Confusion

I'm very confused on the issue of this series: are they still making new episodes, but just not for Cartoon Network, right? And how does Season Six fit in all of this?--24.205.161.69 01:21, March 12, 2013 (UTC)

Season 6 confirmed.

Filoni had posted yesterday on his Facebook page that he has not only finished the production of the remaining episodes of The Clone Wars, but he will be airing Season 6 with the remaining episodes on early 2014:

"Star Wars fans - I have some exciting news! We have wrapped production on all of the remaining Star Wars: The Clone Wars episodes, and while that might be sad news in one way, it's good news in another. It means you will finally get to see them. When, exactly, is a detail I cannot yet share. I can confirm that in early 2014 you will be watching the final episodes of The Clone Wars, including one of Master Yoda's most challenging missions. So, get ready. We've got Clone Wars and Rebels coming at you in 2014. Animated Star Wars is alive and well. Trust in the Force my friends.

• Are you sure that when Dave said that they finished production on the episodes, that he meant the entire Season Six. Plus, he doesn't actually say Season Six. So is it possible that he meant that they just finished the arcs that would compose the bonus content, meaning that Season Six would still technically be cancelled.   • Yes, Season Six technically does not exist—only the episodes that were going to be part of Season Six will be released. "Bonus content" is the common way that everyone (including the crew) is referring to the episodes. Once we get more information on the specific episodes, articles will be created for them. • The series, not necessarily the season, was cancelled. We'll have to wait until we know how they'll refer to the remaining episodes when they are released. We do know that a season six was in production and that these episodes would be part of it. When is it airing?

  • Also, keep in mind that regarding the release of these bonus episodes (at least in the U.S.), nothing is 100% official unless it comes from Lucasfilm Ltd. and/or StarWars.com. There's a lot of hubbub about the bonus episodes being released overseas (possibly in Germany or Poland, for example), but no news have come yet regarding a specific release date (or form) in the U.S. CC7567 ^(talk) 22:38, January 24, 2014 (UTC)

Episode Count

  • The marketing campaign at the time of the episodes' release primarily referred to them as "The Lost Missions," which is why the article is where it currently is; the home video release additionally refers to them as such. The Clone Wars: Season Six still redirects to the article, which is how it should be—the 13 episodes that were released do not constitute a TV season in full, which is what led to "The Lost Missions" title.     • There's no standard of what should constitute a 'TV season in full'. The home video release does have that title (as it should), but since this is a season of the show, and for consistency sake, I believe the article's title should be 'Season Six'. Every current outlet calls it that way, even the soundtrack. I don't think that the argument about the way it was marketed originally should hold (for example: we have 'Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope' not 'Star Wars', same for the following films).     • it was labeled as staffel sechs/season six when it debuted in germany, and is now labelled as season 6 on star wars com also since the revival is called season seven it should be moved back. also we do not call season 2 "Rise of the Bounty Hunters" because its just a marketing name, why should it be different here? especially since the netflix label will disappear soon CharlotteSmoothie (talk) 00:28, April 26, 2019 (UTC)
      • Assuming you're referring to this page, the only instance that calls it "Season 6" is in the browse tab, while twelve other instances on that same page refer to it as "The Lost Missions." Status in continuity

• You won't find any links or official commentary from Lucasfilm on this matter, as LFL does not formally consider any episodic content from Star Wars: The Clone Wars to be part of Legends. We choose to treat the OT films, PT films, and TCW as part of Legends as part of our own internal organization structure, since logically the overall EU continuity is inseparably rooted in those stories and cannot be properly told without them. Since TCW Season 6 was released prior to the Legends announcement of April 25, 2014, it too is considered part of Legends for Wookieepedia's purposes.
