Was Neimoidia attacked and occupied by the Yuuzhan Vong during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion? ,What about the other Neimoidian planets (Cato Neimoidia, Deko Neimoidia and Koru Neimoidia)?

Revision as of 22:09, 28 December 2013

I find this troubling. The article says Neimoidia was located in the Colonies but that it was located between Kuat and Corellia, clearly two Core Worlds. Anyone have an opinion on this? -- Riffsyphon1024 17:21, 10 Aug 2005 (UTC)

  • I believe the Neimoidian homeworld (Neimoidia) is in fact a Core World, but its three colony planets are in the Colonies region. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 19:52, 10 Aug 2005 (UTC)
  • IIRC, Inside the Worlds of Star Wars Episode I states that it is in the Colonies Region. I don't recall any mention of Corellia, although it does state that a relatively short distance from Kuat. --SparqMan 21:47, 10 Aug 2005 (UTC)
    • But I have pletty of official Star Wars galaxy maps which all show Neimoidia in the Core Worlds region. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 00:16, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
      • Which ones? The Star Wars Gamer 5 and Star Wars Insider 65 maps all place it in the Colonies. jSarek 01:22, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
        • As I looked closer on one of my maps, it shows that Neimoidia is almost on the border of the Core Worlds/Colonies Regions. But I've also read that Neimoidia is in fact a Core World. I will check on the sources later on to clarify where in fact Neimoidia is. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 11:55, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
          • I guess this is like Tapani Sector, traditionally Core World but in the Colonies. -- Riffsyphon1024 16:37, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
            • Why not just have it say "Core Worlds/Colonies Regions" since its exact location in the galaxy is unknown. It would a similar case to that of the Tapani Sector, as Riffsyphon stated. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 22:49, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
              • However this would create a dispute on the pages for Core Worlds and Colonies. -- Riffsyphon1024 23:09, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
                • Well, then, if we can't find Neimoidia's actual location, we should go with the majority. For instance, if the majority of the information says it's in the Core Worlds region, that's where we'll put it. If the majority says the Colonies, put it in the Colonies. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 12:00, 12 Aug 2005 (UTC)
                  • Also, jSarek, you're wrong on one thing. The Star Wars Insider 65 galaxy map places Neimoidia in the Core Worlds region. I don't know about the Star Wars Gamer 5 map, but the Insider 65 map clearly shows the Neimoidian homeworld in the Core Worlds. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 14:08, 12 Aug 2005 (UTC)
                    • Umm, no, I'm not; look at your Insider 65 map again. It's quite clearly in the Colonies, between (and slightly corward of) Balmorra and Commenor. It's position is close to the border, but very, very clearly in the Colonies. The New Essential Chronology also uses this location. jSarek 06:21, 29 Oct 2005 (UTC)
                • Actually, it seems to be in the Colonies on the border of the Core Worlds. -- SFH 03:38, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)
                  • Not in the Insider 65 map. It's between two trade routes, clearly in the Core Worlds. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 19:17, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)
                    • The Insider map has been known to misplace certain planets, as shown by Carty who matched it up with other official maps and literature. -- Riffsyphon1024 02:54, 2 Sep 2005 (UTC)
                      • Well, with the recent information from The New Essential Chronology, the planet is clearly in the Colonies. And jSarek, I don't know if there were two types of the map printed, but mine showed Neimoidia in the Core Worlds. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 11:56, 29 Oct 2005 (UTC)
                        • If your copy shows it in the Core Worlds, then there must have been two maps; my copy looks like this one. jSarek 12:10, 29 Oct 2005 (UTC)
                          • Well, that's not the map I have. I got mine off of the Internet, and it said that it was from Star Wars Insider 65. So, I guess I just have a fan-made version of it here. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 14:36, 29 Oct 2005 (UTC)
                              • Galaxymap3

He means this map. It shows Nemodia to be in the Core Worlds.
