Scarlet2435 (talk)I'm curious about an live-action Star Wars showScarlet2435 (talk) The show sounds very interesting, because I feel like after a lot of animated Star Wars shows, there was never a live-action one. So I'm curious and excited to see how the show will turn out. Unsigned comment by Scarlet2435 (talk • contribs).

Any chance[]

any chance that Sabine from Star Wars Rebels might be in this as a Live actress? Chasemarc (talk) 22:46, January 4, 2019 (UTC)

  • Possible I guess, we'll have to wait and see if anything is announced! However in future please ensure that you use the talk page for changes to the article rather than a discussion about it, feel free to visit discussions if you want to discuss the show or visit the Knowledge Bank --Lewisr (talk) 22:51, January 4, 2019 (UTC)

There's no confirmation the droids pictured are actually IG-88 or R5-D4, so should they really be listed as appearing? The IG droid in particular has different design features than '88 - TLM86 00:20, March 22, 2019 (UTC)

  • I agree --Lewisr (talk) 00:24, March 22, 2019 (UTC)

Nick Nolte[]

Is Nick Nolte playing Kuiil? --Goodmind (talk) 23:28, October 25, 2019 (UTC)

Should this be The Mandalorian or changed to Star Wars: The Mandalorian?--Vitus InfinitusTalk 17:41, November 9, 2019 (UTC)

I think so, as with all the other shows CharlotteSmoothie (talk) 14:17, 21 December 2020 (UTC)

Unidentified species[]

There were a lot of different species featured in Chapter 1 and Chapter 3 which have yet to be identified and added to the respective pages. It will require more knowledgeable editors.

9 ABY is apparently wrong![]

Bryan Young has tweeted that "Favreau said The Mandalorian happens seven years after Yavin, which means it takes place three years after the Battle of Endor, not five. There was some official ad copy that said "about five years" and that's added a lot of confusion on this issue." Worse yet, "There’s nothing at the moment, on-screen, tying them to anything between 1 and even 10 years after Endor and it is probably fluid until there’s a story reason to put it in a definite place." --Lelal Mekha The Uprising crest.png (Audience Room) 08:24, December 9, 2019 (UTC)

Official stills[]

Found a whole bunch of official stills (archived the link too). Would be good to add them to the wiki. Shayanomer 19:06, December 14, 2019 (UTC)

Episode titles[]

Disney+ has updated its Mandalorian listings to match the episode title cards (e.g. "Chapter 1" --> "Chapter 1: The Mandalorian"), so we should do the same. Chapter 1: The Mandalorian to Chapter 1: The Mandalorian, Chapter 2: The Child to Chapter 2: The Child, and so forth. The episode template {{TheMandalorian}} will also need to be updated. Anyone have other thoughts on this? - Cwedin(talk) 22:00, January 27, 2020 (UTC)

  • Unless anyone's opposed, I'll go ahead and move the pages. - Cwedin(talk) 02:29, February 6, 2020 (UTC)

Season 3[]

The show has already been confirmed for its third season. If someone would add that, that would be great. I don't know the proper protocol for doing it on this site and would hate to cause trouble. --Metalworker14 (talk) 03:19, May 3, 2020 (UTC)

why george isn´t credit as a writer?george is a writer in the show the imdb as george credit as a writer Unsigned comment by Beanbunny4 (talk • contribs).

since it says five years after return of the jedi but doesn´t say how long it takes place before the force awakens does that mean that the rumors of the sequel trilogy being decanonized is true? Unsigned comment by Bean bunny (talk • contribs).

  • First of all, rumors of the sequel trilogy being decanonized are what I would call Star Wars conspiracy theories. Secondly, IMDb is not an official source.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 21:44, July 31, 2020 (UTC)

if its only conspiracy theories than why this article doesn´t say how long the show takes place before the force awakens

why are you saying imdb is lying about george being a writer for the show? Unsigned comment by Bean bunny (talk • contribs).

  • It doesn't say because it just doesn't need to say how long before the sequels it is, mentioning how long after Episode 6 is enough. The sequel trilogy is not being decanonised, don't believe everything you read on the internet. Also, Vitus wasn't saying IMDB was lying, all he said that was IMDB is not an official source, therefore we shouldn't use it to source George Lucas as being a writer --Lewisr (talk) 12:40, August 1, 2020 (UTC)

so you are saying that lucas is not a writer in the mandalorian? Unsigned comment by Bean bunny (talk • contribs).

  • They're saying that there is no credible, official proof that he was a writer for the series, so we cannot say for sure either way. If the series did not credit him and no official source mentioned that he was involved, there's no reason we should assume that he was. Zed42 (talk) 12:58, August 1, 2020 (UTC)
  • No, Lucas was not a screenwriter for The Mandalorian. IMDb is likely referring to a WGA "based on characters created by" credit, which Lucas receives for every Star Wars project (since he wrote the original 1977 film). It's the same as Ian Fleming receiving credit for the James Bond movies. - Cwedin(talk) 15:30, August 1, 2020 (UTC)

but imdb as lucas credit as a writer in the first 9 episodes it doesn´t say characters based on him

but imdb as lucas credit as a writer in the first 9 episodes it doesn´t say based on characters created by him

i am sure the sequels are gona be erased i heard about a luke movie set during the mandalorian that is gonna retcon the sequels

Main image[]

As with the new logo released today, I was wondering if the image on the page for the show should be updated or if it should remain season one’s. Is there a policy for this? JediMasterMacaroni (talk) 03:10, September 3, 2020 (UTC)

Season logos[]

I think we should make the logos for season 1 and 2 in the table look more of the same, so they have the same height and the same width. Currently it looks a bit weird because the s1 logo has more black on the top and at the bottom than s2 and s2 has more black on the sides than the one of s1. CanePlayz (talk) 23:53, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

  • Fixed. JediMasterMacaroni Admiral Ackbar RH.png(Conversation) 00:32, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
    • Great, thank you, that's better already. Although I would cut a bit off from the top and the bottom of the season one logo to make it look more similar to the new S2 one. But I could do that on my own tomorrow if you want to do more important stuff. CanePlayz (talk) 01:07, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

Wait what[]

Season 3 has been confirmed? Sandakin (talk) 20:23, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

  • It has not. Someone cited the Investor meeting but the one thing they DIDN'T confirm at that meeting was a third season. 16:20, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
    • As stated here, the investor meeting did announce a third season. VergenceScatter (talk) 16:22, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

george lucas involvement[]

you should include george lucas as one of the writers because he is one of the writers in the show he is credit as a writer in imdb and no its not a mistake if he his credit as a writer that means he is one of the writers and he is also a consultant for favreau and dave Unsigned comment by Beanbunny2 (talk • contribs).

  • We don't use IMDb, we only use official sources. --Vitus InfinitusTalk 17:03, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
