What the Phrik?Edit

Any information on whether this Ultrachrome is derivative of Phrik ore and or a variant of cortosis?--Sochwa 03:54, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Shatterpoint Edit

When I read Shatterpoint I got the impression that the term "ultrachrome" just meant "highly reflective", referring to the metal's appearance, not its composition. The only time Mace Windu directly named the metal he only called it "starship armor". Did the New Essential Chronology deffinitively confirm that the metal itself was called ultrachrome? I've read that the Chronology has many inaccuracies anyway. Darth Havoc 02:23, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Commonality Edit

Cortosis is described as being exceptionally rare and highly sought-after for it's energy ablative properties. Phrik is described as being equally rare and valuable, as is Mandalorian iron. But Ultrachrome exibits the same properties as these rare and valuable resources but was used commonly in starship construction? Am I missing something here? 98.27.213.72 18:44, November 15, 2011 (UTC)

CommonalityEdit

When i first read about this a long time ago, i can't remember the source, its was stated that it was hard/expensive to make. Only Star ships of the super rich would have this metal for armor. It also said that over time the art of making Ultrachrome was lost/forgotten, It never mentioned the reason for this.--Red Dragon Ripper (talk) 00:51, October 14, 2014 (UTC)
