I was just rereading Children of the Jedi for the first time in ages, and I came across a reference that Luke and Leia may have learned this ability, or at least one very similar to it. On page 165 of the hardcover, when Irek Ismaren controls Artoo and forces him to attack them, Leia uses the Force to light the candles in her and Han's room, and notes that Luke taught her how to do so. Used to kill Pax Teem Edit

Can we really assume that Palps used pyrokinesis to kill Pax Teem? The Sith do have a similar power called Convection. --LelalMekha (talk) 08:43, August 16, 2012 (UTC)

  • Convection causes skin to generate heat that is passed through touch. Heat is energy in transit from one body to another, not fire. That power setting people on fire comes from transferring enough heat through touch to ignite them. The passage from Darth Plagueis says "Sidious beckoned the flames with his fingers, encouraging them to leap from the table to the curtains," demonstrating that he created the flame himself before he lit the curtain, so it was pyrokinesis.
