalal, Karpyshyn is a terrible writer, he ruined the Exile for everyone. Now whose decision it was to turn her into Meetra Surik, I really cannot say. Most likely his, since he works for Bioware and Bioware hated Obsidian for making a better game. As to the Exile being female, I have no problem.--Corbul (talk) 16:41, September 18, 2017 (UTC)

Informal masters[]

Shouldn't Vrook technically be on the list too? When you meet him in K2, he's very lecturing, and he later does teach the Exile a saber\ force form. If not, then how come Zez-Kai Ell is on the list?--Corbul (talk) 16:50, September 18, 2017 (UTC)

Behind the scenes (suggest edit to Jedi Guardian mention by Kavar)[]

Re: "...Kavar told Surik that he tried to convince her to become a Jedi Guardian like he was, saying that they could have used someone like her."

If the player chose Guardian to be Surik's starting Jedi class, Kavar says, "And you even became a Guardian. I had hoped I could train you to eventually replace me. You have such potential." Kavar says "I even tried to convince you to become a Jedi Guardian. We could've used someone like you" only if the player chose Sentinel or Consular as Surik's starting Jedi class. If Surik's Jedi class has been canonically established elsewhere (e.g. in The Old Republic MMORPG) and she is definitively not a Guardian, then disregard this, but the article suggests that no class determination has subsequently been made (the exact phrasing in the article is "Surik's Jedi class is as of yet unknown"). If Surik's Jedi class remains unknown, consider removing the current Kavar Guardian mention, or rephrasing it to indicate that what Kavar says depends on the starting Jedi class chosen by the player.

Edit: I just read through the archives (https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Talk:Meetra_Surik/Archive7#Jedi_Guardian), and perhaps I'm getting different options due to TSLRCM fixing a bug. I haven't played vanilla KotOR II in years. Unsigned comment by Antiparticle (talk • contribs).
