What would be the best way to state that the Outlander participated in the conflict with Revan and such, because it is stated in the expansion, through conversation with Lana and Theron, that they all knew each other from that event. Clearly the Outlander was any one of the class stories, so somehow all of this should be stated in the bio while remaining vague. 18:29, October 27, 2015 (UTC)

  • Definitely. I am actually preparing to massively expand the article to incorporate pre-Fallen Empire biographical related content, since it has been established that the Outlander is one of the vanilla class characters (although not any particular one). Is anyone else having trouble accessing the edit function of this article? I am trying to expand it, but it keeps freezing up for some reason. Darth Ravigious (talk) 14:02, May 5, 2016 (UTC)

Age of the OutlanderEdit

I'm noting that the article says that the Outlander was born "in the decades before the Great Galactic War". None of the player characters are that old. I'm thinking there is confusion (potentially even from official sources) about differentiating the Great Galactic War (everything from the return of the Sith to the Sacking of Coruscant) from the Galactic War (everything from Act 2 of the player character's class quests through to the Eternal Empire's victory between Act I and II of KotFE). Is there a specific source establishing that the Outlander is from before the Great Galactic War? Main image? Edit

Why do we have an image of a Zakuulian knight as the image for the Outlander? I know they were disguised as one at one point, but still. Should we use promotional images of the character instead? Images of the character model used in the trailer?--RemingtonV (talk) 13:31, March 22, 2018 (UTC)

  • Promotional images and images used in trailers are not representative of canonical appearances of the Outlander and similar customizable characters. We do not have the authority to pick one of the random representations of the Outlander from promotional media and choose it as the character's true appearance. We can only use images of the character that appear the same to every player for every playthrough. Currently, the only image that fits this criteria is the image of the Outlander in their disguise as the Zakuulan knight. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 15:03, March 22, 2018 (UTC)
    • Roger that. Makes sense to me.--RemingtonV (talk) 02:22, March 23, 2018 (UTC)
  • I have removed the main image but I'm open to reversal and debate here. Here's why: personally I think we need to stop with this intensive need of having a main image. Main images should be good representations of the article at hand. Since we can never have a canonical representation of the Outlander (or any of the 8 main characters), I believe this main image should be removed. It's a worthy image for the article body sure, but a full-armored disguise (used only for a short time) does not represent the Outlander. The image represents a Knight of Zakuul, which the Outlander was not at any occasion and it may induce the reader into thinking so incorrectly. Winterz (talk) 19:36, March 12, 2019 (UTC)
    • I disagree. It is an image, and that's all that really matters. Cipher Nine is not a droid, yet the image of them from the story mission on Nar Shadda remains the image. To avoid what would be close to an edit war, I'm not going to add it back until further arguments are given. Fan26 (Talk) 19:48, March 12, 2019 (UTC)
      • I hadn't noticed Cipher Nine's but I would use the same argument. And I have given enough arguments about it. Main images need to represent the content. A droid disguise does not represent Cipher 9. And main images should not be forced just for the sake of existing. I could use a better example in a featured article for the Jedi Knight character: Hero of Tython. Winterz (talk) 19:53, March 12, 2019 (UTC)
        • I still don't really agree but I've checked with some others and you were right. Fan26 (Talk) 02:36, March 13, 2019 (UTC)
        • The droid disguise does indeed represent Cipher Nine. They're a cipher agent, disguise is one of their specialties. --ProtectorOfTheSevenKingdoms (talk) 23:56, March 30, 2019 (UTC)
