Spying on Jacen's behalf

wait a second... she was spying on jacens behalf? i don't remember that Unsigned comment by Swerto (talk • contribs).

  • Yeah she was spying on Lowbacca, Tesar Sebatyne, and the other younger Jedi during the Swarm Wars. They were all acting pretty weird remember. Unsigned comment by Kyp-Durron (talk • contribs).

wait...i don't think she was activly "spying"-they were "talking" and she trusts him. if i trusted somebody enough to tell them something like that, i would, too. ...Starstruckjedi17

Introduction

Could we maybe find a better introduction? What we have now, besides being in the present tense, sounds like a sleazy personals ad. Anyone want to help me think of something better? - Breathesgelatin 08:33, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

  • We should probably make some sort of mention about her relationship with Anakin, but you are right: It does sound pretty sleazy. -- SFH 17:35, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

Quotes

can we get one of the quotes refering to her and anakins power together. as ikrit said anyway...Jedi Dude

you mean this one? "Together you're stronger than the sum of your parts." - Master Ikrit...Starstruckjedi17

Can The Poor Girl Take Much More?

Tahiri has had one of the hardest lives of anyone else in the Expanded Universe. Orphaned as a child, raised by sand people, goes to school and falls in love with Anakin only to see him brutally killed right before her eyes, she feels guilty for not kissing him before he died, she got shaped by the Vong(now that must have HURT!), she goes through that horrible identity struggle with her Yuuzhan Vong personality, now she's falling for Jacen and he's got a baby with another girl! What more can happen to poor Tahiri and can she take much more?--Kyp-Durron 20:34, 7 July 2006 (UTC)Kyp-Durron

  • Tahiri is strong of character and she'll make it, but she is my number one pick to become Jacen's Sith apprentice, though I'm not sure why other than she trusts Jacen the most. User:RushinSundaws 2:53 7, July 2006
    • Don't forget that she lost her"horrible identity struggle," too. She's no more Tahiri than Riina now, so even herbrain's been permanently scarred Unsigned comment by Darth Ceratis (talk • contribs).

Yeah, yeah yeah, she had a hard life. So what? Han Solo got the crap beaten out of him regularly when he was a kid, he had a lot of people he loved die, and he's not an evil dude, now is he? Boba Fett watched his dad get his head sliced off when he was ten. He's fallen into the Sarlaac, had his wife frozen in carbonite, etc. He hasn't thrown what little morals he has into the wind and said "Forget it, the galaxy is screwed." But this scum-sucking little snot HAS thrown all her morals, decency and brains into the pit of slime Jacen is wallowing in. Pelleaon was right; she is a villip. And I also hate it that yet again, the galaxy is being run by a Force-using individual. Palpatine had something going when he decided to kill all the Force-users. The galaxy wouldn't be suck a fricking mess if he'd succeeded. "FullmetalWookiee 23:50, 11 April 2008 (UTC)"

Spying?

Since the question is currently bracketing all the rest of the material, I thought I'd better seperate it from everything else; Kyp-Durron thinks she was spying on Tesar and Lowie, but I don't see any direct evidence of this in the novels. The original claim was made by an anon in this revision, and I'm removing/rewording it until and unless proof is presented.... -McEwok 20:52, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

  • Check DN: The Swarm War page 116-117 (UK Edition). Jacen doesn't outright state that he sent her to spy on them, but Luke does ask him that question, and Jacen only tries to evade it by repeating that they still talked, and Tesar and Lowbacca's doings came up more than once. Luke isn't fooled though and presses the issue with Jacen going on to defend himself by quoting his mother "Spying builds trust". I think there's a valid case for it, though I have changed the wording to reflect that it is only implied, not proven. -anon, 13:14 1 December 2006

Tahirih's name

I've found on Wikipedia about a wikipedia:Táhirih, "an influential female poet and theologian in nineteenth century Persia who campaigned for women's rights" who inspired the name of NGO wikipedia:Tahirih Justice Center. Upon wikipedia, Táhirih is Arabic for "The Pure One". As far as I know, Nancy Richardson did not know that. Should we include this paragraph (without saying "Wikipedia" everywhere) in a "Behind the Scenes" sections? - Skippy Farlstendoiro 09:34, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

  • I think info on the origin of the characters' names is always interesting, regardless of if the creators have known the background or not. In addition, Behind the Name says that Tahira (or Tahir in masculine form) is Arabic for "virtuous, pure, chaste," and Táhirih is a variant of the name used in Iran (i.e. former Persia). I've been planning to add that info in a BTS for ages, but haven't just gotten around to do it. I'd say go for it. :) --Tinwe 09:48, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

"Shaping"

I have no idea what this is or what it involves, and I think it would be best to perhaps explain what "shaping" is, and not to assume that everyone knows what it means. --Promus Kaa(Rebel Merchant) Redstarbird 22:54, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

  • The article currently states they shaped her to be closer to Yuuzhan Vong. That's about as well as it it can be explained without several sentences. If someone wants to explain that better, please go for it. -Fnlayson 00:08, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

Merging from Riina Kwaad

  • I've copied the content from her Riina Kwaad persona to a subsection under Personality here. Take a look at it. -Fnlayson 01:40, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Could we put it under her Biography instead and expand it from there? The Shaping was an important process and I think it could be moved up a couple sections. —Mirlen 13:16, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
      • The Riina Kwaad spanned a couple years or so. It didn't fit well in one spot in the Bio. Some reworking/rewriting would make it work though. -Fnlayson 16:39, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
      • The Riina Kwaad personality subsection matches up with other articles. It focuses more on feeling and thoughts. -Fnlayson 17:01, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Heh. The picture of Tahiri on the cover of Greg Bear's The Final Prophecy makes her look like my sister... ;-) Unsigned comment by Goodwood (talk • contribs).

Her Name

Dose anybody know how to pronounce it? -AL

Merging with Riina

When did she merge? Unsigned comment by 24.20.178.72 (talk • contribs).

Yeah I mean what were the stages and what books did they happen in. Like did she black out in the same one the personallities merged? Unsigned comment by 24.20.178.72 (talk • contribs).

  • She started having the black-outs in the NJO Force Heretic series. I think they started in the 1st book and she went into a comma somewhere in there. Jaina joined her in the comma and eventually Tahiri and Riina merged and she came out of the comma in the 3rd book. You'll need to read the books for more details.. -Fnlayson 17:04, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

Thank you. Sorry but one more thing. On one of the websites (not this one) it says something about Tahiri and Riina and some knid of cave. Does this mean anything? I know I read this in a fanfiction but I don't think it actually happened in the books did it? Unsigned comment by 24.20.178.72 (talk • contribs).

Darth "?"

If she's a Sith Lord, then what's her name? On top of that, do you think they'll hold another Darth Who contest again because of it? Jedi Wolf 4:07, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

  • There's no need for her to have a "Darth" name. After all, Lumiya didn't have one either.Common folk 15:06, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Remember that Caedus remained Jacen until assuming the mantle of Sith Lord. Perhaps Tahiri will follow that tradition and stay Tahiri until assuming full Sith powers. Although it's unlikely to ever occur. Unsigned comment by 128.205.223.120 (talk • contribs).

she might just use her vong personality name and go by darth riina. Verlok 22:59, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

I doubt they will have a contest, because the impression I get is that Tahiri's future is more unique than Caedus' future, i.e. different that the standard "becomes Sith Apprentice, gains the mantle of power" etc. Yes she is doing that now, but with the conclusion of the LotF series coming soon, I doubt we'll see details of Tahiri's time as a Sith, nor would it be as intriguing to most readers as Jacen's. I fear I have stepped dangerously close to the dark side of "speculation", but bottom line, contest is not likely. Mad Jax 16:45, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

  • On the subject of Lordship, since she is only an apprentice of Jacen, not yet a Lord (and definitely not a Dark Lord), could we remove that idiotic succession box? Charlii 15:16, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Lumiya pic

Why is there a picture of Lumiya in the article? It relates nothing to her. It seems like filler to me, I think we should remove it to make the article look nicer. JaingHead Darth Greig (Talk) 22:27, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Infobox

Seeing as Tahiri was redeemed by Ben Skywalker, shouldn't she have a Jedi infobox instead of a Sith one? ---Jaina Leia MaraJedi Knight

  • Indeed. I've just made it so. NaruHina 21:06, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

The Spoiler section

Alright, I read Invincible once and quickly because I think the book is trash minus a few scenes that were good. But Tahiri never really dueled Ben on Shedu Maad. They were under ground and Ben talked Tahiri down but they never dueled...shouldnt that be changed? Unsigned comment by Arjunta Pal (talk • contribs).

Although it was short, and admittedly Tahiri was almost trying to get herself killed, they still fought one another as they plummeted under ground. --Revan Averre 02:56, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Current Affiliaton?

I've read Invincible and while what happened to her in it isn't suprising. What's her current affiliation? Jedi, Sith, neutral? Unsigned comment by Meselyn (talk • contribs).

This is just something we're going to have to wait and see. Millennium Falcon is due out in December, I think and it should continue the post Legacy of the Force era from there.Mad Jax 08:08, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Quotes page?

Topic, really. I doubt I'm the only person who wishes there was a quotes page here for Tahiri.... Unsigned comment by 76.175.116.87 (talk • contribs).

that would be wonderful diobern 03:22, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Your wish is my command. ;) No, seriously, I've had a bunch of Tahiri quotes lying on my hard drive for ages, and I just haven't got around to make a page out of them here. Until now that is, so I guess I should thank you for spurring me to do it. Unfortunately the page has (almost) zero Lagacy era content, since I haven't read any of it yet, but I hope I or someone else will eventually add quotes from the Legacy books as well. Anyway, enjoy! :D --Tinwe 14:04, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

thank you for creating it diobern 14:15, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
