Tango Company was an elite company of clone troopers within the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Members of Tango Company bore a striped sigil on their armored shoulder plates that resembled a stylized tiger face and teal blue markings.
History[]
Shortly after the Second Battle of Geonosis, trooper Scythe got infected by a Geonosian brain worm. Later, on board the medical frigate TB-73, he helped spread the infection amongst the clones, who were mind-controlled by the worms and were forced to attack the Jedi. The unit's leader, Lieutenant Trap, was killed by Barriss Offee in self-defense. However, the infection was eventually dealt with, and most clones of the company survived the incident.
Besides Lieutenant Trap and Scythe, members of Tango Company included Edge, Havoc, Ox, and Pulsar.
It continued to serve in the Galactic Empire, where it and its members were awarded the Imperial Medal of Valor for its role in the Lasan Suppression.
Green Aurebesh graffiti next to the exit of the latrine in the 79's cantina on Coruscant said "TANGO CO".[1]
