Tapestries were pieces of woven, heavy textile fabric characterized by complicated pictorial designs and that were used as wall hangings. Such items often depicted famous individuals or historical events—in which case they were known as heritage tapestries.[1] Some were precious pieces of art[2][3] and could usually be found in palaces and castles across the galaxy,[4][5] as well as in prestigious places such as the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.[1] Tapestries could be woven out of various materials including silkweed from Kushibah,[6] Guarlara underfur,[7] or fiberplast.[8]
