  • If someone was about to pick up this book, could this page please be update with information about the newly added pages and characters? --Sompeetalay 09:15, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
    • These walkers didn't appear in this book for the first time. --Sompeetalay 12:30, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
      • The "first appearance" section seems a little ambigious. At the minute it's for new additions to canon first named in this book, but it could also mean new additions to this version that were not in the older versions - such as the gelagrub, the walkers, etc. Should the section be expanded with those articles, perhaps with a {{1stID)) tag for Bold and the spider? - Kwenn 18:01, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
        • Well in my opinion 'no'. I added this little section so that people could see what items have appeared in this book for the first time, anywhere in the SW universe. I think it's important we point out the new stuff in these volumes because they mostly contain old stuff and people - like ourselves - who have the original books might be doubting to get this 'update'. Perhaps we could indeed make another sub-section and name it 'Updated with ...' or something. --Sompeetalay 18:37, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
          • ...or just use the {{1stID)) tag... and besides, all of these have already appeared before; in the films. They've only been named here - Kwenn 18:41, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
          • I changed it into 'First time appearance by name in any official source'. Does that sound better?--Sompeetalay 18:52, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Images Edit

I don't know if it's just my copy, but does anyone else notice that a few images in this book are significantly darker than when they were printed in the individual visual dictionaries? Dooku in AOTC seems to be the most notable.--Lord OblivionSith holocronSith Emblem 23:02, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Yes I did seem to notice that. Star DestroyerFleet

Canon Edit

Why is this source not canon? Is there any specific content within the book that conflicts with the new canon or that has been confirmed not to be canon? --Amazingpinecone13 (talk) 22:27, January 5, 2016 (UTC)amazingpinecone13

  • When Lucasfilm made the Legends announcement, they said that all that was canon from before April 25, 2014 was Episodes I-VI and The Clone Wars. We therefore treat anything else from before that as Legends, until such time as Lucasfilm tells us otherwise. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 22:37, January 5, 2016 (UTC)

Okay thanks. Just to clarify, there's nothing in the book that is not canon, since it appears in the movies, it's just that it was not mentioned as confirmed canon material, right? Basically what I want to know is if it is a reliable source of canon information, since I don't believe that there is any information in the book that contradicts the existing continuity. Thank you, --Amazingpinecone13 (talk) 22:54, January 5, 2016 (UTC)amazingpinecone13

  • The information from the movies is canon, but this book introduces and includes information that was not in the movies such as names for background characters and other details. Because of the Canon/Legends split this new information is no longer canon. Overlordjeff (talk) 23:07, January 5, 2016 (UTC)

Different Editions Edit

Are there any differences between the 2006, 2012, and 2016 editions aside from the covers and the Darth Vader print? Zuckyd1 (talk) 23:19, September 28, 2018 (UTC)
