Venator or Imperial Star Destroyer[]

Catalyst says this is a Imperial Star Destroyer fresh from the Corellian shipyards whilst ROTS shows a Venator-class --Lewisr (talk) 01:39, February 9, 2018 (UTC)

  • In which chapter is this mentioned?--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:41, February 9, 2018 (UTC)
    • 13, when Vader/Tarkin and Sidious go to Geonosis --Lewisr (talk) 01:43, February 9, 2018 (UTC)
      • Did it say "Imperial Star Destroyer" or "Imperial-class Star Destroyer"? Cause if it's the first one it could be that the ship, was one of the first Venators to be built as an "imperial" one. As in the gray color scheme and etc--Vitus InfinitusTalk 01:55, February 9, 2018 (UTC)
        • 'FRESH FROM THE CORELLIAN SHIPYARDS, an Imperial Star Destroyer' that's whats in the book --Lewisr (talk) 01:58, February 9, 2018 (UTC)
          • Seems to me that it's a Venator but one of the new Imperial retrofitted ones. Although Imperial Star Destroyer is typically associated with Imperial-class Star Destroyers, it could also just be a general term, like Imperial cruiser or Imperial frigate.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 02:00, February 9, 2018 (UTC)
            • It doesn't say anything about being retrofitted so we can't really assume that it is one of those though --Lewisr (talk) 02:06, February 9, 2018 (UTC)
              • I think its been used as a generalization, saying that it was an Imperial ship instead of a Imperial-class--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 02:08, February 9, 2018 (UTC)
  • Retrofitted I mean that it has a gray color scheme and stuff like that while the standard Venators had red and gray markings. But yeah, it seems to be a generalization. The film also takes precedence, so the info of the ship from Catalyst could be noted in the BTS of the article.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 02:11, February 9, 2018 (UTC)
    • When its a novelization film is given priority, in this case there's no film priority--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 02:15, February 9, 2018 (UTC)
      • Made a note in the BTS --Lewisr (talk) 02:17, February 9, 2018 (UTC)
