This begs another question... according to the page, they were exiled Sith Mages, so is it safe to assume that the Sorcerors of Tund are some sort of Sith (species) descendants? Finally killed off around 5 BBY no less... any explanations here?

Is this even canon? Smells like fanon to me. --Kuralyov 02:33, 16 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Don't know how much of the information on that webpage is canon, but the Sorcerers are canon. --Rokur Gepta was in The Adventures of Lando Calrissian and Adler Roty appeared in HoloNet News. — Silly Dan 02:37, 16 Sep 2005 (UTC)
The information and text is copied straight from the Dark Side Sourcebook. It's all canon. --Maru 07:07, 30 Oct 2005 (UTC)

I'll expand it... Edit

...But where do you get this "hatred of the Jedi?" From what I've seen they were neutral. Thanos6 06:00, 29 Nov 2005 (UTC)

  • I admittedly extrapolated it a bit, but we know they regarded Jedi powers as mere "magic", and given Gepta's general disposition, I'd say it's a logical assumption that they would've resented them quite a bit. Just my POV, anyway, you can take it out if you want. CooperTFN 06:04, 29 Nov 2005 (UTC)
    • We know that Gepta was just a sick evil bastard...I think the Chronology and/or the Dark Side Sourcebook say that the Jedi poked around them a few times, and while the Tundians might have found them irritating, it was in a "shoo, you're bothering me" kind of way as opposed to a Sith-like venomous hatred. Just my interpretation, though. Thanos6 06:06, 29 Nov 2005 (UTC)
      • Hey, I needed to make them notable for something. =) CooperTFN 06:08, 29 Nov 2005 (UTC)
      • I was just flipping through the NEC, and it said Gepta was a student of "ancient Sith techniques". You know anything about that? Unless it was something he studied separately, I'd say that resolves the Jedi issue. CooperTFN 20:25, 29 Nov 2005 (UTC)
    • Maybe he and Palpatine had a nice study abroad program. --SparqMan 20:51, 29 Nov 2005 (UTC)
      • And the Sith, in turn, were based off the Jedi. I know one of the books (I can't remember which one right off the top of my head) said that the Jedi tried to absorb the Sorcerers, but when they realized they weren't going to join, decided to just make sure they didn't go darkside. As the Jedi never acted, I can only presume that whatever Sith teachings they were based off of, they weren't dark. Odd, but there you go. Thanos6 15:59, 5 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide Edit

We now have contradicting information on the Sorcerers of Tund. The previous view was that they had a basis in ancient Sith texts, but they were not dark side. The KotOR Campaign Guide, in a section probably written by Abel, says the "last bulwark of Sith mages remains among the Sorcerers of Tund", and calls them "conjurers of mind-pulverizing illusions and perpetrators of hellish transmogrifications, capabale of incredible thaumaturgy." So this kind of begs the question... were they a relatively harmless, contained Force sect, or a dark side Sith-influenced cult kept contained by the Jedi, given their relaitve isolationism? I both love and hate Abel right now. Jedi Master Randy Starkiller 15:56, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
