Are we using numerals to refer to all numbered planets or systems? Just want to make sure we aren't doing Yavin IV. If we do it for planets, should we do it for starships (Mark I and Mark II ISDs?) --SparqMan 04:05, 6 May 2005 (UTC)

Yavin 4 is "moon" of the star Yavin, wouldn't that make it a planet?--SparqMan 04:05, 6 May 2005 (UTC)

  • SparqMan, calm down. Yavin 4 is a moon of the gas giant Yavin. The star would also be called Yavin (star) but that does not make Yavin 4 a planet of it. Also we go by whatever is most used or seen in the Star Wars community when it comes to roman numerals versus numbers. -- Riffsyphon1024 04:31, 6 May 2005 (UTC)

I wasn't uncalm, Riffsyphon, just trying to understand if this is systemic or individual. Most sources, including the novelization, IIRC, refer to it as "Yavin IV". As for the moon question, I misread the text. My bad. --SparqMan 07:27, 10 May 2005 (UTC)

  • It's 4 in about 90% of sources. Although sometimes one does see IV or even Four.--Valin Kenobi 06:25, 11 Dec 2005 (UTC)
    • I realise this is an old debate, but I just saw this on Leeland Chee's blog " Frequently Misspelled Star Wars words" it says "'Yavin 4' not 'Yavin IV' ('Yavin Four' is used when written as dialogue)" Lonnyd 07:32, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
  • If there are 22 moons of Yavin, would it make any sense at all to use Roman Numerals for all of them?

First of all, its much easier to read Yavin 4 than Yavin IV and like the person above me said, it doesn't make any sense to use roman numerals for all the moons.

Flora and FaunaEdit

Can we get a flora and fauna section like on Tatooine? Cutch 03:02, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

More infoEdit

Class? Diameter? Gavity?

Any chance of changing that quote? It's kind of...terrible. Maybe one from Suvam Tan would be better.

  • Huh, I could've sworn I heard that quote from Suvam - lalala_la

Copyvio Edit

Some data were copy/paste from this website to the article:

Roman numerals Edit

It should have the Roman numeral IV instead of the Arabic numeral 4. This is the correct format for the names of moons like this. They do the same thing for moons of gas giants in the solar system and it's the article title for the wikipedia entry--Darth Scott 20:36, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Also this is done for other articles including Orion IV,Malachor V,Telos IV,Eres III,Keriba VI,Kemplex IX and Blathar III so I think we should do the same.--Darth Scott 20:46, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
Roman numerals are also used for planets like Aeten II, Alzoc III, and Mechis III, and it isn't like Roman and Arabic numerals can't be used interchangeably (for the most part). Zeta1127 of the 89th Legion (talk) 23:34, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

Better quality picture Edit

Could someone please change the picture of Yavin IV, If your going to use Empire At War, atleast use better graphics turn them up so its at its highest!! Imperial Eyebrows 23:10, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Isn't the Yavin 4 very close to Mustafar?

Escaped Massassi? Edit

I see someone removed a bit of information about some Massassi fleeing the surface of the moon before Exar Kun drained their lives. This was featured in the old Classic Star Wars adventure "The Night Beast". Is that story still canon? --LelalMekha (talk) 08:41, August 16, 2012 (UTC)

What about SoR? - I looked at this article and noticed that it is missing almost all of the lore added by the SWTOR Shadow of Revan expansion. I'm terrible at editing and writing these sorts of things, so I was hoping someone else might be able to add it. Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).

  • In three weeks, I'll be doing my SWTOR Expansion Project. I'll remember to add something to this planet about Shadow of Revan, if nobody else does by then! If I remember correctly, Revan revived the Sith Emperor on this planet, right? - LoLuX12 (walkietalkie) 01:28, April 19, 2016 (UTC)
