Wrong german redirection Edit

Can someone pls change the redirection to de:X-Flügler]]. Thanks. -- 21:28, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

How did they create the X-wing? --General Chris 17:37, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Human creativity and a lot of kitbashing. 12seraph 23:47, November 18, 2011 (UTC)

Related Incom Designs? Edit

Is it worth putting a "related incom designs" section here to list the Z-95 Headhunter, the ARC 170, and the CF9 Crossfire? It might be nice to show these ships as predecessors and descendants of the X-Wing design. The ARC 170 and CF9 especially seem to follow an alternate design path from:

Just a thought. BlackRebelStarbird fodigg(talk) | 14:08, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

"X-Wing" or "X-Wing Series" Edit

As this article seems to be discussing the series of fighters that are called "X-Wings", should it be renamed "X-Wing Series"? BlackRebelStarbird fodigg(talk) | 14:13, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

    • Yeah, and have "X-wing" redirected to the generic T-65. 'cause that's probably the article people are looking for. I think the info box could be removed as well, the figures do not apply to a the different types mentioned here.--BaldFett 15:00, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

Sources? Edit

Why doesn't have this article any source or appearance? Darth Morrt 14:12, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

True Length Edit

this page says the x-wing is 16 meters long. the T-65 page says its 12.5. which is correct? FreqiMANN 19:34, August 5, 2011 (UTC)

  • Neither. The actual length is about 42' (~12.8m), established from the 1/24 pilot in the ~21" studio model USED IN THE MOVIE. 12seraph 04:42, November 18, 2011 (UTC)
    • Couldn't the 12,5m have come from the actual 1/1 prop? That thing didn't have to deal with interior sets like the Falcon did. --BaldFett 11:52, November 29, 2011 (UTC)
      • So I decided to look up the 16 meter figure on my trusty copy of BTM, and it turns out it also says 12,5 meters, just like any other source. Since there is no sourced 16 meters, I'm changing it.--BaldFett 15:45, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

1.4 Wookification Edit

Can we get rid of that picture of the stormtrooper in the x-wing? It seems silly and doesn't add anything to the article. Evilnerf (talk) 01:10, September 13, 2012 (UTC)

  • I don't see how it hurts the article. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 03:50, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
    • Well, it seems very misleading and confusing to me. Hypothetically, if someone was unfamiliar with Star Wars, wanted to know more about X-wings and came to this page, then they might be under the impression that the Stormtroopers rode around in them. It also isn't depicting something that actually happened, it's not depicting any canonical event where an X-wing was stolen. Granted, I don't know where the picture is from because it's not cited, but it looks to me just like fan art or a screenshot from a video game. Evilnerf (talk) 06:29, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
      • For the record, it's a screencap of a loading screen from Galaxies and because of that, it does depict a canonical event. It also says the trooper was stealing it and it's a spaceship, so there's nothing indicating that Stormtroopers never flew them. It would be pretty stupid to not teach your men the rudiments of flying the enemy's primary mode of transport. Rebels stole TIEs all the time. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 02:54, October 19, 2012 (UTC)
        • I'm a little late in the game, but just wanted to chime in. I actually uploaded that image a while back. I can see how this may not have been the right article for the image, but I do think we should find an article appropriate enough to include it. It was a LucasArts licensed artwork, so it seems pretty canon in my book. StarsiderSWG (talk) 16:15, September 14, 2013 (UTC)

Blue Four or Five Edit

Pretty sure the novel made Luke Blue Five, but i'll check... if i can find my copy of the book. Unless someone finds it for me/before me? -- 06:47, April 7, 2018 (UTC)
