The Taung & Zhell Society was a student society at the University of Coruscant, on the planet of the same name.[1] The society shared its name with the Taung and Zhell, two ancient and historical sentient species from Coruscant.[2] Tiaan Jerjerrod, a Tinnel IV native who later became a Moff of the Galactic Empire, was once a member of the society.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The Taung & Zhell Society was mentioned in the canon boxed set and reference book Star Wars: The Rebel Files, authored by Daniel Wallace and released in 2017.[1] Wallace intended it as a reference to the Skull and Bones secret society[3] at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.[4]
