Animation[edit source]

Is it going to be just 2D (and half) animation series? Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).

No, it's going to be 3D. Source ShaakTi1138 (talk) 17:48, August 16, 2018 (UTC)

Continuity[edit source]

According to the article, the show is set a few years before Force Awakens. Now the trailer has Poe Dameron in it, seemingly involved with the Resistance, despite Before the Awakening saying he doesn't join until 34 ABY. Yo.-User:Fan26 (Talk) 15:50, August 17, 2018 (UTC)

  • It's likely that Before the Awakening is just being retconned (very slightly). The only bit from the book that supports the 34 ABY date for Poe's story is the epigraph saying "months before TFA." It's mostly ambiguous - Cwedin(talk) 16:17, August 17, 2018 (UTC)
    • I looked through the articles and I see none of them mention that the show is set a few years before Force Awakens. All of the ones sourced from Lucasfilm just describe it as being set prior to Force Awakens. --Kingsman28 (talk) 16:43, August 17, 2018 (UTC)
      • It was the Wookieepedia article that mentioned years, though it wasn't sourced. I fixed it up.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 16:46, August 17, 2018 (UTC)
        • So in that case we'll be treating it like it's post-BFTA, happening around the same time as the Poe Dameron comics then? Yo.-User:Fan26 (Talk) 02:16, August 18, 2018 (UTC)
      • So If you "inspect" the Resistance page on SW.Com you'll find out that Resistance is set six months before TFA making it taking place in 33 ABY. Jkirk8907 (talk) 13:21, August 19, 2018 (UTC)

Episode titles[edit source]

PremiereDate has listed the titles, which match up with ones of a forum site I added the other day. Is this an acceptable site for the titles and dates? [1] -- sulfur (talk) 02:14, September 17, 2018 (UTC)

  • I don't think so, you need something more official like maybe TV Guide, Disney Channel press release or something similar. The forum just posted the names of the episodes, without saying how they got them. PremiereDate is the same it isn't a known website or something that at least is verified on social media, that leads to the problem of how real is the information. It can end up being true, but we should wait for something that at least can be verified. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 02:55, September 17, 2018 (UTC)

Episodes Released[edit source]

With the Disney App going to be releasing the first four episodes on 10/7, what's going to be the deal with adding info to the page? Are we going to wait for them to air on Disney XD as they are released or do we have free reign to those who have the App?Jkirk8907 (talk)

  • Per policy information can be added until the episode is aired on East Coast. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 02:48, October 1, 2018 (UTC)
    • Yup. Per Wookieepedia:Spoilers policy about TV episodes, "Information may be added upon a television episode's initial Eastern Time Zone airtime." - Brandon Rhea(talk) 03:16, October 1, 2018 (UTC)
      • So we can't add info from episodes 2 or 3? I live on the east cost and have legal access to the episodes right now. Would this not count as airing? -User:Jabot164(talk) 05:18, October 9, 2018 (UTC)
        • No, they need to air on TV not on the Disney streaming service--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 05:20, October 9, 2018 (UTC)
          • Is there a specific reason why? I mean the whole of the United States can view these episodes if they have a cable plan. What makes it airing on the live Disney Channel different than it airing on the on-demand version of it? Could you link me to a more in-depth policy than the one linked above if possible? Sorry if i'm sounding hostile or anything, as i'm just curious. Thanks! --User:Jabot164(talk) 05:29, October 9, 2018 (UTC)

Only a small subset of readers have access to early releases. It's not fair to them to add spoilers to the site ahead of times. You have the exclusive and privileged access to early release for your enjoyment, but that doesn't mean the plot should be publicly revealed prior to the wide release. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 05:36, October 9, 2018 (UTC)

  • But if certain info is revealed in the released synopsis for an upcoming episode, can we at least put that in the appearances section? --Kingsman28 (talk) 07:44, October 11, 2018 (UTC)

Composer[edit source]

Are we sure this is actually being scored by a 15 year old? his IMDB looks fake and i cant find his name on any official lucasfilm releases. Clain4671 (talk) 18:09, October 7, 2018 (UTC)

  • OK i just watched the first episode on the app and can confirm this is NOT the composer. should we wait to update on airdate or just delete him now Clain4671 (talk) 18:18, October 7, 2018 (UTC)
    • The first episode just has Tavera as a guest composer. The main series will be done by McGill. - Cwedin(talk) 18:23, October 7, 2018 (UTC)
      • Nvm, who knows. - Cwedin(talk) 18:26, October 7, 2018 (UTC)
        • Hes not on the credits at all, even in episode 2. something is for sure up Clain4671 (talk) 18:28, October 7, 2018 (UTC)
          • If he's not credited, we should remove him from the article. We can always re-add the info if it turns out to be legitimate. - Cwedin(talk) 18:31, October 7, 2018 (UTC)
            • All three episodes credits says: "Star Wars Resistance Theme & Score by Michael Tavera". --NanoLuukeCloning facility 19:01, October 7, 2018 (UTC)
