Exar Kun canon again?[]

So I read page 151 of the art book and saw that Exar Kun, or the Temple of Exar Kun specifically, was mentioned. Full quote: "The central desk, which represents the administrative seat of his power, is a bespoke piece of furniture. The stone base, that Dryden has plundered from the Sith temple of Exar Kun, is made from polished obsidian and decorated with carved hieroglyphs representing spells that protected its former home." Would this be enough for a canon article based on the information in this passage?--Vitus InfinitusTalk 04:20, May 30, 2018 (UTC)

  • I wouldn't make a canon article. That could very well just be the artist's notes/concept, and not a final canonical decision. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 04:25, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
    • Where could we present the information? Or should we at all?--Vitus InfinitusTalk 04:31, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
      • If we make an article for Vos' Sith holocron, we could put it into the behind the scenes section. It could also be mentioned in the Behind the scenes of Exar Kun. In that case though, since it's a Featured Article, I'd recommend contacting the nominator at User talk:Ifindyourlackoffaithdisturbing and asking him to make the addition. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 04:44, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
        • That sounds good to me--Vitus InfinitusTalk 04:45, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
          • Actually, it seems like it was already added. Guess that solves it then--Vitus InfinitusTalk 04:47, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
            • Wait, was the desk in the movie or not? - AV-6R7Crew Pit 04:57, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
              • Yes, it's identified as Dryden's desk in the Official Guide, page 78--Vitus InfinitusTalk 04:58, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
                • But that doesn't mean the artist's concepts made it into canon. Notice that Exar Kun isn't mentioned in the Official Guide, for example, despite countless other pulls from Legends lore in that book. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 05:00, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
  • No, but it could be added into the BTS of the article for Dryden's desk.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 05:01, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
    • My bad, I meant to say Vos' desk earlier - no idea why I said Sith holocron. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 05:02, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
      • The article, as written, currently implies that the desk did not appear in the final film. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 05:04, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
        • I'd have to rewatch the film, but because it's in the Official Guide I'd assume that it is.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 05:12, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
  • The art book's contents are considered canon, so shouldn't the mention of Exar Kun be considered canon as well? --ValarrMonterys (talk) 13:28, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
    • Not necessarily, if its just a concept that didn't appear in the final film then no that wouldn't be considered canon --Lewisr (talk) 13:43, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
      • The information of the art book is for BTS content, but given on the paragraph's wording, it seemed to me that it was established as fact. After discussing it here and looking online with the Story Group's response, I'm confident that Exar Kun isn't canon, at least not yet :P. The Official Guide identifies Dryden's desk, so the appropriate place for BTS info of Exar Kun should go in the BTS section of that article.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 14:52, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
        • Someone asked Leland Chee if including Exar Kun made him canon and Leland said no here --Lewisr (talk) 14:56, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
          • Nice to have a definitive answer from LSG, thanks--Vitus InfinitusTalk 15:00, May 30, 2018 (UTC)
