GrievousEdit

I see that General Grievous is part of the list of characters appearing in The Clone Wars Revival, but how do you know that? He didn't appear in the trailer, and the Utapau arc will probably not be part of this new season, so who/what confirmed his presence?Unsigned comment by Nanni95 (talk • contribs).

  • As no one has responded I'm going to remove it --Lewisr (talk) 15:13, June 23, 2019 (UTC)

Lucasfilm officially confirms, on their official Instagram account, that the revival season of The Clone Wars will be called Season 7 Edit

If we can add this as the new title for the Wookieepedia page of this project, Lucasfilm, via their validated Instagram account, has officially confirmed the revival season of The Clone Wars will be Season 7: https://www.instagram.com/p/BwSFXVqgeDJ/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=gvqwhh8og5d6.

So, now that it’s out there, can we change the name of the page from “Star Wars: The Clone Wars (revival)” to “The Clone Wars: Season Seven”? Please? Thank you. May the Force Be With You. Always

Release DateEdit

How sure are we that this season is being released this year? I ask as page 9 of Star Wars Insider 190 says that as production continues on the episodes that it will be a while yet before it will be released on Disney+. DarthRevan1173 RevanTOR001 (Long live Lord Revan) 08:05, June 23, 2019 (UTC)

  • Apparently during a Disney+ presentation in April, they said it would be coming within the first year of Disney+, so likely 2020 --Lewisr (talk) 00:41, June 24, 2019 (UTC)

February 17th, 2020 date confirmed from leaked Oh My Disney video that has been reuploaded on Vimeo. Edit

It has been revealed in this deleted video from Disney.com, that has been reuploaded to Vimeo at this link here (https://vimeo.com/382790726/description), titled “30 Disney Things to Look Forward to in 2020 | Oh My Disney”, that Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 will premiere on Disney Plus on February 17th, 2020. I hope we can add this into the wiki page for the final season. Unsigned comment by Alessio.pasquali.75 (talk • contribs).

  • Since the original video was deleted, it was done so for a reason, so either its incorrect or it was leaked. Therefore, we shouldn't add it until its confirmed in a press release, or when they want to officially release said video. Sam Witwer also did an interview recently where he said he had seen a release date going around that was inaccurate, probably referring to this 17th Feb date, so take that for what you will --Lewisr (talk) 04:29, January 16, 2020 (UTC)
    • Besides, leaked information is not allowed here.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 04:41, January 16, 2020 (UTC)
      • I don't know f we should believe Sam Witwer yet because the same video that leaked that Clone Wars date also said Toy Story 4 would be on Disney+ on February 5th. And, I looked up "Toy Story 4" on the Disney Plus app today and it is indeed confirmed that Ty Story 4 will come to Disney+ on February 5th. So, that's more reason why I believe Disney leaked the date and Sam Witwer may be mistake in believing the February 17th date was inaccurate.
        • Doesn't matter if Sam Witwer is right or wrong, there's no official source confirming the date. The information/video was removed from official sources, so we should respect that and wait until they share the date. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 05:12, January 16, 2020 (UTC)

Canon, Legends or Both?Edit

So this season along with the rest of the show is obviously part of the new Disney canon, but does it fit into the old Legends Expanded Universe? Should we incorporate this season into Legends as we have for the first six seasons? So far on this site we have treated the first six seasons as part of both the new Disney canon and Legends—this has always been controversial because of how much the show contradicts previous Legends works, but that's the way it is. This new season is more ambiguous though, and I can see arguments for and against including it in Legends. On the one hand, the work on this season began before the 2014 announcement about Legends (keep in mind preliminary production of these options began 6+ years ago and was stopped when the show was cancelled), so we should treat this as a continuation of the other seasons of the show (much like The Old Republic MMO was started before 2014 and continues as Legends to this day) rather than having the awkward rule that the first six seasons are part of both continuities, while the last one is part of Disney only. On the other hand, at this point Lucasfilm has been able to develop this so that it's closely intertwined with Rebels and other works that are unequivocally part of the new Disney canon only, and not Legends. What do you guys think? Is there an official confirmation either way anywhere? --ID-21 Dolphin DolphinJedi(Talk) 23:20, February 17, 2020 (UTC)

In my view it should be included in both, because the work began before disney took over, tho i think many will disagree. on the otherhand, with the finished bad batch arc having some slightly different scenes than the story reel, it would make sense to put the story reel version under legends in this wiki, cause it is definately from before disney, and the finished ones under canon. and so both versions would be included in this wiki CharlotteSmoothie (talk) 21:23, February 23, 2020 (UTC)

  • Thanks for pitching in and sorry for the late reply. Would we need a larger sitewide vote regarding the inclusion of Season 7 material on this site's Legends section? How would we go about that?--ID-21 Dolphin DolphinJedi(Talk) 19:16, April 1, 2020 (UTC)

1.1 Cleanup Edit

Possible page corruption or vandalism:

When browsing the page this morning, I noticed several cases where odd phrases or random strings were seemingly randomly inserted into otherwise sensible sentences.

The nature of these look like someone might have been attempting some childish pranking, or there just might have been some sort of corruption in the database. Either way, an experienced editor/admin probably needs to do some clean up.

It was vandalism, the page has now been fixed.--Typhuss999 (talk) 16:38, May 12, 2020 (UTC)
