A sound-deadened grenade. Considering that grenades get most of their power from the concussive blast and the shraphnel that it produces, I'm going to go out a limb here and say this has no business being accepted as canon. —Unsigned comment by 129.115.35.203 (talk • contribs).

V-1[]
Is the name related in any way to the V-1 weapon used by Nazi Germany towards the end of World War II? Lieutenant Caminus 04:46, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- mhmm, I looked it up. I suppose it could be related, but because the V-1 flying bomb was a cruise missile rather than a hand-held grenade, and the fact that there are other stuff named with V1 (although it's the only explosive there is), I'd rather not include it in a BTS section. Oh and also because there's no canonical evidence, even though some articles do mention the probability that item a is related to real-world item b. Cyfiero 12:01, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Sound Dampened[]
The only appearances of the V-1 thermal detonators were in the Star Wars: Battlefront series... Where does it say that they were sound dampened? I don't think they had any information on the grenades that said that they were sound dampened. The information for the weapons and equipment can actually be found in the Star Wars: Battlefront: Prima Official Game Guides. But according to the information there, V-1 thermal detonators were calibrated to cause maximum casualties to any droid or organic caught within the blast radius. "Clone troopers carry a smaller, battlefield verson of the devastating thermal detonator. The device has been calibrated to maximize enemy casualties." It does not mention the grenades being sound dampened at all. Although there's no proof that the Prima Official Game Guides contain canon information, it is the only place I can find with information on these grenades. Marco Lam 22:21, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
