I do not think it means what you think it means.[]

This page refers to Roodown as a strongback, which is clearly inaccurate. I presume the intent here is something like "manual laborer"? Asithol (talk) 16:19, November 2, 2016 (UTC)

  • The Visual Dictionary does call him a "for-hire strong back," though I assume spelling it in one word rather than two changes the meaning. --LelalMekha (talk) 17:02, November 2, 2016 (UTC)
    • Yes, multiple dictionaries concur that the one-word form has a specialized meaning that only applies to objects (unfortunately, the unabridged Merriam-Webster and the OED are available online only behind paywalls, so I can't link to them). The Visual Dictionary phrasing is understandable but a little unorthodox in that context—you typically hear of people having a strong back, not being one. A more conventional phrasing might be better for the article. Asithol (talk) 05:21, November 3, 2016 (UTC)

Conflicting Sources?[]

Roodown's most recent appearance in episode 1 of Andor shows him with his mechanical arms already equipped in 5 BBY. I'm not very familiar with Roodown's backstory, but according to this article, his arms were cut off by Unkar Plutt as punishment. When did this happen? For now, until somebody more knowledgeable corrects me, I'll put his appearance in Andor as occurring after his punishment by Unkar, but if this doesn't match up, the series seems to conflict some previous information. • Hi EthSch13, I don't think there's enough evidence to say that the character in Andor is Roodown as opposed to a simple costume reuse, especially since there are alterations to the costume. Ayrehead02 (talk) 16:12, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Could be, that's definitely a possibility. I disagree, it seemed to me like an intentional character inclusion, but until we get further confirmation from something like the databank, or some input from other editors, I'm good with keeping your explanation as the assumption.
