- "Rather than sniff out conspiracy in every corner, I think this is just a political save-face maneuver. After the embarrassment of last week's plea to Dooku, I think Palpatine's finally getting some real direction by turning to those more proactive than he."
- ―Senator Tashrikam
Tashrikam was a senator who represented[1] the planet[2] Grizmallt in the Galactic Senate of the Republic.[1] In 22 BBY,[3] Supreme Chancellor Palpatine announced the formation of the Loyalist Committee, a group of politicians united to diplomatically address the growing Separatist Crisis.[1]
In a statement recorded in the 13:3:28 issue of the HoloNet News CoCo District Edition, Tashrikam considered the committee's creation a maneuver made by the chancellor to save face rather than a chance to hunt conspiracies. Tashrikam compared the committee's formation to the chancellor's HoloNet plea made in the previous week for negotiations with Separatist Head of State Count Dooku, praising Palpatine's new direction in turning to proactive members of the senate for assistance.[1]
