Appereance[edit source]

Could anyone tell me when is it that a Prophet of the Dark Side appears on Episode IV? Gonzalo84

  • The Prophet Sariss has recently been revealed to be the same person as The Prophetess, a character seen in the background on Tatooine. jSarek 07:28, 25 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Emperor's Mage/Hand Difference[edit source]

Whoa, whoa, whoa . . . when did PDS and Emperor's Hand become synonymous? They had two distinctly different roles; hands were extensions of the Emperor's will, acting out his desires where needed. The Prophets probed the depths of the Dark Side for knowledge and insight, and reported their findings to the Emperor. Though their jobs certainly shared a certain overlap, unless there's direct evidence to say they became the same thing, I think calling them interchangable is a gross overstep. jSarek 09:21, 22 Jul 2005 (UTC)

  • I agree with JSarek. QuentinGeorge 10:23, 22 Jul 2005 (UTC)
    • Sorry, that was a typo. PoDS and Emperor's HAND are not synonymous. I meant to put Emperor's MAGE (a term coined in NEGC). I fixed it:)
      • Please do not change "Dark Force cult" to "Dark Side ult". Dark Force IS the correct terminology for the Prophets' religion.

Secret Order Emperor's Hand vs. Palpatine's Emperor's Hand[edit source]

So... is Emperor's Hand a rank within the Secret Order like Reach, Eye or Voice?... or is that a typo???--Gonzalo84 05:03, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Merge[edit source]

This and Emperor's Mage should really be merged, since one became the other (ie, Emperor's Mages is just a new name for Prophet of the Dark Side)). If so, the combined article should be here. QuentinGeorge 11:16, 1 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Abel's approval[edit source]

Can we get a link to the TFN board with Abel's comments? --SparqMan 20:18, 6 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Demise?[edit source]

Are the Prophets all dead? It's not mentioned, so I assume no, but Azrakel and Lumiya seem to have exterminated a large portion of them. Cull Tremayne 23:37, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Databank[edit source]

What entries reference the Prophets? --Eyrezer 09:18, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Article name[edit source]

Shouldn't this article be called "Secret Order of the Emperor"?... it¡s more fitting considering "Prophet of the Dark Side" sounds more like a rank, and not all the members of the Order were Prophets (Mareke Stele, Sariss, Azrakel)--Gonzalo84 15:47, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Appereance and Introduction Questions[edit source]

1) Why are the Dark Acolytes in the Star Wars Tales #9 story "Resurrection" referred to as Prophets of the Dark Side? I never noticed anything in the story saying they were Prophets. Is there a source somewhere that says these "Dark Acolytes" are Prophets?

2) Also, the introduction includes the following: "They were founded by a renegade Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Millennial, and hence can be considered a splinter-faction of the Order of the Sith Lords."

Is there a source for that? In "Jedi vs Sith", it's said that Millennial created his own, new religion, the Dark Force, which was based on his Sith teachings and theories of early and pre-Republic thinkers. How can this be considered a splinter-faction of the Order of the Sith Lords, especially considering that the Order of the Sith Lords refers to Banite Sith, and Millenial eschewed the Rule of Two and thus the Order of the Sith Lords? He preferred the Rule of the Strong, which supposedly lead to his split with Cognus. Red Heathen (talk) 06:17, February 9, 2017 (UTC)
