Debated canon?Edit

No, it is not debated, it is SURE that Rookie One is a non-canon character - TopAce 20:47, 26 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • Hmmmm... I am not as sure as you MoffRebus 22:06, 26 Dec 2005 (UTC)
    • Actually Rookiee One is totally C-Canon, as Rebel Assault II is a totally C-Canon source. Tam 16:35, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
      • I agree MoffRebus 23:32, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
        • In my mind, I've always though of the first Rebel Assault as some sort of alternate reality (in the same way as the Infinities comics) so, as a completely non-canon story (except his encounter with Ru Murleen, maybe), but on the contrary, I've always though about Rebel Assault II as a completely canon story. I don't know what's the actual status for this article, but I've often imagined that the first Rebel Assault could be, in fact, Rookie One's training in combat simulator, reproducing the most famous Rebel battles as exercices, this training taking place after TESB. I know it's not an "official" explanation, but what do you think of that theory? Kaal-Jhyy
          • i would rather say that only some parts of the first game is canon (S-Canon signifies that parts of the story is non-canon but others is canon)after all its been adopted that Rookie One participated in Battle of Yavin but did NOT shoot the thermal exhaust port (ok he may have shoot it but did not score a bull-eye), and anyway Rebel Assault II has been adopted as C-Canon and the first game as S-Canon... Rookie_One 18:16, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
      • Can we remove the canonicity dispute sign from the page? --Challenger STA 18:39, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
        • How come its not done?????Rookie_One 18:40, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

OK, now what, I added some Hoth-related stuff in his bio, all explained in the BtS section. I'd like your oppinions. There is a canon-warning at the top of the article anyway MoffRebus 02:22, 7 Jan 2006 (UTC)

  • I don't see why the Hoth thing is a conflict. I don't recall them ever stating that it was Hoth. The rebel base on the ice planet in Rebel Assault could be on an entirely different ice planet althogether. Although it is obviously intended to remind players of the Empire Strikes Back, I do not think it is meant to be the same thing. This is supported by the fact that the base is called "Gamma Base", and not "Echo Base", as the Rebel Base in the Empire Strikes is called. Obviously, the Death Star attack levels conflict with the movies, but I don't think you can say that the Ice Planet levels do. I always belived that the Ice Planet Base in Rebel Assault took place on an entirely different planet for the reasons stated above. For those reasons, I think anything in the article pertaning to Hoth needs to be severely modified.
    • The manual states it IS Hoth. Since we cannot accept it, we have to dismiss either the time, or the name. MoffRebus 20:08, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
      • Perhaps Gamma Base was the nickname or codename for an Echo Station? Crowe 3 March 2006
        • Everything is possible. MoffRebus 21:40, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I'm not very good at Wikipedia editing as I haven't done in awhile but I'd like to add to this. In the Instant Action mode of the Mos Eisley stage in the first Star Wars Battlefront game, if the Imperials capture the Sail Barge command post a lone AT-ST will be spawned from the base in a nodding reference to Rebel Strike. I'm not sure if this should be counted as a more canon way to fit the AT-ST/Mos Eisley Skirmish in, but it's better than discounting it....

  • Nice idea, but Instant Action levels are non-canon, so anything presented there isn't official - Kwenn 16:18, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Too much speculation and opinionEdit

The "non-canonical bio" section seems to be filled with too much speculation and personal opinion. It should be edited. --JMM 15:42, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

The last section is disturbingly devoid of pics. Pics from RA II have been uploaded on Wookieepedia, are used in other articles and could be easily used here. I would do this myself if it weren't for the 'working' tag on the article's top. Should I proceed with pics or Greententacle will do it?

Also a request: Would be nice if one could upload a pic of the female Rookiee One. MoffRebus 07:53, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

  • If the in use tag is on's in use. Basically, it means, have faith in the editor who put the tag there. Thefourdotelipsis 08:22, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
    • I'll hopefully be getting to pictures tonight or tomorrow, and yes there will be a female Rookie One. Green Tentacle (Talk) 17:26, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Battle of HothEdit

I propose that the Gamma base section be moved after the Battle of Yavin. Of course the scenario has it in the first game but it's canonically wrong. If we have the sections in the 'wrong' order, the article is non-canon. So we either copyedit the order, or we suppose that the first game presents an early battle (say, Battle of Gamma Base. MoffRebus 13:56, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

  • It's not the Battle of Hoth and nothing has ever said it is. Neither has anything ever said it's non-canon. The article follows your last suggestion, that it is a different battle before ESB. If you want to make an article on it, it should probably have one. Though why the Rebels were dumb enough to go back there is another matter. :P Green Tentacle (Talk) 14:01, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

"Rookiee One's tench run in non-continuity. [sic]". What the heck does this mean? Is it supposed to be "Rookie One's tench run is non-continuity", and the sentence just happens to have 3 spelling errors? If so, change it. Hobbes15(Tiger Headquarters) 06:35, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

  • It is supposed to be "Rookie One's trench run is non-continuity" and is just full of errors. However, we can't change it since it's a quote, hence the [sic]. Green Tentacle (Talk) 18:33, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
    • Or we can just paraphrase instead of quote. jSarek 19:32, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

problem concerning an imageEdit

a change that i made about the text below an image (it was inscribed that it was a picture showing Rookie One in a R22 Cockpit, when in fact its in a T-65 X-Wing cockpit since i dont remember since the R-22 had a cockpit that look angular like that)was reverted, someone can tell me why? 14:41, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

  • It was reverted because you were wrong. The picture is of Rookie One in an R-22 Spearhead cockpit. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 15:53, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
    • Like Jaymach said, the cutscene this was taken from is of him in an R-22. Green Tentacle (Talk) 16:16, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
      • in fact i looked at the cutscene (i have teh game) and the cockipt from that PoV is the same wether its a X-Wing or a R-22, its probably because the majority of the time in space in the game is in a X-Wing Rookie_One 17:47, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
      • here a picture of him in a X-Wing on tatooine, compare : http://img85.( image shack dot U S )/img85/7893/ Rookie_One 17:57, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
  • The guy is right. It's a mistake on the game's behalf. The R-22's cockpit should be different MoffRebus 23:57, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
    • should i change it then? Rookie_One 01:33, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
      • Not yet. Plot-wise, it's always an R-22 A-wing. I'd like to hear more opinions on this. MoffRebus 10:39, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
  • Um, maybe this is sort of ignoring the problem, but why even mention what's he's flying in in that caption? How about "Rookie One at the controls of a Rebel fighter" or something? :) --JMM 18:38, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

The BtS section says that the male option of RA triggers some flirt from Ru Murleen. I have played the game both as male and female and haven't noticed anything like this. Can anyone specify at what point flirting is seen or heard 19:20, December 7, 2011 (UTC)

  • That was added last year, but I can't find anything either. Removed. Green Tentacle (Talk) 20:50, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
