Unlike their Imperial counterparts, Rebel pilots share little in common. Currently this article isn't much of anything. What can we put in here? Otherwise, I suggest splitting to pilot and Starfighter Command. --SparqMan 18:34, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

  • Well, either way, we'll have to redirect Rebel pilot somewhere, since they're one of the units in Star Wars Battlefront II, and people will search for it. (I'll also note that Starfighter Command is currently an article on the New Republic-era pilots, and this article currently applies to speeder and freighter pilots as well.) This could use a section on training, equipment, and vehicles though. — Silly Dan 21:14, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

A-wing Pilot Helmet Edit

Why does it show a Y-wing pilot helmet as an A-wing Pilot Helmet. Semith 21:11, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

  • It is described as an A-Wing pilots helmet in Star Wars: Chronicles -- Volemlock 21:38, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
    • Then how come Y-wing pilots wore them and A-wing pilots wore a lighter helmet in the films? Wouldn't the films overrule that? Before the battle, Grey leader Horton_Salm reports in wearing this style helmet. Unlike all the others, he report in with a sideview shot, you can clearly see the cockpit is a Y-wing cockpit. Later, another pilot Gray_Four wearing the same style helmet but with different decals screams "I'm hit" followed an external shot of TIEs shooting a Y-wing that crashes into a Star Destroyer. Both wear this helmet and both are clearly in Y-wings. All the other A-wing pilots wear a different helmet that doesn't cover the mouth and chin area. Compare the image to Arvel Crynyd. See the difference in shape and design? And you can see the A-wings fins from inside, so there is no doubt thats an A-wing. Semith 03:25, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

I did what I could, but this article needs a lot of work—general expansion and more sources. Also, aren't galleries illegal, and would Corran Horn be a "Rebel pilot" or a "New Republic pilot" ? Corellian PremierRobotechAll along the watchtower 21:24, May 2, 2012 (UTC)

Other squadrons founded during the Galactic Civil War were Rogue Squadron, Nomad Squadron and Dagger Squadron. Of these, Rogue Squadron was founded shortly after the Battle of Yavin.
