Move the page?[]

Should we move this page to "Ghost crew," which is what they're called by Commander Sato in The Siege of Lothal? This is an official, canon name for the group, as opposed to "Lothal rebels" which they have never been called in canon. Cevan (talk) 03:42, June 21, 2015 (UTC)

  • I think we should. Though of note, they are also called "Ghost team". I think this is a better name for them if we're going to start using it in articles. I can't see any in-universe reason why one should be favored over the other, and I think "Ghost team" sounds much less awkward for when we start using it in articles. Compare "Ghost team blew up a TIE Fighter." vs "Ghost crew blew up a TIE Fighter." Also, not sure what capitalization is appropriate. Perhaps "Ghost Team" is better? I'm not sure. Tomari7 (talk) 09:49, June 21, 2015 (UTC)
    • Definitely no capitalization, that's ugly anyway. But episode guide here calls them "Ghost crew", per: "The Ghost crew has connected with other rebel cells." However, they are stilled called "rebels" as well, per episode gallery here, as "the rebels", which is perhaps referring to the entire group of rebel cells. Quote: "Tua knows her life is in danger, and desperately contacts the rebels for help." Then, they are called "Ghost team" in same gallery (image 28), but then image 31 calls them "the rebels" again, yet this time it's just the Ghost team, not the whole fleet, so we know the show is officially referring to them specifically as "the rebels". The point of all this... I think while Ghost team and Ghost crew works as a way to refer to them, they are still the rebels from Lothal, aka the current page title. If they lose their ship someday, they'll still be the rebels, but not the Ghost crew. Just some info to go by before making any changes. Squishy Vic | message 12:59, June 21, 2015 (UTC)
      • They seemingly cut their ties with Lothal in order to protect it in the episode, so I think a move would be appropriate. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 15:51, June 21, 2015 (UTC)
        • I'd advise waiting until more Season Two material is released before making any page moves. The group's name will likely be addressed in future material—if not in subsequent episodes, then in following Databank entries, hopefully. Let's be patient and wait to see how their name is addressed in canon material. CC7567 (talk) 16:09, June 21, 2015 (UTC)
          • Per CC. Databank entries, including last night's, still say "the Lothal rebels." - Brandon Rhea(talk) 17:43, June 21, 2015 (UTC)
          • Agree with CC to leave the page here for now. They are called "Lothal rebels" in 3-4 Databank entries, which are Canon.--Richterbelmont10 (come in R2!) 04:06, June 22, 2015 (UTC)
            • Servants of the Empire: The Secret Academy gives us another name for them: "the Spectres." ProfessorTofty (talk) 02:12, October 7, 2015 (UTC)
              • I would argue they were the "Ghost crew/team" before they arrived on Lothal, making the "Lothal Rebels" moniker a bit awkward in my opinion. --SKLKNKR (talk) 02:17, October 7, 2015 (UTC)
                • I too think that "Lothal rebels" is inappropriate, since the whole group (minus Ezra) was already together before they ended up on Lothal. --LelalMekha (talk) 08:59, October 7, 2015 (UTC)
                  • Star Wars Rebels: Recon Missions now calls them the Spectre Team. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 22:19, October 8, 2015 (UTC)
                    • Not to mention that they are not even headquartered on Lothal anymore... --LelalMekha (talk) 23:18, October 8, 2015 (UTC)
                      • If we were to give the article a new name, it seems that Spectre Team is the front runner, and maybe Spectres. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 23:22, October 8, 2015 (UTC)
                        • In addition, Spectre Team is capitalized this way in the game. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 23:28, October 8, 2015 (UTC)
                          • And in Servants of the Empire: The Secret Academy, they're identified almost exclusively as the Specters. Even says at one point something like "they're team called the Specters." Nivlacanator(talk) 00:41, October 10, 2015 (UTC)
                            • I think we should move the page. From what we know about season two (and from the first episode), it seems the crew won't be on Lothal much, if at all, this season. They may have operated on Lothal all throughout the first season, and probably a bit before as well, but it seems a little odd to keep calling them the "Lothal rebels" when they probably won't go back to Lothal for quite some time, and since they're now travelling around with the rebel fleet. Cevan (talk) 02:22, October 17, 2015 (UTC)
                            • Agree with Master Cevan, I do. What to change it to, and its first identification I do not know, however. Nivlacanator(talk) 03:41, October 17, 2015 (UTC)

Additional members[]

Can't we safely say that Rex and AP-5 are now members of the Lothal rebels? --Kyle03 (talk) 14:44, March 20, 2016 (UTC)

Move the page? 2: Electric Boogaloo[]

I feel like we should bring up the issue of moving this page to a new namespace again since the previous discussion never came to a consensus. I feel like Spectres or Spectre Team are the best IU names we have been given for the group. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 04:01, October 3, 2016 (UTC)

  • I'm all for moving the page to "Spectres." It's worth noting that in Ezra's description for the upcoming Galactic Atlas, it refers to them as the "Spectre cell," which is another source using "Spectre" to refer to the group as a whole. Cevan (talk) 05:08, October 3, 2016 (UTC)
    • I tend to agree as well. It becomes increasingly weirder to call them "Lothal rebels" now that they don't have anything to do with Lothal anymore. --LelalMekha (talk) 09:11, October 3, 2016 (UTC)
      • I too am strongly in favor of moving the article. We're already calling them the "Spectres" in the Lothal article anyway. ProfessorTofty (talk) 14:11, October 4, 2016 (UTC)
        • Thanks for your feedback guys, the article now has been moved to Spectres. Feel free to go through all of the articles linking to Spectres in order to remove all references to the term "Lothal rebels" since it has never been used in any of the Canon sources. Spectre leader and callsigns[]

In Star Wars: The Rebel Files after the Action at Mustafar in the Season 1 finale, it states that Hera Syndulla received an Alliance officer's commission and was Spectre leader. Should we create articles for Spectre leader and Spectre one, Spectre two, etc?--Vitus InfinitusTalk 18:25, January 28, 2018 (UTC)

History Quote[]

I am attempting to add the following quote under the History section of the article:

It was a simple story about a boy who was lost and a girl who was broken. They fought alongside a survivor, a war veteran, and a fallen knight. I led them into battle against an evil so terrible it tried to black out the stars. We fought for each other. We fought for those who could not. But we never imagined it would end like this. — Hera Syndulla

(I would put this in official format, but see my next sentence.) Because I don't have an official FANDOM account, this keeps getting caught in the spam filter. Would somebody mind helping me with this? 2600:1700:1040:6E80:C5B7:485F:EF5E:F1C7 14:14, December 1, 2018 (UTC)
